RE: Magnolia Glen Pack Thread - Phineas - Jul 15, 2013 [dohtml] [/dohtml] RE: Magnolia Glen Pack Thread - Ataneq - Jul 18, 2013 [dohtml] It was with great sadness that Ataneq would have to move forward while knowing that his mother was gone. He didn’t know whether or not her leave was temporary and she would come back for him, or if he was truthfully on his own. Either way, he was not on his own and he had to make the best of it. There was no reversing his situation and he had to simply deal with the change like the adult that he would soon become. Leaving Phineas and Borlla wouldn’t be fair and they deserved better than to have wolves skip out on them without a word. At least he had assumed Siku would have told them before her dismissal but apparently that wasn’t the case. His mother hadn’t even had the decency to offer them a goodbye nor her own son.
I’VE DROWNED AND DREAMT THIS MOMENT RE: Magnolia Glen Pack Thread - Borlla - Nov 20, 2013 Midafternoon - Clear — Current Temperature: -22° F/-30° C [dohtml] The woman, trying so hard to recover, was finding little help from the weather. Though the snow had stopped falling, the freezing temperatures had made kept what had fallen right in place, and had even frozen it more. Everything was cold. Feverishly cold. Her body ached as she shifted from side-to-side within the den, sleepless even in sleep. So much so that she soon found herself awake, sore, cold and yet hot. With effort, she pulled herself out of the den to face the sun, but it gave her no warmth. Her paws crunched loudly through the frozen top layer of snow, sinking an inch or so down, sending chills up her sore legs. Borlla winced, tempted to retreat back into the den, but it wasn't as though it was much better down there, and she was still so very determined to shake whatever she had gotten after her accident. Her leg had healed up for the most part, though she still kept her weight off of it. And whatever ailed her own obviously refused to be healed with immobility. High-stepping across the clearing, the Tainn woman took a moment to catch her breath beside a lone boulder. It was chilly as she leaned against it, and for a moment Borlla felt as though she had no fur. It didn't seem to be shielding her at all from the hateful bite of fall. Scowling, she leaned a bit harder against the rock, honeyed eyes narrowing as she kept herself from backing down. Her muscles were certainly not pleased with the sudden onslaught of chill, but she was strangely determined in her mission to create her own, non-sickly warmth. Her inner temperature felt as though it were fluctuating between hot and cold until it seemed to level out at a pleasant warm. At least for now, her fur seemed to be protecting her once again (or, more accurately, her skin was a bit less sensitive to the temperature). Internally, aside from the sudden levelness of her internal temperature, she could not say she truly felt any better, but she took most of her weight from the rock again, finding a simple support in it now. <b style="color:#32527a"> RE: Magnolia Glen Pack Thread - Rhysis - Jan 02, 2014 Aternoon. Light snow — Current Temperature: 1° F/-17° C [dohtml] He had abandoned border patrol for the day; a job he had not been asked to do but one he didn't seem to be able to stop, it must have been habit. With more snow falling from the sky the task was becomming more and more energy consuming. Dragging himself through snow drifts and avoiding slipping on ice was more of a task than was worth it. With their food cache slowly depleting, he simply didn't want to spend any extra energy then he had left. However, Rhysis didn't do well being cooped up. He enjoyed his freedom, exploring, being nosy and vetting any who knocked at their door. Though his original plan had been to stay just the winter, he was enjoying the stress free life that came with limited responsability. It made a nice change of pace for the dark beast to just sit back and let others do the worrying. Though he was not a mindless drone, it was sometimes nice to play one. [/dohtml] RE: Magnolia Glen Pack Thread - James - Jan 28, 2014 Evening, Overcast — Current Temperature: 21° F/-6° C James had been doing what he promised. Walking borders and not eating the pack's food. After one of those things was done he had decided to lounge in front of the pack den. Things had been rather silent for the Slayer. Some might call that a blessing but he didn't enjoy it. It gave him the feeling others were trying to ignore him. Perhaps because he was new, a foreign scent to their noses. Laying down in the snow he was easy to see. His dark figure stood out against the white ground like a sore paw. Part of him begged for company from another fellow member but then again he enjoyed the silence. The company would give him a chance to bond, yet the silence gave him the chance to relax and not worry. Humming to himself was the most company it seemed he was getting for now. James had came here on a mission to find this Shade man but it seemed his mission had taken a detour. It had thrown him here in a pack called Magnolia Glen. It seemed he would be spending sometime here. Until he gained the Alpha's trust and respect. He'd also have to stay a little longer then winter to show he wasn't using them as some sort of cover from winter. He wasn't like that anyways. James had promised loyality and it had to be shown before he made any sort of stupid decisions. The words of Phineas echoed in his head too, "I will feast on your hide." So what he was talking about the food? The thought of it was enough to make him not do anything stupid. RE: Magnolia Glen Pack Thread - Neoma - Jan 29, 2014 [dohtml]
After slinking to follow Borlla, and Phineas, further into the territory and finding where the pack den was, Neoma was silently fuming as she trotted towards the edge of the trees surrounding the den. Huffing to herself, her eyes were drawn to another dark furred wolf lounging by a tree.
Table by PuppyThief [/dohtml] RE: Magnolia Glen Pack Thread - Albireo - Mar 09, 2014 Like a serpent slithering back into the cracks of the earth, Albireo had retreated towards the heart of the territory. While he had told his brother that the pack had needed him, it was a flimsy and dishonest excuse. Even though the days were lengthening, Relic Lore was still just as cold and inhospitable. There was nothing to hunt, no caches to tend to, and watching the borders was the only task worth keeping up with but Albireo was loathe to chance another encounter with Deneb at the border. He knew his brother wouldn't risk following him in, but he was surprised that Deneb hadn't even stopped his retreat. It wasn't likely for Deneb to give up right away, so Albireo planned on hanging low until his kin starved out there. It surely wouldn't be long. Albireo ducked into the den, finding it quiet and empty. He circled about, finally lying down with his face peering out the entrance. He kept his muddy dark eyes on the edge of the clearing, still expecting Deneb to materialize at any second. Al tried to sleep, but his thoughts kept swirling. Judgement was out there, waiting for him. For the first time since her invitation to the Glen, K'arnae hobbled out from her hideaway to sniff around the pack's den. It took some time for her to acquaint herself with the smell of the coterie, but as with all things it was only a matter of time. Being mindful of her leg, the unkempt female settled her bulk just outside the reach of the main den. Her eyes were closed and posture relaxed as she paused for a moment to rest. [/dohtml] |
