RE: Learning The Ropes - Moonshadow - Dec 08, 2016 [dohtml] OOC! If you'd like we can finish up and archive after you post once more :) and I think I can change his status of teacher up a level. "Its no problem, sometimes showing is the better way of teaching a lesson." The young girl nodded and agreed with her teachers words. Yes indeed things of this nature as well as hunting and whatnot were best demonstrated. As a pup Moon remembered her father and big brother help her learn to hunt small prey. They would explain how to do it and then the young girl would try but couldn't get it just right. It wasn't until they had shown her how to was she able to perfect the skill. There was something in the way of watching and mimicing another's movements that just came easily to the dark yearling. Since she lost her family near the cusp of turning a year old she didn't ever join anyone on a border patrol. She thought she'd have all the time in the world - oh how wrong she was. The sting of her family was going to soon raise back to the surface for the anniversary was only months away. Right now however the ebony girl wasn't going to let it get her down. She had been given a second chance at having a family. While she didn't want to forget her birth pack, her blood, she was determined to be the best member that she could be and hopefully they would one day be her family as well. Her silver dusted tail began to wag at a steady pace at the mention of continuing on. Her smile broadened as she stubly bounced in place forgetting all feelings of shame. "Yes please!" She exclaimed happily. The more she could learn about her new home the better. RE: Learning The Ropes - Kajika - Dec 09, 2016 That sounds good, I'll do a fade on this one. You can archive it after you read it or I can later. That would be great if you could up his level, thanks.
[dohtml] There were many times when he'd been teaching something to another wolf that he had provided different things for them to try. Whatever worked best for them particularly in hunting or fishing since it depended on the skill level of the wolf being taught. This however was different, it didn't require any particular skill just the knowledge of what needed to be done. Now that Moonshadow had the knowledge and could do exactly what needed to be done she wouldn't have to learn what to do again. Refreshing the markers wasn't anything that needed practice but walking the borders was a different story. That was something that did need more practice so that she would know what to look for. So that she would be well versed in what signs meant danger to the pack and she could help to prevent anything bad happening to the pack. Kajika hoped that Moonshadow wouldn't ever have to give the alarm but from the past year he knew that was a false hope. He had decided that this lesson would be a guided tour of the border to show her what she was to look for a do while she was patrolling. He felt that she was a bright student and could work on her patrolling in the following days. Of course he would always be around to answer any questions she might have for him in case something came up later. With the marker refreshing lesson taught he felt it was time for them to get back to the patrol. There was still so much to do and he didn't want them to run out of light before they could finish. When asked she agreed that they should get going so it was with a nod that Kajika led the way further on. With so much left to patrol he figured she would be pretty good when they finished, she was a quick learner after all. [/dohtml] |
