@Jasmine - Partly Cloudy — Current Temperature: 75° F/24° C Late Evening/Midnight

He'd found a bit of respite in the fields of fruit. In fact, Chulyin spent more than a day there, sleeping and enjoying the frequency of prey that lingered about the bushes. By the time he'd left, the knight was feeling much better, refreshed, relaxed, and most importantly, fed. And it was important that he was feeling this way, because the next leg of his journey involved the climbing of a mountain, which was no easy feat. He longed to rendezvous with his sister, as he'd failed to garner any information regarding her, and could only hope to stumble upon her now. It had been half a day's walk to the base of the mountain and then he found himself resting for a bit by the waterfall. He drank to his heart's content, knowing that the journey would likely be hard and he'd need to be hydrated.

Before he truly started, the sun was beginning to descend. But the man wasn't bothered by the impending darkness. It would only make him blend, and less likely to be bothered by prowling felines. And so his journey began. It was slow at first, mostly him picking his way along, trying to acclimate to the rocky surface. But it only got slower the higher he got, when the path he'd followed became less worn and far more rocky. On occasion, he scented a cougar, prowling. But the faint breeze was in his favor and his dark pelt kept him well hidden otherwise. On an small outcropping, Chulyin decided to rest. It was far out enough that he didn't have to fear falling, should he doze off.

The moon was clear in the sky, not quite full yet, but in a few days it would be. He longed to howl, as though he could call out to all this land and somehow @Naira would hear it. But on this thin cliff, he didn't want to attract unwanted attention, and so the man remained silent, laid out, and head upon his paws. <b style="color:#a51919">

So sorry I took so long! Jasmine's muse was very uncooperative :c
@Chulyin

It was dark, and late, and the white female felt fatigue tug at her muscles. It had been a long, hard day. Her pads ached, her tongue was parched and climbing up the steep slope of the mountain side had tired her out. But she had to keep going, to get over the mountain, and find her brother. He just had to be there, she had searched everywhere else, and he hadn't been there. Thinking of her brother made it easier to ignore the tiredness and pain she was feeling, but that also meant she wasn't concentrating on where she was going. Her emerald eyes were half closed and her head drooped low, and she didn't see the rock outcropping ahead of her. That is, until she walked into it.

A yelp escaped from her maw before she could stop it as pain flared throughout her front right leg. There was the sharp scent of metallic blood, and the white female winced as she set her paw down on the rough ground. Emerald eyes looked down at the wound; there was a small gash above her knee that was oozing blodd, which was dripping down her white legs and making it look worse than it actually was. Biting her tongue to keep from making any noise, the white female attempted to walk forwards, toward another outcropping that was large enough for her to lie on, and clean her wound before she fell asleep.But she didn't realize that there was already a wolf on the outcropping until his scent wafted over to her. The white female froze and her hackles rose slightly and she took on a defensive stance; with her ears flattened against her head. Usually she would've been friendly and curious, but it was dark and she couldn't see the wolf, then there was also the wound on her leg. Emerald eyes darted around, either the wolf was hiding from her, or their fur colour was a very dark colour. Unlike hers.

Her fur colour was very light, made up of whites, creams and light greys. She was very easily seen during the night, which made hiding very hard. Looking around, she spotted no movement, but could still smell the wolf. Taking in a deep breath, she spoke in a hesitant voice, with her usual stutter. "Who-who's there? Show y-yourself!"

Although it was late and his day had been rather full of walking and climbing, Chulyin found his eyelids as light as feathers. There would be no easy sleep until he reached the peak. He was fueled by determination and adrenaline. The old man must've had some wisdom in his words, the dark knight was certain. Their meeting had been fate, and somewhere, whether on the west side of this mountain or east, his sister was waiting, whether she knew it or not. His throat tickled again, longing to release his call. She would hear it, she would, but his urges were silenced as another seemed to have a bit less self-control than he. Chulyin was on all fours before he'd even registered what he'd heard. It had been loud, a cry of pain and very close. He'd been facing the drop, and so had to quickly turn about. And the source of the cry was obvious enough. Stark white fur stood out against the dark backdrop, night sky, gray stone. The woman must've been brave.

His nose twitched, deep breaths inhaled as he pulled in her scent. They'd seen each other now, and were certainly within sniffing range. Out of the strong pack scents he'd caught so far, her scent contained none of them. As her defenses were raised, his went up as well, unsure of what would come of this. She was injured, that was obvious enough. It had taken a bit of effort to pick up her scent in the thick smell of blood. Coppery, awful...<b style="color:#a51919">"I'm here," He answered, if she hadn't already seen him. <b style="color:#a51919">"Are you hurt, miss?" There was an inkling of concern in his voice, though nothing to be affected by. It was simply in his nature to ensure the safety of others, even if he didn't know who they were, or...well, care about them. <b style="color:#a51919">

OMG I am so sorry Bry! ;_; I've just been extremely busy with second semester starting and the fact that I'm going to be moving houses.
@Chulyin

The white female had to hold back a growl when a male voice pierced the cold, night mountain air. Her emerald eyes looked around, but she still couldn't see him. They hadn't accustomed fully to the darkness, even though it had been a few hours, or maybe it was because he had very dark fur; pitch black like the darkness around her. But as she couldn't see him, he wouldn't be completely trusted, that had been something that she learned a long time ago when her whole family had died, all except for her brother. No wolf could be completely trusted until proven otherwise.

