Re: - Spirit of Wildwood - May 16, 2014 Water is beginning to freeze and some fish are trapped. Hunt Opportunity RE: Electric Air - Lunas - May 17, 2014 @Quick I didn't know there was a required post number. Whoops! Here we go. Lunas loped happily through the sunlit trees. Well, at least, he did until a white bullet shot out of the trees at him, knocking him over. With a growl and whuff of agitation, he stood, shook the grass and leaves out of his dirty coat, and nosed around for his herb bundles, which had gone flying when he had been bowled over. His goldenrod hadn't gone far, which was good. This would've been a bad time for him to lose either bundle. But, his hellebore was not easily located. After a good five minutes of sniffing and pawing the area, he found where it must've landed, but none of the actual plant. Perhaps whatever had crashed into him had taken it. A snowy owl maybe? He wasn't sure if those lived here though. If they did he hadn't encountered one yet. An arctic fox? No, it was unlikely one would come into the Forest and deliberately hit him like that. That left only one option: a wolf. And then, like a lightning bolt striking a tree, the puzzle pieces clicked together. It must've been Naia! Yes, further investigation told his nose that this was correct. She must've decided she wanted his hellebore after all. Well, she hadn't needed to come crashing into him to get it, but it had been nonetheless an effective method, and he didn't mind collecting more of the herb anyway. It would be nice to trek back to Willow Ridge without bees and other flying insects tormenting him the whole way because of the hellebore. He winced, remembering the bee stingers he'd had to scratch out at various times on his way up here. That had been annoying. Ruffling his fur one final time, he grabbed his goldenrod and sped off at a fast lope. He had what he had come for, and despite the "electric" feeling to the air between him and Naia, he had come out okay. It was time to go home. RE: Electric Air - Quick - May 17, 2014 Haha it's no problem! For points there is. It's generally 10 posts; some other types of threads require more posts to claim Life Points but those are all listed in the descriptions in le Guide :) [dohtml] Quick held her breath as she made impact, effectively edging her shoulder into Lunas' side. As he bowled away from her she reached her neck out, jaws snapping together in the air. She felt the taste of plant on her tongue, the itchy sort of feeling they gave her when they pressed against her gums. She'd gotten it! Before she'd even blinked the arctic female twisted her body in the opposite direction, her legs pushing hard against the ground to make herself disappear. Her body wound through the trunks of trees until she came across the deer carcass once again. She stopped and crouched by it, her silver eyes flashing. Equal parts pride and shame swam through her veins at her criminal act. But she'd gotten away with it, hadn't she? A grin stretched across her pale muzzle. Almost... Quick waited several moments more, holding the herbs delicately within her teeth, to be sure he wasn't returning to exact his revenge. When his scent failed to reappear, the she-wolf would release her hellebore and goldenrod gift to the grass beside her. First she would eat the deer for herself, then she would tear off as much as she could carry, and then Quick would be on her way home before you could say pirate. Fin! |
