deceit. - Beelzebub - May 05, 2013 [dohtml] It was a droll, this humor that likely he would be the only one to chuckle at as he padded along the territory border in a prancing bound which light, elegant footing had offered him in this rather neutral build. He had but to pace, but to inspect and wait for the opportune moment... RE: deceit. - Jessie - May 05, 2013 [dohtml] It had been a peaceful day so far, nothing and no one had bothered her and she had been going through the territory, searching for anything that would be edible for their alpha. The change in the air was one that Jessie was quite use to. Now that Corinna was expecting, the gray woman was going to do everything in her power to make sure that the River lady was properly fed. Even if this meant she was going to be the alpha’s punching bag until she delivered. Her hunting had been quite successful throughout the day, though she had lost a few rabbits and almost missed a bird. She had expected the rest of her day to be uneventful and perhaps even relaxing after she did a walk by of the borders. This was, until she saw a blur of an unfamiliar figure.
Seeing as if she did not know who this was and she could not get a scent on him, she let out a furious bark, her salt-and-pepper colored paws blurring against the ground as she ran in pursuit of the trespasser. She pushed her legs as much as she can and attempted catching up. Growling angrily to herself, she veered off track, briefly, to try and cut the loner up ahead of time. What other reason would a loner try into pack territory but for their caches? Other than just to piss them off, which would have been a complete waste of their time. Baring her fangs she ran for their caches, having the advantage knowing the exact spot in which the River wolves kept their storage. Pleased that she had gotten there, she waited, her body tense and stance ready, just in case her prediction happened to be right.
RE: deceit. - Beelzebub - May 05, 2013 [dohtml] He had been found. Quickly, surprisingly, despite the fact that he had done everything in his power as this mortal wolf to try to avoid an encounter this falling day. Perhaps it had been just ill fate or the fact that this pack was well off, filled with many members who were very dedicated and very active in the work for their pack. Though this would not discourage the demon - not yet. They were work hardy for their pack and he was work hardy for a meal and in the aftermath of it, serving his master in what little way he could by bringing some disruption to the part of this world which he had been thrown within. RE: deceit. - Jessie - May 05, 2013 When i wrote this, I thought of a scene in the movie The Incredibles [dohtml] It did not take long before the man had arrived, indeed not a part of the Swift River family. Her lips pulled back and eyes blazed in fury at the stupidity of this wolf. Of all places he could have gone for food, he chose a place that had wolves within the territory. Disgusted with this wolf, she slightly froze when he spoke to her, remembering how the River family had gone out to fight war against the diseased. She had no experience of the scent and hoped to the Heavens that this wolf was not one of the infected. The signs that had been mentioned were of no means obvious on this wolf. Glaring at the man in front of her, she let a growl pass by her lips, her words quick a demanding, "I suggest that you leave now or I will engage."
Lowering her tail in a defensive position to protect her belly and lowering her head slightly, she watched the movements of the male, ready to fight with him if it became necessary. To be honest, she should have jumped on him right then, but she found it easier if she protected her food first, just in case he managed to be slightly faster than her, which would prove to be interesting considering she was a pack wolf and much smaller than he was. All she wanted was to be able to keep the male from getting the food that Corinna would need in the passing weeks. The change of her scent in the air was familiar enough now and Jess knew that she would need all the meat she could get. A loner trying to steal away their catches was not something the pack wanted or needed. It was about time for this male to leave.
RE: deceit. - Beelzebub - May 05, 2013 Lol! My last one reminded me of Thor: "This body needs sustenance". Also a quick note, though she is listed as 'small' in catigory, as far as pounds goes, she is well over 20 lbs larger then he. I guess its her specific breed. [dohtml] It didn't work. RE: deceit. - Ice - May 08, 2013 [dohtml]
up to you if you wanna get rolls or just play it out.. xD basically he's just on a rampage. :P RE: deceit. - Jessie - May 11, 2013 [dohtml] It was as if she could feel her pulse in her head, thundering hard against her as she stared at the loner in front of her. To her demands, she was met with silence and a noncompliant man in front of her. Sharpening her own gaze and shooting a hate filled glare in his direction, she pulled her lips back more, revealing more of her formally hidden canines. She waited for him, knowing that it would do her no good to go towards him, not knowing of his capabilities. Only when he struck towards her did she also leap, his tactics throwing her off when he changed direction. Trying to turn and grunting heavily in the process, a sharp growl arose from within her. He was too damn fast for her! Searching for the bastard that had slipped past her, a white blur in her peripheral vision set part of her mind at ease. Ice would help her with this man that had slipped past their borders. No one could test her friend’s big white ass.
Hoping to get in her own distraction so Ice could successfully get to the loner, she jumped forward, her paws skimming across the ground and hoping that while the loner would be getting his pick of food, that he would slow down slightly in their pursuit. Pushing her legs, she desperately tried to gain on him, only wanting to wrap her jaws somewhere around him; perhaps his leg would be enough for her. It would certainly slow him down if she could catch up to him. And if she would end up catching up to him, the gray female would lunge towards his hind leg, her jaws open and ready to try and cause some serious damage.
RE: deceit. - Beelzebub - May 28, 2013 [dohtml] He was quick yes, but she was not by far behind him. Though he had successfully feinted in order to maneuver past her and on to the caches, bee-lining in that direction, he was soon to learn that back up had arrived in the woman's favor, lest she had lost out and disappointed her pack mates. Ice's barreling attack had been waited and planned and had it not, success would have been less likely for the beefy wolf. His intention of cutting Beelzebub off on his path to success was met with a yip and a jump out to the left, flying up in the air in much a manner of a scared cat. He dodges but not without loosing his footing and tripping, tumbling until he is able to lift once more off the ground with all fours. By now jaws descend upon him, one snap from Ice snagging at his right flank and the other at the back of his left ankle. Each hit, each torn at fur and skin and caused him to bleed in mortal manner he did not particularly enjoy, but laughed at in relevance to this pain being far less then the terrors he had endured in life times. RE: deceit. - Ice - May 30, 2013 [dohtml]
Vami, lemme know if you want to be skipped next round and disappearing or post again after Jessie. :3 RE: deceit. - Jessie - Jun 05, 2013 Hope this is alright. PM me if I need to change anything [dohtml] So much happened in such a short time; the young Swiftpaw had trouble keeping up with all of it. She knew that the loner had not been too successful thanks to Ice coming in to save the day. The white snowball had probably saved the pack from getting their prey stolen and Jessie from being completely embarrassed. Snarling from the loner caused her to stare in confusion. Did this man honestly think they would let him into their territory for prey? The prey that they had all worked their butts off for every day that they hunted…Jessie would not let it be stolen and neither would Ice. If the loner wanted something to eat, he would have to find something for himself…outside of Swift River territory.
After his short accusation, he took off but Ice and Jessie would follow in pursuit. The man was fast…maybe even faster than her, and definitely faster than Ice, but none the less, Jessie was faster than Ice and was right on the nameless man’s trail. She snarled furiously at the loner as the two River wolves chased after him. Eventually, the loner would be chased out and when that happened, it took Jessie awhile to slow down, her breath coming in gasps as she finally slowed her momentum down enough so that she came to a stop. Taking deep breaths, she then turned looping back towards Ice, hoping that her snowball would have enough sense to let the fool go. He would be a waste of their time and he was gone now. The pair had better things to do than chase after a male who had not taken anything from them and had already been chased out of their territory. To ensure this, Jessie first had to find the large man though, so she called out in a strong voice, "Ice!!!"
