Hexamora Beauvau
Welcome to Hexamora's discovery and humble abode, Phantom Hollow! The more the merrier.

Stillness. That was the only sound or to be proper the lack of sound that surrounded Hexamora as her snow colored paws strode lightly through the deep, lichen enriched forest, her gait casual while her hips swung from side to side with each step. A glance up at the consolidated canopy that hung above with eyes at odds with one another revealed no tell tale sign of what hour in the day it was, an ever looming sense of twilight intermingling with that of eeriness from the lack of sunlight that was capable of penetrating the branches above. It was almost creepy in a way and this was the type of place a woman as dark hearted as herself could grow comfortable enough in to almost call home. The forest seemed nearly undiscovered and if there wasn't scat of different animals occasionally along the imaginary trail the ivory woman followed she would have thought this place uninhabited. A suitable abode this would be yes, but there was so much land to scout still before an official decision to make a den here could be decided.

In her current position she found herself near the side of a once mighty sentry of the forest large enough to house a single wolf who now was fallen and rotted to the core much like herself. Gently lowering her pale crown to the floor a dull object cream in coloration toppled from her jaws to lay at her feet, the very structure of it unmistakably belonging to that of a wolf skull before returning her attention to the massive tree trunk in the middle of her pathway. A single press of her paw to its belly caused the decaying bark to crumble and wither into saw dust making it a weak and unsuitable place for the likes of her. The Beauvau woman deserved nothing but the best and preferably creepiest den location to call her own with hopes its unfathomably creepy exterior would deter any possible intruders. Though the fallen and decaying solider of the forest was a hopeful, it alas did not meet the pale coated woman's obscure standards. Thus with a quick swoop of her head the cream tinted object she carried with her returned to her jaws and her body was sent into motion to find the next hopeful spot within the expansive of trees. Surely there was somewhere within these wild, uncharted woods that would suit her desires.

Onward the pale woman trudged with skull in mouth, a shudder trailing down the length of her spine the deeper into the verdant mosses she found herself as the temperature began to steadily drop closer and closer to freezing while small clusters of snow littered tree stumps and left patches of the white powder at their bases on the forest floor. This puzzled the woman as her steps slowed briefly in order to crane her head skyward once more to peer at the flame painted canopy that held such finely knit branches impossible of holding the smallest crack in its weaving. Not even the thinnest beam of light could penetrate its defenses and left the world around her in a black abyss, yet the likes of snow managed to tumble through the autumn foliage and collect on the ground. What a peculiar place this verdant place was and all the more fitting for her to dwell within it. Darkness attracted darkness. Continuing onward in silence Hex allowed her gaze to settle on the trail she followed, careful to avoid a pile of fox scat that lay in the center of her path while keeping an open eye for a possible location to claim as her own. If she did manage to finally find a place all her own she could finally store the precious skull that traveled everywhere with her since coming into the Lore inside to be admired like the glorious treasure it was. Happily her paws would dig a special notch in the wall of dirt for it to rest, the beginning of a beautiful and creepy skull collection she planned to grow one by one from any fallen wolf that crosses her path like the one who now had his or her skull nestled between her teeth.

There. Just within her peripheral vision something attracted the soulless woman in white. Turning her head in its direction and narrowing her gaze she saw...fog? Now that was unexpected seeing as it only occupied this one section of forest. Curiosity running wild her body drifted from the worn trail towards the fog slowly as if it called to her, entrancing her body to investigate its being while muscles tensed as if something was hiding in the low laying cloud cover. Normally fog would disperse and recede from the intruder once its surface was disturbed, but as Hexamora's legs prodded the suspended collection of liquid water droplets nothing happened. There was no motion, nothing budging like a beast in repulse to allow her body passage as it should have and her slender frame found itself padding deeper into this mysterious fog as her pale body seemed to disappear all together creating the sense that she was now a phantom of the fog with only the glow of her eyes to reveal her whereabouts, becoming almost ethereal. The she-wolf glanced behind her and became all the more perplexed by the fog. Normally there was no shape to something as free-flowing as fog, but from where she entered its phantasmal grip lay a solid line where frozen ice crystals met forest in the form of a boarder. How creepy and how intriguing.

