RE: Lake Jewel - Elyan - Jul 31, 2018

[dohtml]

Elyan wasn't afraid of the coyotes especially been he had back up. Even if one of them looked like he'd been around the lore one too many times without enough food. The smaller canids looked like they thought they might be a little scared with their posturing and snarling, a clear show to cause the wolves to back down. “I think you might be right,” he agreed with the older male. And Aurek seemed rather ready to go at the coyotes himself, that was his companion though, not afraid when he had back up.

“Got it,” he stated when asked if he understood the instructions being given, “Hopefully it will be enough to keep them from showing their faces around this part of the forest for awhile.” The grey yearling wasn't sure if they were the same ones but he certainly hoped they were. “Ready whenever you are,” he told the other two males.

RE: Lake Jewel - Garmir - Jul 31, 2018

OOC: Quick post.

The boys were ready. As soon as Garmir heard it from both, he barked order to advance, he himself launching ahead into slow sprint, aimed at the coyotes. He wasn't going to exhaust himself over this.

True enough, the coyotes scattered as soon as they realized the wolves were going to charge them. Garmir took lead but he wasn't putting too much effort into it, allowing the two younger wolves to take point if they wanted, rather choosing to watch after both of them in case they would charge too far or risk being flanked. He really did not expect there to be any bloodletting. The coyotes hardly ever let themselves get caught as it was practically death sentence for lesser canine.

RE: Lake Jewel - Aurek - Jul 31, 2018

The pale boy in the other hand shot forward like an anti tank missile, in just a moments zooming past the older male fully set on sinking his teeth on the closest of coyotes. His sprint was so rapid the coyote he had aimed for hardly had time to get out of the way and as Aurek's jaws near missed the mark, he earned a patch of fur as a thropy for himself.

He was like a white lightning made out of adrenaline and great motivation for revenge built from days of fear and torment he had had to endure with these vermin. He really wanted to kill one and had he had time to stop and think what he was doing, he might have even found his thirst for blood frightening.

They had organized themselves and had a plan of action then the larger male gave the word when they were in position. A smirk crossing the grey yearling maw, these coyotes didn't know what they were in for. Or maybe they did and just didn't care, at least that could have been the belief before they scattered as the large stranger moved forward.

Elyan for his part stayed at the man's flank for the moment while he saw Aurek charge a head out of the corner of his eye. When he believed the time to be right the young Myrddin charged forward as well. He had his sights on one of the coyotes and soon gained ground. Once close enough he dove grabbing with his teeth at it's hock where he found purchase and didn't let go.

RE: Lake Jewel - Aurek - Aug 01, 2018

OOC: Im skipping Garmir and kinda just controlling both with this post. Feel free to post after. I think we are close to conclusion anyway. @Elyan

----

The older wolf seemed less eager to waste energy full running and instead let the two younger ones to do most of the dashing and chasing. Aurek was so committed to his own chase that he barely heard Garmir bark him to stop and turn around. It did not help the man did not know Aurek's name which might have helped him notice he was being called.

Snowball, turn back! SNOWBALL! Huh? Aurek's tunnel vision broke and he realized he had trailed off from the group. He also noticed Elyan had caught one and that made him excited. Now instead, he begin to run towards Elyan's coyote, hoping to grapple it down proper to earn them least one kill. "Don't let it go!"

RE: Lake Jewel - Elyan - Aug 02, 2018

Elyan was aware of the larger male behind him and Aurek somewhere up a head but his focus was in the coyote right in front of him. One ear turned toward the strangers voice as he called after the pale yearling. Elyan was gaining on his target. He didn't aim to kill but he was going to make this one think twice about going after full grown wolves again.

That goal in mind his jaws clamped around the tawny hind leg of the coyote. The lesser canine tried to kick him off but Elyan wasn't letting go just yet. If fact he welcomed the struggle of the smaller animal. His ear turned once more toward Aurek's voice as he commanded that Elyan not let go. He kept his grip allowing his teeth to tear at the flesh as the coyote continued his struggles, the grey yearling moving with him as it tried with everything it had to get away.

RE: Lake Jewel - Garmir - Aug 03, 2018

At this point Garmir's role was less in taking part of the fighting - as there really wasn't any, and more in herding the two younger wolves and watching their packs in case any of the remaining coyotes might think about attacking them from behind. The one he had named snowball finally abandoned chasing his own coyote and instead turned to target the one his friend had caught.

Garmir himself kept stead trot beside Elyan but allowed the young man do the work as it seemed he had things under control. The remaining coyote wasn't doing much at this point. Even if it were to attempt to save its friend, Garmir would have been there to intercept it and it seemed like the lesser canines were realizing their defeat...

"Good job. Keep at him." -He complimented Elyan only to nice Aurek zooming right in for the kill like guided torpedo...

RE: Lake Jewel - Aurek - Aug 03, 2018

[dohtml]

Aurek slammed his heavier body against the caught coyote with his jaws going straight for its scruff. The boy was completely feral at this point, biting down on its victim like an animal he was. It was clear he enjoyed this, maybe little too much but to him this was payback for all those days of living in fear and being chased and bitten by these things. Aurek was full on planning to kill the coyote and he would kill more were he to get his jaws on some.

Of course, the verming had to bite him back. Aurek barely noticed the pain but the little shirieking thing was putting its jaws all over the white wolf's body, the yearling's blood so filled with adrenaline he barely noticed any pain, even if little reddish marks were starting to show on his fur...

The yearling’s focus was completely on the coyote now as it struggled against his grip. He was waiting for it to turn and try to bite him or pry his jaws off it's hock. The Myrddin boy wasn't letting go ready to do what it took to keep himself from getting injured.

His body jerked a little as Aurek slammed into the the caught canine but he held his feet. It seemed however his companion's aim wasn't perfect giving the coyote access to inflict injury on the white wolf. Out of the corner of his eye he could see the red seeping through the white fur. He let out a low growl, a warning to the coyote and to his friend. He hoped Aurek was paying attention and would realize he was getting himself into more trouble than these creatures were worth. Then with one swift movement of his head he jerked the coyotes leg into an unnatural position with a cracking sound.

RE: Lake Jewel - Garmir - Aug 06, 2018

[dohtml]

Garmir did not intervene until Aurek got bit in turn, the earthen male now in turn coming from the other side and taking hold of the coyote's neck from the side. A loud shierk came out of the coyote's maw as its leg was being twisted by the second wolf. The voice was quickly silence however as Garmir was able to wrap his jaws all the way from scruff down to the throat and with killer's precision he finished off the poor thing before anyone was getting hurt anymore. It was quite uneventful, a simple snap, jolt and the coyote going limp right after it, held upright only by the wolves.

The remaining coyotes by now knew the battle was over. There was nothing else they could do and with risk of being caught as well and killed, the vermin decided to disperse as quickly as they could. Garmir did not pursue and he made sure the boy's would not try either by murmuring command for the two to let remaining coyotes go. "Its over."
