Hagar
Random Event: Hagar, an unusually colored white squirrel has been making appearances in your territory. All welcome to anyone in WR, though Hagar is attempting to directly interact with the kiddos and maybe mom, so heads up to @Nineve @Iseldir @Daegal @Avella.

Hagar had been particularly distracted the past few days by one of their resident rodents. Most tree-dwellers were too stringy, dehydrated and quick to be worth the effort of hunting in his humble opinion. This one, however, kept catching his eye with it's coat of pure white and it's striking pink eyes. It was unlike anything he'd ever seen before, only coming close to snow-turned hare. Finally, he'd decided to catch it, and after several determined attempts Hagar at last had succeeded.

Now, he carried the curiously-colored prey to the mouth of Avella and her childrens' den, tail wagging through the air to show his delight with the gift. It twitched in his mouth, not quite dead yet. It's spasms would hopefully prove intriguing to the pups, and stimulate the instincts that would come to guide them in hunting. He set it upon the ground, from where it was unable to move, and issued a series of low barks, calling out to the Archer litter to coax them from their hollow.

Daegal Archer

Daegal enjoyed his new freedom, though he had yet to develop the desire to travel far. He was curious, of course, but his mother's insistence that they stay in the den for so long held him back; if she's refused to let them leave until she said, he probably shouldn't go off exploring until she said he could too.

That didn't stop him from sitting outside the den and watching the space around them at every opportunity, between playing with his siblings of course.

A series of barks drew his attention and Daegal sniffed the air. His ears pricked. Something smelled good. He jumped to his feet and ran towards the call, nearly crashing into Hagar's legs. He sat back and stared up at the man with big eyes before turning his gaze to the strange white thing upon the ground. His head tilted. This was the thing that smelled good. What is it? he wondered, but did not ask.

Iseldir Archer
Iseldir was playing right in the mouth of the den. He'd found a smooth, round pebble, and each time he carried it up to the edge, he'd nudge and paw at it until it rolled into the darkness, then dive after to retrieve it again. Perhaps another might tire of the simple game, but he was fascinated with the way it bounced and rolled, sometimes coming to a stop quickly and other times vanishing far into the depths of their home. He could only get so far away outside from the den's mouth before the ground became too flat for the stone to roll back in at all, no matter how much he nudged at it.

His game was interrupted by the sound of a bark, and by Daeg jumping into action, which compelled his near-shadow of a brother to follow after. One of the adults had brought something new to discover. The large dark form becoming more familiar to the young boy brought them a creature with fur so white it seemed to glow. A bark escaped Izzy as he watched it fall to the ground, life still coursing through it. His small tail waggled, his nose inching closer in curiosity. Two more high pitched yips erupted from him, calling out in excitement to share this new experience.

Avella Archer
Avella was content sitting outside the den in the sun watching her children play. The worries she had about being a mother had left her completely. The Ridge matriarch felt that she'd come into the role as mother easily and smoothly. She was always watchful and aware of her children. They didn't often do anything without her knowing. Whether they knew she knew or not was another story. She hadn't yet taught them what it meant to he an Archer just yet as that would come in time. She wanted them to have fun while they could before it was time to start learning how to survive in the lore.

Her head rested on her paws as her mismatched gaze followed the movements of the pups. Her ears perked up when she heard Hagar's bark. {I}'What was that about?'[/b] She thought. Avella could tell that he was rather excited about something. Thst became more clear as he appeared with a snow white creature dangling from his mouth. Avella remained where she was to allow her children to investigate their new toy.

Nineve Archer

Nineve was content at her mother's side, looking to her two brothers with her nose tipped up in disinterest. Instead, she rested near Avella's rump, toying with the long furs of her mother's tail and gagging when they got into the back of her mouth.

"Maaaa...!" A protest when her mother lifted along with her brothers to investigate what the large brown wolf had brought them. Something long and slinky and had white fur like her mother and Daegal.

She shoved her way between her two brothers, centered between them where she liked to be. "Mine." She had decided, and darted for the twitching thing's tail.