This place was otherworldly beyond a doubt and Hex could feel a sinister smirk grace the ebony lining of her lips despite the skull that was still tucked safely between her canines. How could she not enjoy a place like this? It sent a creepy vibe down her spine which in turn gave her the chills and not the ones from the weather. Lowering her head to the invisible ground below she placed the skull once more at her feet and placed a paw gently to its crown, absentmindedly caressing the bone structure of its once brow."I think we have found it." her voice rang darkly on the silent air, the first sound in what felt like eons to grace her ears other than the light tk tk tk tk tk tk of her claws scratching at the surface of the skull with each passing caress. Yes, this place would do nicely. With the fog to conceal her already pale figure she could hide effortlessly among its chilling embrace like a phantom in the hollow. "Phantom Hollow." She tested the name for this place, thrilled with the way it rolled off her tongue with such an eerie sensation. It was fitting for this place, this place that she would call home.

Oliver Carmond

Why was getting lost a common thing with him? It baffled Oliver to see that he had once again, traveled into territory he had not meant to enter. It was slightly familiar- he had passed through the Mosses on his journey northward, but he hardly knew the area to get back to where he needed to be. He had gotten here by following the mountain range, to simply gain more medicines that only grew in the darkest parts of the forest, and it was a huge mistake to stray from the cliffside. If this was a normal forest, with patches of sky between the canopy, the small man would have been able to see the mountain and go straight towards it, but no, he had to get lost in a forest with trees so tangled he doubted there was a sky, much less more than one tree.

What he wouldn't give for a packmate right about now- or perhaps, Andromache. Either would certainly help to calm he nerves at least a tad. Fortunately, the trip wasn't a complete waste- he had gotten the herbs he came for, flourishing underneath the shadows of the eerie roof of leaves. They were ablaze with color and passion, as per the season, but Oliver's paranoia didn't allow him to stop and appreciate it.

After wandering for a while, maw full of medicines, Oliver caught sight of another wolf. Snow white, matching the creepy fog swallowing her paws. Ears perked, he was about to approach her- to ask for help- when a noise distracted him. ...tk, tk, tk! His ears led his eyes down to a skull in her clutches.

Time to go. Galley warned.Wolves who toy with death are not to be played with.

Oliver couldn't agree more with his mentor. Swinging wildly in a sharp turn, he got ready to flee. However- krak!- in his haste, he had stepped on a twig.

Again!?

Hexamora was so preoccupied with her thoughts of this new place that she never noticed the strange male that had crept up on her and found himself now attempting to avoid her all together, giving her a wide birth trying to make a quick get away. That was until in his haste to flee he made the fatal error of stepping on a twig that made a loud cracking sound, snapping the pale coated woman out of her mind and back to reality. As soon as the sound of an intruder reached her ears her head whipped around with her body following suit, guard hairs on high alert while her front paw tucked the wolf skull protectively beneath her weight. Someone had found her new hide out. How dare this stranger invade her personal paradise and alone time.

Now that her body faced this stranger the scent belonging to them wafted towards her nose as it gave a disgusted twitch, bi-colored gaze scouring the dark tinted pelt before her. A quick whiff revealed the basic information of the wolf. Male, pack loyalties rich in scents that did not belong to this area mingling with his unique scent and he couldn't be more than four years old much like herself. Nothing about him seemed dangerous per say, but even the most safe looking wolves could pose a threat to someone thus she never let her guard down around anyone."Who are you and state your business in these parts." her words came out cooly, gaze now settling on his own. This place seemed far from the definition of a must see travelers destination. Hardly any scent of wolves could be traced in the mosses aside from one that even now was very weak and took a keen nose trained for tracking to detect.

Shit She had noticed him. The twig had broken this wolf out of whatever reverie she had, and now she was upon him. Though she was about his age, the manner in which she spoke to him all too well reminded Oliver of another she-wolf met in a similar setting- casting a rather dark omen on this encounter.

Galley snorted. You just have a thing for strange women in the woods, don't you, Ollie? The sarcastic tone did nothing to peel Oliver's ears from off his skull.

Shut up! He did not need the distraction right now. Confidence, confidence. Exude confidence. You're part of a pack, represent them well. Confidence. The self pep talk was a little ridiculous, but it put a calm smile on his snout by the time he turned around to face the woman- even if it was utterly fake. Setting down his herbs, the small man complied with her questions.

