[/dohtml]RE: Driftwood Surge Pack Thread - Lachesis - Feb 20, 2018 @Andre only During his four years in the lands of Lore the ghost had now shuffled around four times. Two out of four times had not been by choice, as the move from Darkwater Rapids to Cut Rock was the result of a natural disaster and moving from the west to the north (to Hearthwood) had been the cause of a nearby threat. Leaving Pitch Pine had been a difficult decision, but even in his youth he knew it would benefit him (and Anastasia) in the long run. The trail had suffered a similar fate to Hearthwood. Their leader had passed, causing a shift within the pack. Members had disappeared and the land felt tainted, just like the Kingswood. He’d fully prepared to spend the rest of his life in the north, among the towering cedars, but things had changed. As of late, a relentless sea of drama had made its way through the trees. Which meant it had been time for a change. However, the change had resulted in a few things getting left behind. Like half of his inventory for his infirmary. He’d made a few trips north, collecting bits and pieces, but he was curious as to how André was getting along. Sometimes Lachesis had to keep reminding himself that he wasn’t the only healer anymore… "André?" he called out as he approached the communal den, his chin tipped to the side as he waited for a response. RE: Driftwood Surge Pack Thread - Andre - Feb 20, 2018 The male had been relaxing after a patrol, taking it easy before he headed out to start on his next tasks. They may have been in the final stages of settling but there was still plenty to be done. Lucky for Lachesis that the large male was just about to head out as he was called. A friendly sway of his tail and a smile were evident. He was always rather pleased to see the pale leader. They usually had plenty to chatter about and shared some common interests. The large male halted a few steps away before he finally spoke in warm tones. "Lachesis." His head tipped slightly out of respect and greeting. "Everything alright?" Despite their friendship, the tawny male was not used to be called upon. In the past, if he was called upon it was usually for an emergency. Such was the life of a healer. RE: Driftwood Surge Pack Thread - Lachesis - Feb 20, 2018 A soft smile appeared on his features at the approach of the green-eyed healer, his tail swaying gently behind him. It appeared he’d stopped André on his way out, which was good for the pale healer. Maybe not so good for the agouti if he was planning a different route than the one that Lachesis was about to give him. ”Of course,” he hummed in response, his tone neutral and expression smooth. ”You settling in well?” He asked, his shoulders rolling back as his posture became more comfortable; less formal. André had just gotten acquainted with the woods of Kingsfall when Lachesis had sprung the news upon him and the rest of the pack. He hadn’t been around for all the drama and deaths. He was just dealing with the aftermath, the poor guy. RE: Driftwood Surge Pack Thread - Andre - Feb 20, 2018 The leader's words put him at ease. Perhaps this wasn't a call for business then. A casual chat would do the healer well mentioning he hadn't had time to acquaint himself with others very much before they upped and moved. Then tumbled forth a question he should have expected. "I am. It's rather nice here even if it's a bit different." The healer answered with honesty in his tones. The new pack location was certainly no grand Kingsfall but this place was well too. Different but well. "I was about to go out, do you need me to attend to anything?" A brow gently raised above green eyes. It wasn't like the large male was deathly busy, he could easily take a few tasks off of Lachesis' paws if it was required or asked. RE: Driftwood Surge Pack Thread - Lachesis - Feb 20, 2018 The ghost nodded. Even though he’d been the one that initiated the move it was still an adjustment for him. He’d scouted back to the Surge a few times before packing up the group and heading south, but there was still a lot of the territory that remained unexplored. At least to him. He couldn’t say the same for his subordinates—especially the children, for their paws wandered more than others. ”Actually I do, if you don’t mind?” A lop-sided grin tugged at his dark lips, his head tipping slightly to the side. ”I left some herbs back at Hearthwood. I hate to intrude on your patrol, but if you’re looking for items to add to your infirmary there’s still plenty that got left behind.” It made him feel more prepared having a well-stocked infirmary, especially with the addition of new members. He just wanted to be prepared for everything and anything. RE: Driftwood Surge Pack Thread - Andre - Feb 20, 2018 "Don't mind at all." He answered softly. The healer had offered after all. His head nodded along softly at the pale leader's words. "I'd love to go ahead and start heading that way before it gets dark if you don't mind?" He asked with a slight tilt of his head. It would be best to go ahead and get it over with so he could get back here sooner. Not to mention if he could make the trip swiftly (not extremely likely considering his rather beefy frame) there'd be fewer chances for him to miss any injuries or emergencies. Only once Lachesis agreed would Andre fully dismiss himself from the scene. RE: Driftwood Surge Pack Thread - Lachesis - Feb 20, 2018 He felt bad, for pulling André away from whatever task he was about to preform, but that came with being an alpha. Telling others what to do; creating tasks for them. It did not matter if they had already created their own. Lachesis was quick to nod in response to the agouti before taking a step to the side, dismissing the subordinate from their meeting. ”Absolutely not,” he chuffed in response as he motioned for the healer to continue along his way. ”Let me know if you stumble upon anything of interest during your travels,” he called out to the agouti as he watched his figure disappear into the trees. The ghost remained where he was for a moment before leaving the scene to search for his mate; to let her know where he had sent their healer. interaction over RE: Driftwood Surge Pack Thread - Lachesis - Feb 21, 2018 @Jynx With his leftover herbs in Hearthwood being taken care of the ghost’s to-do list was growing shorter as the days passed. This time, however, his next task required a little more travel. He’d already informed his friends in the Edge of the relocation of Hearthwood, and attempted to notify the Notch before bumping into the Myrddin’s. But there were two other packs that were unaware of the move. The alliance still remained between the river wolves and their western neighbours, so they were on his list, but he also wanted to notify their southern neighbours in the Bend of what had happened to Kisla’s pack. Alerting them was a good excuse for one of his newest members, who had accompanied the river wolves from Cedarwood to the north in the past, to stretch her legs. And search for her children in an area she had not yet explored due to where her former home was situated. With a soft woof he called for his friend, his chartreuse gaze sweeping over the densite for her familiar shape among the trees… RE: Driftwood Surge Pack Thread - Jynx - Feb 21, 2018 [dohtml] Fully settled into her new home, Jynx was very nearly completely recovered. Her body condition had improved; she had put on a few healthy pounds and her russet tinted agouti fur regained it's lustrous shine. And yet...she remained restless. Her body had recovered, but her mind was slow to catch up. She still thought of her children every single day, but didn't let the sense of overwhelming guilt consume her as it had when she and Emrys were on the move. When Lachesis and his own mate announced at the recent pack meeting that there would only be a single litter this year, she was relieved. She wasn't in the proper state of mind to even consider more children of her own. Not until she solved the mystery of where Elyan and Arwyn had gone off to. A sense of quiet tension and unease still hung in the air between her and Emrys. She needed her space, and he his own. With minimal words she had excused herself from the den space they shared, seldom lying curled up against his side, when all was right with the world. The day found her stretched out atop the very same rocky den, warm rays of sunlight breaking through the clouds to warm the surface pleasantly. Eyelids shut, she peacefully was enjoying the silence and the heat soaking into her body when a soft call disrupted the peace. Sunny eyes fluttered open, recognizing the voice of both her leader and friend. He was close, by the sound of it. Catching a glimpse of the telltale white fur, she leapt down and met him after a few strides. "Lach..." She greeted with a warm smile and a slow, friendly wave of her tail.
