{Fiora} reply wheneva you can, just wanted to post it before i forget! :x The ground was spongy beneath his toes and concaved with each step that he took, soft to the touch as his pads brushed against the moss. XIX was keen to explore the territories that bordered his new home, but he had an ulterior motive to his travels. Unsure of whether the Woods was the place for the small group of wolves that the yearling now called his family, the ghost was off scouting for a potential place to claim as their home. There were other packs far too close to the Woods and with Shade’s motherless litter to worry about; it was the rest of the pack’s duty to ensure that the two puppies were safe. Of course, XIX also had Anastasia and Capella to worry about as well – even though he knew they were both fully capable of taking care of themselves, the lanky teen still worried about them frequently when they were not around. Silence swallowed the young wolf, the moss beneath him muting his steps as he ventured through the strange ‘forest’ – he had never seen a place quite like this before. The forests XIX had been used to were usually rather creepy, with tall, looming trees that created a never-ending shadow. Everything here was slowly rotting away, most of the trees broken and littered with a variety of different fungi. Although he wasn’t sure that Verdant was safe for the puppies, with all the different mushrooms growing all over the place, it was a place that Lachesis could see himself visiting often in the future. Being engulfed in silence usually made the yearling nervous, but here it was comforting; it made him feel safe. The foliage here was far different from what he was used to, and intrigued the curious teenager. With most of it being inedible, or dying, XIX knew that this wouldn’t be an ideal hunting ground but it allowed him to think more clearly. The memories that normally haunted him had been subdued since he had joined with the wolves residing in the Woods, and this place made those memories almost impossible to access. The pear-eyed boy was growing to like this side of Relic Lore, and was glad that he and Anastasia had made the decision to join Capella’s pack. As long as it was away from Reaper, the boy was satisfied (and as long as Ana was happy). |