"Sorry to disturb you, miss," He started off strong, but polite. He wouldn't be completely pushed around this time."My name is Oliver. I came to these woods to search for medicinal plants, but I've seem to have gotten lost. I was going to ask you for directions, but you looked busy. I don't suppose you know how to get back to the mountain side? I can't tell which way it is."

Please don't try to kill me, please don't try to kill me, Please don't....

Above the mantra swirling in his head, Galley snorted once again.

Jeeze, what did I raise? A wolf or a rabbit?

Sorry if its kinda blah. Hex is one moody wolf.

So now she had a name to place whenever she saw his face, though she would have been more pleased if she never came across his face again. Company was not something this woman took a liking to, especially from pack dwellers. A snort was the first sign of a response to Oliver's whining about being lost in the big dark woods, disinterested with the reasoning for his presence the moment he mentioned he was in search of herbs. Hex knew diddly squat about herbs and had no intentions of changing that anytime soon. 'Aw, poor pup is too far from home.' She mentally taunted the obviously non-pup male while a small smirk began to make its way across the length of her muzzle.

But as soon as the smirk appeared on her face it was gone, the light swaying of her tail causing the fog around her ankles to spread and swirl upwards to engulf her body more. "I won't lie and say i'm pleased to meet you Oliver. You interrupted my alone time and have bombarded into my home." Pausing her words momentarily she let them sink into his mind before continuing to answer his question. "Phantom Hollow is clearly not a mountain side, but if you turn right back around and keep walking i'm sure you'll find your precious mountain side." Her words explained vaguely of the direction he was to take, but it was the truth. This place had come to be her home and in her search for a proper den site the verdant mosses had began to reveal its little secrets to her like which ways led to exists and which led to dead ends. Lucky for him she was keen on seeing him out of her home and had offered a route to an exit instead of the alternative.

Oliver made a short bob of his head in order that he might acknowledge her answer. Turn around- why didn't he think of that? Probably panic, or paranoia. Perhaps it was just fate that lead him to be confronted by strange women in the forest. At the very least, this one wasn't trying to kill him. Phantom Hollow, hm? Oliver didn't know if this she-wolf wanted it to be known that this was her home, but this was definitely something he would tell Triell. No reason to disgruntle both parties with constant accidental trespasses.

"I'm sorry to have intruded upon your home, miss. And thank you for the directions. I you would like, I can tell my pack mates that this land is yours?" He was going to tell them anyway, but it would be best to check for her approval first. Sometimes- as he had learned first-hand over the years- a loner had to stay secretive about where they slept. Any harsh feelings aside, Oliver made ready to leave, grabbing his herbs once again in his mouth.

....I bet she's just waiting for your back to be turned. Galley's prediction stiffened his tail a bit.

Would you just stay quiet!?

She plays with death and his leavings. There is no reason to trust her at all.

Well....well....there's not reason for not trusting her either...she could be eccentric. Or maybe it's the skull of a dead relative she loved.....

Just admit that I'm right.

.....you're right....

With a cheerful grin, Oliver began to walk backwards. It was hard, walking backwards, but at least he could keep an eye on the strange woman and her strange fascination with that skull.

Gonna have her assume he is from the same pack as Kova for some dramatic flair.

Tell his pack mates? No, no, no. She couldn't have this man exploiting her whereabouts to others, let alone a pack. Especially if he belonged to the same pack Kova did. Surely that little brat or his dimwitted body guards had spilled the beans about her from their encounter at the bison feast. This would not do, not not at all! Sinking into the depths of her mind thought after thought on how to keep him from revealing her whereabouts to this pack of his. It was key that she not be discovered and was exactly why she had taken a liking to this place. It seemed all but abandoned and would perfectly suit her desire to live a recluse lifestyle while slowly building her collection of skulls. Oh what pretty wall decor they will make. So pretty and silent as their empty eye sockets took in the grace that was herself every waking moment of their eternal death slumber.

Then an idea struck her causing a devilish smirk to toy with the corner of her lips that she hid from his view before completely changing her posture. Switching her ears to lay flat back against her skull her body began to slightly sink towards the floating layer of fog that now devoured the lower portion of her frame. "Please don't reveal this place. All I want is privacy and if your pack knows of this place I won't get it." Mock fear laced her tone as each lying word fell from her lips. In reality if another wolf dared step paw within her home she would be quick to detach it from the joint before they saw it coming. All under the cover of the thick fog, of course even though gloating over the prized paw was always a tempting idea. Hexamora sure did love to gloat when she had a chance. Almost as much as she enjoyed the taste of blood in her mouth.

