Ferreiran's exit
The dark male whirled around to give a decisive blow to the coyote's shoulder. As he did this, the other coyote tore into his flank, though he barely noticed. It hesitated for a second, which was just enough time for Ferreiran to leap out of the fray. His paws hit the dirt fast, pushing him forward. Blood pumped in his ears. Wind rushed past his face. His lungs burned. He was running for his life. He saw Vaken out of the corner of his eye, fleeing as well. He didn't seem to have as many coyote injuries, and Ferreiran was grateful. He was a good-hearted wolf at his core, despite acting cold and silent most of the time, and he genuinely loved the patchy wolf. It was an unlikely friendship, but it had happened.
