RE: Sink or Swim - Niq'x - Apr 05, 2016 [dohtml] As expected, her brother was exploded with the news of Pip. He had always been overprotective when it came to their little sister, especially she was unable to express herself verbally. A frown creased her lips as he spoke, his threatening words cutting through the thick air that hung over the sea wolves. Niq’x wanted to play search and rescue as well, but if Pip had found a pack to join obviously she was comfortable with these wolves and it would take a little convincing to get her to leave. What if she did not want to leave? The thought sat in her stomach like a heavy rock, leaving a bitter taste in her mouth. The idea of Pp staying her and the rest of them leaving did not sit well with the sea princess. They would either stay together or leave together; they would join Pip or she would search for the coast with them. Family did not get left behind. Her age-mate spoke up once more, announcing that he had met a pack wolf that carried their sister’s scent. Immediately her ears perked up, mismatched gaze focused on the hunter. Her lips curled into a frown as his voice trailed off, the rest of his words dangling off the tip of his tongue. She snorted, irritated by the boy’s cliffhanger; Pip was their sister, not his — they deserved to know what was going on with her. Nauja was quick to the call the boy out, asking for more information. She remained quiet this round as she waited for a response from Tyne after Blitz urged the boy to continue. They needed to figure out a game plan — and quickly. The longer Pip stayed among the pack wolves the more comfortable she would grow, and it would become difficult to persuade her to leave in the future. RE: Sink or Swim - Tyne - Apr 13, 2016 [dohtml] OCC Comments: Sorry y'all for such a late reply...Ive been dealing with stuff at work the last few weeks Her words hit his rusty ears harshly. Flattening them to his head golden eyes find their way to his large feet. He didn’t think he had been coy or left information out, but apparently that’s not how his pack mates saw it. Blitz’s sudden movement startled the sleepy boy. He instantly became alert eyes and ears snapping up. Blitz had always been protective of his sisters so his words didn’t shock the Kersey male much. Tyne was grateful for Niq’x staying silent for if all three had snapped at him he wouldn’t know what to do. “The pack wolf I met went by the name of Crystal. She was from a pack to the north, through the cedars. She carried Pip’s scent ever so faintly. When I questioned her, she was very guarded but eventually admitted to offering Pip a place among her ranks. I don’t believe that this Crystal was the alpha but she had to have been close with Pip to carry her scent”. As he was speaking his eyes darted between the two dark and sparrow colored forms of his pack mates. He felt slight shame for some reason he tried to keep his eyes down. It was way too early for Tyne to want to get yelled at. RE: Sink or Swim - Nauja - Apr 22, 2016 @Blitz you're next! lol this thread could very easily end with a good tie in to "lost my head"
Her cousins reacted with much more ferocity to the playfully dangled information on Pip's location and health. Blitz, of course, was the picture of dominance, bristling like some dark sea urchin, and no doubt his tone was just as poisonous. He did, at least, get a grip on himself, which was all well and good since Nauja and Niq'x, and even poor Tyne were innocent of harboring and potentially harming little Pip. Nauja thought about making some joke, in this moment, but figured it would only sour the mood further and go unappreciated. Niq'x, on the other hand, was more subdued than her brother but no less frustrated: she contained all her angst into a single snort.Meanwhile Tyne was acting sorry for himself. Nauja forced her eyes to remain put instead of rolling around in their sockets. What sort of reaction did he expect to get, starting a story and then stopping without giving any real information? If Niq'x had known about the pack she would have said as much, and certainly Nauja would had already lost her turn to throw in her utter lack of information when Tyne had already spoken up. Tyne needed to realize that avoiding stepping on anyone's tail by waiting for confirmation to continue was not a priority: getting Pip was the priority. It took her only a moment to flip the story around in her head and derive an interpretation. The words were already out of her mouth, "Seems weird that this "Crystal" would be trying to cover up the fact that they had Pip. Seems awfully fishy to me, actually. I don't like it." She looked to Blitz, fairly certain that whatever restraints he had placed on his anger would burst with this new information. She tensed. Ready to run after him if he should decide that now was a good time for pursuing this lead. RE: Sink or Swim - Blitz - Apr 25, 2016 [dohtml] His brilliant green eyes latched onto Tyne. He was the focus now, as he should be. His cousin had the most information to provide, and he would absorb whatever he could take. Instead of yet another outburst, like his pack mates were expecting, Blitz remained perfectly calm. A little too calm. After closing his eyes for a brief moment, he opened them with a sigh. "Well, at least Pip wasn't taken in against her will. Or so it would seem." He added with a suspicious narrowing of his eyes. "This wolf...Crystal. We should track her down as well. If Pip saw enough in her to be persuaded into joining her pack, I say it is worth investigating." Nauja was not the only one uncomfortable with the situation. They needed to pay this pack a visit, and see if they truly were good enough for his sister, or just a bunch of savages. [/dohtml] RE: Sink or Swim - Niq'x - Apr 29, 2016 [dohtml] More than anything the tawny yearling wanted to find her missing sister. The Bella Coola wolves needed to be reunited once more so they could figure out why the hell they were here, and how they were going to get home. Niq’x was quickly growing bored of this place and longed for the feeling of sand between her toes. She wriggled her toes in the water at the thought as she listened to cousin comment on Tyne’s information about this Crystal wolf. Immediately her lips curled in agreement, her forehead creased in obvious irritation. “I don’t like it either,” she commented, nodding at her dark cousin before redirecting her attention to her hot-headed brother. Just as expected, her brother was also not pleased with this information. Niq like the idea of tracking down this Crystal their packmate had encountered — why had she been so guarded about sharing information on Pip? Were they reluctant to give up the little Mizuno, or were they holding her against her will? Her frown only deepened at the thought as she watched her brother rise from his spot, fire blazing behind his calm stare. “Let’s go,” she answered sternly, her canines grinding against each other as she stepped out of the water. “We will be the ones to determine that Pip is safe with them.” With nothing more but a grunt from the slender female she stepped up to her brother, his bulky frame towering over her lanky figure. She motioned forward to say lets get a move on before taking a step forward. Whether Tyne and Nauja would join was up to them. Niq’x wanted the Bella pack back together again — it did not feel right being separated. RE: Sink or Swim - Tyne - May 04, 2016 [dohtml] It was clear that his packmates were unhappy about the whole situation. The tawny hunter wasn’t surprised either but when Blitz remained calm the boy was taken aback. Blitz usually was the hot head and had bursts of emotions while Niq’x was the level headed one who could cool the dark male down. The siblings made it clear that they were going to go find the borders of this pack so that they could find Pip. “Yes it’s to the north” he responded to Blitz’s question with a motion of his muzzle towards the cedar trees. Quietly groaning to himself, the boy lifted his haunches from the frozen ground. “Alright I’m in” he stated with a shake of his pelt. Tyne looked at Nauja for a moment before he turned to follow Blitz and Niq’x. He knew the importance of finding Pip so that they could all be reunited and try to figure out how to make it back home. He desperately wanted to get back to the coast. To feel the sand beneath his paw pads, to feel the salty air flow through his fur, and to feel the warm loving hugs of his parents again. Let’s go get our Pip he thought to himself as they left the lagoon shore. “Speech” Thought |
