The agouti male didn’t dare to glance back as he quickly sprinted away from his younger female pack mate. Russet ears were pushed back firmly against his head and his tail was tucked fearfully between his legs as he made his getaway, disappearing swiftly into the vast tundra.
A part of him felt guilty for ditching Saradathia like he had done, but the other half of him just couldn’t face Piety. Not now, not whilst everything was so awkward.
