Meadow Catharus
The morning air was crisp, Meadow was worn out. She had never been very far from the lands she was born in - at least not before now, striking out on her own - and the many days of travel were taking their toll. She was tired from the endless walking, her feet throbbing delicately even now as she shuffled through the brittle grass. There was a pit of emptiness in her stomach in spite of the rodents she  had managed to catch along her journey, her tongue felt dry and sandpapery. As she crested a small hill she cast her gaze about before her, surveying the land that unfurled in rolling hills and prickly glades.

Something inside of the dappled female told her there was more to life than what she had known, and she hoped it would be found in the lands laid out before her. She hoped there was a drink of water to go with it, too.

Ruiko Tainn
ooc. OHAI!

It had been Damascus’ intriguing suggestion that brought the large tawny male back to the fields. He had awoken Kinis promptly earlier in the morning, pushing the sleepy boy to the grass outside where the morning drops of dew greeted him. Ruiko had prompted the whelp to lap up as much of the meagre drops as he could, and while he knew Kinis would never complain, the small droplets of water had done barely anything to truly help his thirst. As the tawny boy went back to the den to sleep and perhaps dream of streams of refreshing water, the alpha male had found himself drawn back to the fields once more, never straying too far from the pack lands.

He was not so proud as to bring himself to a fools level, and without looking about the fields before him to see if any were about, the golden Tainn bent his muzzle down, running his tongue along the blades of grass to grasp any form of liquid he could. It did not soothe the ache in his throat, and if anything, as he continued along only to stop and lap at a few areas of grass, Ruiko began to doubt his decision to stay within Relic Lore.