"Wh-where are y-you? I c-can't se-ee you." The white female's stutter was much worse than usual, most likely because she couldn't see the other wolf that was very close to her, in fact, on the rock outcropping just a few paces in front of her. Emerald eyes darted around in every direction, but she couldn't see anything. The fear that was pulsing through her made it hard to concentrate on what was going on. What would the wolf do? Gulping softly, she turned her large, creamy head to look straight ahead. Maybe she could ask the wolf to show itself?

Just as the white female opened her jaws to speak, the male spoke again. "Are you hurt, miss?" Concern could be heard clearly in his voice, yet she didn't relax completely. The wolf could be trying to trick her, but even so, she didn't feel as scared as before. It could be that the male was just concerned for her. She had of course yelped very loudly, so the whole mountain probably had heard her. Letting out a deep breath, she stared ahead, a weak smile on her face as she tried to hide her fear from the male somewhere around her. "Yes. A-as you most lik-likely heard before, I w-walked into a rock out-outcropping. It's not t-too bad."

Moving from his place on the outcropping, he moved back towards the mountain. The dark was certainly concealing him well if the ghostly woman could not see him, and there was no need for him to be hidden. His jaw tightened as his muscles complained at the motion. He felt as though he hadn't slept in ages and had only wanted a good night's sleep. The moon would be high for some time, though. There would still be time to rest his weary eyes. His moving into the moonlight was the answer to her plea for him to show himself. She'd sounded utterly terrified, as if she would have thought him some terrible mountain monster. He hadn't met many wolves who would automatically think the worst of others. But it was a sad truth that many led terrible lives that forced them to make terrible decisions.

He could see her smile and felt a small form of relief. At least she seemed less like a cornered doe. Her words continued to stutter forth, however, and Chulyin paused, about a yard from the woman now, his golden eyes glowing mirror white in the darkness. He kept a bit of space for her, hoping to coax her up to his own outcropping. He knew little of herbs, but with her paw injured in the dark of night on the mountain...He would have felt awful leaving her to her own devices. Should another predator find her, who knew what the outcome could be? But it likely wouldn't be in the woman's favor.

<b style="color:#a51919">"Come here," He said, his voice gruff. It was a command, yes, but not a harsh one. Perhaps the woman would understand. <b style="color:#a51919">"I have no intentions of causing you harm, miss. I only fear that a lesser predator may not show you the same kindness." He made his intentions clear, hoping that would lessen the ghost woman's fears. <b style="color:#a51919">

Extremely sorry for the long wait! Just got my internet back so I'll be on more often :)

Emerald eyes saw a movement in the darkness before a midnight black wolf appeared under the moonlight. He seemed to be her size, but his outline was hazy in the darkness of the night, so she couldn’t be sure. She knew that her stuttered voice had made her sound like she was terrified of the wolf, that was the case, but now that she could see him, her fear lessened, although not completely. The white female was still wary of him, he could just be pretending to be nice before striking out. But hopefully the male wouldn’t be like that.

She could see his golden eyes glowing in the darkness, much like her pelt which made her look like a ghost in the night. That was one of the downside’s to having an ashen white coat, although it made it much easier to hide during the winter where everything was white. The white female placed her leg gently on the ground and lifted up her head, she didn’t want to seem like she was cowering and afraid, even if she was on the inside.

Nothing was known about this wolf, other than the fact that he had moved into the moonlight to allow her to see him, somewhat. That must mean that he was good, right? Her leg was starting to sting in the cool night, but she could handle it. If only she had knowledge about herbs, like her mother, then she could have found something to lessen the pain and make sure that it didn’t get infected. Being hurt on a mountain wasn’t a good thing, as predators could easily overwhelm her.

When the dark male spoke in a gruff and commanding voice she jumped slightly. Flattening her ears slightly, she was about to speak when he spoke again, this time telling her that he only cared about her welfare. Nodding slightly, the white female walked forwards, being careful not to put weight on her leg and climbed precariously onto the rock outcropping, laying down a foot or so away from the darker coloured male.

“Thank you.” She said softly. Most wolves that she knew wouldn’t have cared about her, and would have chased her away to fend for herself. But this male was different. Even though they had only just met, he was nice enough to allow her space to lay next to him on the rock outcropping. Curling herself into a comfortable position, the white female let a smile grace her features. “I’m J-Jasmine Caravello. M-may I ask who yo-you are?”
