RE: I accept any challenge - Tyne - Sep 04, 2018

Oh ya that was fine :) awesome actually!

Tyne held on with everything he had, and finally his efforts paid off. The doe came toppling down, unbeknownst to him, because Garmir had grabbed its hind leg to throw it off balance. As soon as he was able to touch the ground the sea wolf used the deer's momentum to his advantage. Pushing off the ground he repositioned himself on top of the struggling animal. He snarled as he let go of the doe's neck to get a better hold on its windpipe. Finding his mark Tyne dug his teeth into the prey's neck ending its life. Adrenaline coursed fast through his veins as he held on longer for good measure.

The moment Garmir saw their prey was as good as dead, he made his move. He suddenly lunged at Tyne to roughly shove him off the kill to claim it for himself, snapping and snarling while doing so. He wasn't so much attacking tyne to harm him, as he obviously did not seek to injure the larger male. "Back off the kill!"

Garmir was merely testing his pack mate, to see how he would react to sudden aggression and did he have guts to respond to Garmir whom was supposedly higher rank of the two - even if the earthen male did not count ranks himself. They both had plenty of adrenaline in their blood, so there was room for violence should Tyne take Garmir's act wrongly.

Had he been younger the sudden attack would have surely backed off and let the higher raking male to take over. He wasnt younger though and the two had agreed to keep ranks out of this little competition. The sudden aggression directed towards him caught the sea wolf off guard allowing him to be slightly knocked off the kill. Garmir's snarls were quickly accompanied by Tyne's as the larger male pushed back. Moving back to his original position his charcoal banner rose over his dark agouti back. "Make me" Tyne snarled back in a clear challenge. He was not going to back off the kill he had just made. Sure Garmir helped but in that moment it was his kill not the ghost's.

Tyne's reaction to Garmir's provocation had been just as firm as he had hoped for if not more. The earthen male was convinced Tyne would fight for the kill, but in truth none of this was about the meat or whom would have the honor of dragging it back home. Garmir was only measuring the other man's guts to determine how reliable battle brother he would be if things ever went south.

Garmir, whom typically did not use his tail to signal anything now put it on display, rising it sky high while his fur bristled and weaponry was bared at the other male. Snarls were met with snarls and growls were met with growls. All this was but a show, but he was putting effort into making it authentic for the other.

Garmir lunged forward to snap at the other, knowing he was escalating this dangerously if other male lost his temper and forgot they were pack mates on a hunt together. Even if Garmir's fangs were to meet any skin, his bites would not carry full potential of what he could bring to bear - unless Tyne chose to turn this into a real fight.

I am seriously the worst Im so sorry! ]DX

Golden orbs glared from behind creamy lids. They saw the wave of Garmir's banner raise above his back and it made the sea wolf's blood boil. So much for rank not being a factor. Tyne's own charcoal dusted banner flicked upwards. He knew though deep down that they were packmates and bloodshed wouldn't be good for either of them.

The earthen male lunged and snapped in attempt to move his agouti partner. With a fierce snarl Tyne whipped around snapping back. He didnt even acknowledge the fact that Garmir made purchase with his shoulder. He was hell bent on staying over this kill, it was his.

It was easy to get carried away with this kind of play, the wolf's instincts telling him to tear into his opponent, while reason tried to hold him back. Garmir was playing dangerous game with how he tried Tyne's temperament but he got what he wanted. Tyne raised his tail to him despite his supposedly lower rank. There was a brief clash with Garmir trying to topple Tyne over, snarls and jaws going back and forth, Garmir even landing a bite - even if not aimed to injure. He could not steal the kill from his packmate however - not unless he actually chose to fight over it and thus as soon as there came a moment where they could put distance between one another, Garmir ceased his offence.

He still stood uncomfortably close, hackles up, his full weaponry on display and body tense as if poised to attack again, this time with real consequences. His tail stood high, bristling and showing his willingness to fight. Everything about Garmir suggested there would be a bloodshed as the moment prolonged, the atmosphere crew unbearably tense. His eyes were glaring straight into his opponent's eyes and behind those eyes was only hint of his true intent. He was just playing around. He loved tension. Just as it seemed he would attack again, that deadly snarl turned first into a slightest of grin, then into broad smile with Garmir snorting out as if letting out excess energy he had been charging all this time. "Got your tail up" -A playful growl finally broke the otherwise wordless exchange between them.

Life had hardened the once joyful and easy going man. Many things had contributed to his shift in personality, but the most significant would have to be being taken from Bella Coola. He would not be who he was now had he remained home. One could say it was all bad but the Kersey man - now at least - wouldn't change it for the world. He had fallen for someone he never thought he would and now had a son. He has seen a bit of the world, and now he had learned to not back down. Never really being one to be confrontational, Tyne was partially proud of his stance. He wasnt one to be walked all over.

The two males went at it, never taking it too far knowing they were packmates. The large sea wolf wouldn't be the first to pass that threshold, but would certainly cross it if needed. The deafening snarls quieted as Garmir moved away only slightly. Golden eyes locked onto green counterparts as both males held their threatening postures. Tyne's posture held a bit more of a defensive stance his head just a tad lower to protect his throat. Creamy limbs braced for impact as Garmir moved as if he was going to attack once again. None came and a grin formed on the others maw reminded the sea wolf that this wasnt serious. (Didnt mean he'd back down though.) It was his turn to have a smile form on his inky lips, "No rank out here humm?" He playfully growled back his tail waving twice over his back.

OOC: You can end with your next post I suppose, unless you want to continue more. >:D

Tyne had done enough to impress Garmir and he saw no further need to test his packmate. Now that they both managed to put up enough of a smile to defuse the situation, Garmir too waved his tail behind him, holding his stare for another moment while replying to his statement; "That's what I said." And Garmir had meant it.

He turned away slightly, allowing his posture to relax, even though he still held his gaze on his hunting partner. He then looked down at the kill underneath the large seawolf. "Shall we take this back home?" -he asked, raising his brow in question. If Tyne wanted to tussle more, he'd be all too happy to, but suppose the worst steam was already out.

I am so sorry bout going MIA DX Ill archive this and we can have an updated one if youd like :)

The ghost confirmed what had been agreed upon earlier as he relaxed a bit. This allowed the sea wolf to also relax a bit as he stood up straighter. Golden orbs watched his partner look at the kill beneath him before asking if they should take their prize home. Giving his agouti pelt a good shake before stepping off it Tyne gave a nod in response. "Yes we shall. I grab one leg you grab the other?" the Kersey man suggested. Once a plan was made the Draw duo dragged their prize back home.
