go your own way - Gent - Jul 16, 2017 The past few months had done nothing to wear at the familiarity of the land he was slipping into. Cobalt Corrie had his heart and his pride, having flourished greatly under his and Raela's command; yet Relic Lore would always be home to the looming beast. The choking forest with its thickets and thorns welcomed him like an old friend, the growth caressing through his blue-black fur and the shadows of the canopy obscuring his hulking form. He could taste the pack ahead on the tip of his tongue, the markers steadily growing in strength. Secret Woodlands. The memories were abundant, a reverie he had happily been consumed by the moment the wood had transitioned into Northern Eden. His long strides drew to a steady close. Gent took a deep breath, a smile curling his wolfish lips. His thick tail swished behind him, and for a moment the alpha merely took in the warm stillness of the air and the chittering of the forest around him, felt the vibrations of the loamy earth and the strength of his travelled legs. The solitude of the five day journey had done him well, but he was ready for that stretch to be broken. Tipping back his skull, he broke through the summer air with his voice, strong and amiable in timbre as it requested the presence of the monarchs of Secret Woodlands. RE: go your own way - Kaela - Jul 20, 2017 [dohtml] ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Word Count: 237 She. Was. So. Bored. Suddenly Kaela could understand why the alphas’ fiery daughter got into such trouble. There was simply nothing to do here in the Woodlands. It was almost enough to make the monochrome girl give up her plans and take off for someplace more exciting. Then again, she could bring the wolves of the area some excitement, could she not? It was not the kind of fun they would enjoy, but they shouldn’t let their guard down just because everything was so drab all the time. Kaela was trotting around the border, hoping to maybe find Flair and start a fight, or run into Zilas and work on gaining his trust. Just do something to relieve her tedium. That was when she heard a call. It was not to her, but Kaela couldn’t help turning towards it. Who was this wolf calling at the border? That hadn’t happened before, at least no that she’d heard. As she made her way through the trees, she smelled someone new. They didn’t seem to carry a pack scent, but as the girl was new to the area she could be wrong. The man was large – much larger than the curious young woman on the other side of the border. His sheer size made her fur prickle. This was not a fight to pick, so the girl simply sat a respectable distance from the man and stared at him. RE: go your own way - Gent - Nov 08, 2017 To his mild surprise, it was not the either of the alphas that were to appear first from within the gloom of the thicket. Gent's pale eyes settled instead upon a sandy colored woman who spoke not a word. He could notice the static in her fur, the slight apprehension at his presence, but she chose not to assert herself otherwise. Instead, she was oddly silent and merely sat herself upon the ground to... stare at him. Gent snorted softly as his thoughts only commented 'weird.' Aideen arrived swiftly enough to curb whatever tension might have then proceeded to grow between them. His eyes lit up as he saw her, Nina's jubilant successor. He'd been unsure of the petite woman and her mate the first he'd seen of them, but with time and the continued strength of the Woodlands it was clear that the one-eyed matriarch had made a wise decision in relinquishing her power as she had. Miccah, his dark and muscled counterpart, also appeared within short notice. He knew that the smile he was met with was rare, and was sure to return it. "Hello you two. I'm glad to see that the Woodlands seems well. I'm sorry it's been so long since I've visited. How are the children?" @Aideen @Miccah RE: go your own way - Kaela - Nov 11, 2017 [dohtml] ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Word Count: 113 Kaela did not flinch away as the stranger returned her stare, but said nothing. Aideen was quick to arrive, casting a disapproving look at her and greeting the dark man. Not a stranger, but a friend of the pack. That did not help her relax. Was this man joining them? He could throw a wrench in her plans… he would be a hard wolf to best. The second alpha was right behind his mate, enthusiastically calling out to this ‘Gent’. Who was he? How did they know him? Did packs work together? This might be harder than she thought. She would have to observe this meeting and determine her best plan of action. "Speech" Thought |
