RE: naive orleans - Hagar - Sep 21, 2022 The children's curiosity and prickling instincts were clear as they investigated their latest gift. Squabbling began, fueled mostly by fiery little Eve's possessiveness, but it was all good-natured. They had so much still to learn about the world and themselves, and finding their place amongst each other was a fundamental building block in that journey. Avella joined them, and Hagar smiled at her words. He certainly thought so, but of course their daughter did not. Beryl gaze continued to regard them each fondly. "If it can't be shared, it'll just have to be divided up, won't it?" he mused back to his alpha, curious to see which Nineve would prefer or if she would continue to insist on a third option - 'all mine!' RE: naive orleans - Daegal - Oct 03, 2022 [dohtml] Daegal was pleased to find his pounce rang true and his sister flopped down into the dirt. She whined loudly in protest, even more when their brother picked up their gift. Daegal stood over her, pinning her to the ground the best he could and, playfully growling, tugged on her scruff. He wanted her to wrestle back! Maybe he could tackle Izzy; he was fun to play with when he was of a mind. With this prize for winning, there was good motivation! As he was considering these options, Hagar suggested dividing it up. Daegal's nose wrinkled and he released his sister, dashing forward to instead fasten his teeth in the weird white thing and tug on it. "No!" he barked, though his voice was muffled by the fur gripped between his teeth. He glanced to Izzy, pleading with his eyes for his brother to assist him in wresting this prize from their father. RE: naive orleans - Iseldir - Oct 05, 2022 For a moment the prize was his, though Nineve could be heard heartily protesting that. Then, their father suggested dividing the toy up between them. What a terrible idea! Daegal spoke out in protest now, words Izzy found echoed true for him too. It was the perfect toy, too wonderful to divide up or eat just yet, in his opinion. Sharing was all well and good, but play-fighting over it was much more fun! It was too perfect a prize in his young eye. "Naar!" He joined in the chorus without letting go. He met Daegal's eyes with sparkling green intent. A playful growl came from his clenched jaws as he leaned back, small paws digging into the earth. The pup gave his best at the tug-of-war, but if it came to it he would release his hold before the squirrel's flesh or pelt were torn. RE: naive orleans - Avella - Dec 01, 2022 The suggestion she'd made of sharing the white squirrel hadn't gone over very well. Nineve made it very clear to all of them that she wasn't very happy about it. In fact she was completely against it. The problem was her sons were in a disagreement as well. Things were starting to get out of paw as Daegal pounced on his sister and she toppled into the dirt. Before long a full fledged wrestling match between the two. Thankfully Iseldir wasn't involved. His curiosity about the creature keeping his attention. Mismatched gaze went to Hagar as he spoke. "I think dividing it up might be the only option. They can't seem to agree at all about what to do. It's really the only compromise that I see," she said giving both Daegal amd Nineve a look that said they either needed to share or deal with the decision that is made for them. "Your brother and sister," she told them, "There isn't any reason why you shouldn't be able to get along and share." She supposed that perhaps she couldn't understand why they would fight since she'd never had situations like this with her own brother. RE: naive orleans - Nineve - Dec 05, 2022
The fact that her parents could even THINK that this was her fault was something she could not possibly comprehend in her little mind. After all, it was Daegal which had went after her first- she was the one being mashed into the ground after all! And now while she couldn't get up, the other brother thought it fitting to take the prize for himself!
Eve's eyes looked up to her mother, full on pouting. They were ganging up on her! Finally, she was free as the two brothers decided to have a bit of tug-o-war with the albino creature. Eve was out matched and instead of being hurt about it, she chose to ignore it. Scrambling back onto her feet, she sat with a huff, silent and turning her head away from the squabble with disinterest. Whateverrrr. RE: naive orleans - Hagar - Dec 08, 2022 Avella voiced her agreement, all the permission he needed to step forward and close his teeth down upon the squirrel's back. His parents and siblings had taught him the importance of following through in moments such as this. Yet as the boys tried to wrest the toy back from him, he couldn't help but give in to the infectiousness of their enthusiastic play. A rare glint of mischief possessed his almond eyes and a low growl began to rumble in his throat. Hagar gave the carcass a shake to test their holds, and then the game began in earnest. Aiming to use their unwillingness to release against them, he began to back up with quick enough strides to give them a challenge without risking their losing just yet. He went in a quick circle and then round again, hoping the antics would be enough to get Nineve to join back in. If they weren't, he'd simply drag her siblings back over to her and urge, "finish 'em, Eve!" RE: naive orleans - Daegal - Dec 14, 2022 [dohtml] Daegal wasn't sure if his brother was actually helping him or not, but when dad started to pull the squirrel from them he doubled down, twisting so he was beside Izzy and pulling in tandem with him. They may be small, but together they could beat their dad, right? As they were tugged forward Daegal stepped just enough to avoid ripping the soft pelt as he struggled against the game of tug-of-war. To his great dismay, Eve didn't join them in winning back their prize - she just sat and huffed! Their dad called upon her to join his side, and the pale pup turned pleading eyes upon his sister - a look that would quickly turn to one of betrayal if she chose not to side with her brothers in the winning of their prize. RE: naive orleans - Iseldir - Dec 26, 2022 It was two against one, with one left to decide, or something like that. The apparent disagreement brought a dose of fun and chaos as they wrestled about and voiced their opinions. For Izzy, it was all a great game with a wonderful prize, and Hagar's encouragement was all he needed to try and win. He and Deag followed along as best they could, unaware that Hagar was going easy on them. It was a joyous feeling, playing with his family. Izzy knew in his heart that moment that if a real threat or problem were to come at them, any time, they'd all turn to face it together. That was what made it fun to play together, too. They were so close to winning the game, too. If Eve joined them they'd really have Hagar on the ropes. They were growing up big and strong now, it was time to show their Da what they could do together! He joined in encouraging her with a feverishly wagging tail and wry grin around the grip he held on the snowy-furred squirrel. RE: naive orleans - Avella - Jan 31, 2023 Things took a joyful turn as she watched Hagar start to play with the boys. A good' ole fashioned game of tug of War. Avella was content to watch the antics of the father and the boys. Though her daughters pouting hadn't gone unnoticed. The masked woman waited a few moments to see if Nineve would join on her own. Even after Hagar's attempts to bring the girl into the fun she still hadn't moved. Avella went to her and brushed her daughters cheek with her muzzle. "I'm sure your brothers and Hagar would love for you to join them," she spoke quietly against her daughter ear. She then gave the child a playful nudge hoping it would brighten her spirits. "What do you say? You wouldn't want to disappoint them woukd you?" She looked hopefully down at her daughter waiting for a response. RE: naive orleans - Nineve - Feb 05, 2023 Hagar did all his best to regain Eve's attention. He danced around, waving the creature out of her brother's grasps and closer towards Eve, nearly forcing her to pay attention as he came near. She side glanced Hagar's way a moment, only to toss her head around again with another disapproving snort.
It wasn't until her mother roused her and her paler brother gave her a look of wanting, did Nineve decide to move herself from her position. "If I must." She then decided. Well, she didn't want to be a disappointment and it was obvious that they needed her, if they were going to get the prize back from Hagar. However. It dawned on her that Hagar wouldn't have taken it back had they not ganged up on her to begin with! Giving her brothers a hard stare, she made certain that this would be a lesson well learned not to take something that was so obviously hers! Hoping up onto all fours, she rushed towards Hagar's direction, barking and yipping, backing him up as needed to help him instead! |