"Of course. I won't tell a soul." The words were slightly muffled due to his teeth being full of plants, but they were clear enough.

When since did you get so good at lying? A crafty grin was audible as Galley commended him on his falsehood.

When I learned that wolves love to hear what they want. If she wants privacy, fine. It's my duty to tell Triell anyway. If it did end up that one of his pack mates did stumble upon this place, Oliver hoped he would be far behind territory lines. Something about this wolf put him off. As if she was like her, only more intense- more chaotic, with out direction.

"May I have a name to call you by, should we meet again?" So I can stay far, far away, and possibly spread your reputation if you should hurt me. The small man kept he face cheerful, body relaxed, even as he stepped slowly backwards. There was no point in showing this woman that he was afraid- or that that he planned on doing the exact opposite of what he said. If he was alone he should exude confidence- besides, she was about his size, if not just a tad bigger.

Eventually his slow walk ran him right up against a tree, face still cheerful, watchful eyes on his new acquaintance. This situation was under control, and there was no reason to show fear.

You have to turn around to go past the tree, idiot.

Things just couldn't go his way, could they?

He was lying and Hexamora could read right between the lines of his sweet, muffled words as his frame slowly backed up inch by inch from her. 'I should swat those herbs out of his mouth and crush them for lying to me.' she mentally rampaged while unbeknownst her paws began to take one step at a time towards her target. It wasn't until she realized she was moving did she force her mindless legs to stand still just as his rump backed into the trunk of a near by tree. No, she couldn't afford to make enemies here just yet and not while the two were chatting at her front door. It would be a foolish move and surely bring on a maim on sight order from his pack's leader to any wolf who crossed her path. And since this wolf now knew where she planned to settle there would be visitors everywhere scouring the mosses for her ivory hide to skin. No, no, no. She couldn't risk a pretty little hair on her pelt being tweaked out of place.

"May I have a name to call you by, should we meet again?" The dark coated man then spoke, his words followed by a cheerful look upon his countenance. God how she just wanted to claw that smile right off his ugly little mug, but again she was trying to avoid enemies for the time being. That wasn't to say in the future she hadn't planned to cause some good ol' havoc within this place. It was all about timing, but first she had to answer his question. At first as her jaws parted to reveal her identity she was going to give her real name when a memory flashed across the forefront of her mind of Kova and how she fooled the pup with naming herself Primrose, her fake alias. It must have been luck that the memory was recalled at that precise moment and the ivory woman now withheld the vital information that would give the pack an upper hand against her should they cross paths again. No, she would not tell him her true name was Hexamora. "Primrose." she offered instead, a coy smirk on the verge of peeling the corner of her lips back, but instead she replaced it with a fake smile that one could easily take for being sincere.

Primrose. she had said with a smile. Somehow, Oliver got the distinct feeling that wasn't her name, but here wasn't the time or place to pursue that further. Some other day, when he was surrounded by comrades. The steps she took towards him were unnerving.

"Then farewell, Primrose. Until we meet again. Perhaps we might see each other soon, hm?"

A paw lifted to Galley's face. You're doing this all wrong, Ollie. Just turn around and get the hell out of here. Soon enough she's going to stake it out as her own, and you don't want to come back after that. Just leave.

Okay, okay! You don't have to tell me twice! With shaky steps, disguised by a flourished little wave goodbye, Oliver turned around and made way towards the mountain at a sharp trot. He didn't want Primrose to think he was afraid- but he didn't want to give her and easy target either. In fact, this whole trip was a bad idea- why he didn't just stay out of the southern forest entirely was beyond himself. There was plenty enough space for his content in the Spectral Woods. There were just two too many rather unnerving encounters in these parts- the way Primrose had been stroking that skull gave him shivers.

We need to toughen you up.....you can't stay in one place forever, you know.

Oh yeah? Just watch me- I'll be the most stationary wolf on this planet! ....Besides, I swore I wouldn't leave.

Ever clingy, aren't you?