Hagar
Hagar was lucky enough to find them all. His fluffy tail beat back and forth through the air happily as the children quickly swarmed to investigate their latest gift. They were well cared for, doted on by a majority of the pack, and he was deeply thankful for that each and every day. With fondness he looked down upon them as their shining puppy blues regarded the broken animal at their disposal. Their dark fur was starting to change color, Daegal's face paling in likeness to his mother while the other two he couldn't help but think were sprouting his earth brown fur.

Eve laid claim to the toy swiftly, and Hagar's smile grew wry in response. She was feisty, displaying a fire not often seen in either of her parents. To playfully tease her, the ambiguous father stepped atop the creature once again as though about to retake it before giving it a soft kick which caused the wretched thing to 'jump' at the small trio. As much as he wanted to rest beside Avella and talk with her, Hagar was far from ready to stop interacting with her adorable offspring.

There was no doubt that they came first in his heart.

Daegal Archer

It didn't take long for his siblings to join him at the new plaything, Izzy right by his side and Eve quick to shove between them. Izzy's piercing yap split the air and Daegal's ears flicked back; why must he be so loud right in his ear? But then Eve was jumping forward to claim the white fluffy thing and his nose scrunched. No fair! I was here first!

Before he could pounce on her to challenge her for the prize, Hagar had a paw back on it, and then the white thing was jumping at them! He flinched back, lips peeling from his teeth, in defense, but it didn't fully attack them. Pale eyes slid instead to his unsuspecting sister, and with a grin he tackled her.

Iseldir Archer
Izzy was momentarily startled, tripping over his feet and plopping backward onto his rump as the thing twitched into the air with startling speed. The white thing moved toward them like a streak of light, but when it landed again it came to rest upon the earth and just lay there in the dust, twitching slightly. The momentary surprise faded, curiosity quickly winning out. Daegal moved to tackle Nineve, and with the two of them potentially distracted, Iseldir took his chance to move in on the prize.

He stepped closer and prodded the thing with his nose, marveling at the snowy-white fur and the tiny paws and features. It was quite still now. Iseldir looked up at Hagar questioningly, trying to work out exactly what he had brought them. Carefully, he bent forward and sniffed at it. Then he picked it up in his jaws, and gave it a shake back and forth experimentally, wondering if it might spring to life again.

Avella Archer
Avella absent-minded moved her tail as she laid watching her sons play. She knew her daughter was playing with it it which she figured out when she felt some of the hairs get pulled. Her sons each seemed to be playing their own game, it didn't bother the matriarch. She knew that they all cared for each other deep down. It was Hagar who ended the games and each of the puppies went to him. A soft smile across her features as they ran. She lifted her head to watch them to make sure they didn't get too out of paw.

Each of them investigated what the chocolate man had brought. Avella had seen for a brief moment that it was a white creature. That was I threshing to the mother. Isedir's high pitched yelps filled the air followed by Nineve claiming the creature. It was when Hagar kicked it that Avella rise to her feet.

She closed the short distance between herself and the small group that had collected. First a greeting was given to Hagar in the form of her brushing her cheek against his.

"Now what do we have here?" She said to her children bending her head to sniff at the creature. Her mismatched gaze landing on each of her children in turn. It finally rested on her daughter, "I think there's enough here for the three of you to share. What do you think Hagar?" She said turning back to look at the chocolate man.

Nineve Archer
Her pale brother seemed to hold objection. Eve did not care. His crinkled nose was met with her own. But her attention was taken the moment Hager placed his paw down on the little white creature, only for it to jump out into their direction. She did so jump back in surprise too, as her brother did. It scared her! Well, she didn't like that even more nor the fact that it startled her brothers too.

She growls at the creature, offering it a high pitched bark in protest. Daegal took advantage of her lack of focus on him and his pounce quickly landed her into the dirt. "Noooooo!" She whined, her favorite word as of yet. Still on the ground (with likely her annoying brother on top) she notices Izzy with her toy and her mother stating that there was plenty to share. "Noooooooo." She continued to protest while lying prone.
