RE: Follow the signs - Elyan - Sep 05, 2018

[dohtml]

He hadn't wanted to say anything to Aurek about what he thought he had found simply because he was afraid he was wrong. What if he hadn't actually found his parents? There was something different about the scents but the underlying scent that told him it was them was there. “Crazy right? I want to believe it's them but it's been so long,” he voiced.

Of course as always their conversation was interrupted by the arrival by coyotes. Not just one which would have been simple, no it was four again. Elyan was quickly growing tired of all of this coyote business. This time was different, before they could even move the annoying rodents were surrounding them. “I don't think we're escaping this time, Aurek. We can't take them all.” It really looked like it was the end until a flash of white came out of the forest and violently send one of the away crying. The young Myrddin looked to his friend before turning to look at the stranger who wasn't actually a stranger at all, “Dad?”

RE: Follow the signs - Aurek - Sep 09, 2018

Aurek was mentally getting ready to make a last stand here with his friend when their desperate situation suddenly turned around. Like an guardian angel suddenly out of the undergrowth came third wolf, right away unleashing its fury upon the closest of coyotes. That ferocious attack was sudden enough to throw the coyotes off guard.

Aurek would have joined in but it seemed like Emrys was single handedly deciding the fight for the wolves, remaining coyotes confused and unsure if to act while the raging wolf came right at them. The pale boy's ears perked as he head Elyan suddenly reveal the strange wolf was none else than his father. "Dad?" -He almost echoed Elyan's question, seeming just as confused if not more.

blinking, and then starting to laugh out of relief, Aurek joined the battle, further tipping the scales into wolves' favor was the coyotes begin to scurry out now that numbers were even.

RE: Follow the signs - Emrys - Sep 14, 2018

The wolves that he'd been following were in trouble and needed help, Emrys didn't even have to think about it. He rushed in going straight for one of the lesser canines. He didn't pay any attention to the boy's, his focus solely on the vermin that thought it a good idea to attack a couple of yearling's.

It was after the one he'd attacked ran off that he heard one of them refer to him as “Dad”. He wished he could take more time out just then to address it but there were still three Coyotes that thought they had a chance.

They did for a moment anyway until it seemed they slowly realized they didn't have a chance. He went after another biting at it's retreating form to further send the message. Once they had dealt with the threat he would figure out the mystery of who had spoken.

RE: Follow the signs - Elyan - Sep 14, 2018

Elyan really thought that after every encounter they'd had with the coyotes and getting away unscathed it was their time, they they were done for. He thought he could almost see his life flash before his eyes and as if that had conjured him from the ether the pale figure of his father appeared. Well at first Elyan wasn't sure.

The white wolf's movements against the coyote's we're so fast that the young Myrddin hadn't got a good enough look. Then when the one went running and the man had stopped he recognize him Immediately. He heard his own voice speak to his father and even Aurek's asking but it was all surreal.

Until the coyotes of course, how could he have forgotten about them? His father had been kind enough to rid them off one and evened out the odds. Elyan once again was preparing himself for a fight but he wasn't sure there was going to be much of one.

RE: Follow the signs - Aurek - Sep 17, 2018

The pale boy did not even got to bite single coyote before they were already on hasty retreat. This time he was wise enough not to give a chase, instead halting and buffing his chest while yelling profanities after running creatures that had just moments ago seemed destined to end him. He had wide, visible grin on his face and his confidence was through the roof. It felt so good. "Ya better run, shits!"

Aurek did not turn his gaze away until he was sure there were no more coyotes coming back at them. His heart was still bounding against his chest but he felt alive, victorious and also grateful for the good luck he and Elyan had been blessed with. Their guardian angel could have not showed up at better time.

He looked back towards the stranger, and then Elyan, waiting to see what an interesting conversation surely was about to follow. Was this thruly Elyan's father - the wolf he had hear so much about? Aurek was filled for a brief moment with wonder and joy for his friend.. but then something else begin to bug him. What would happen to him? The boys had agreed to travel together until they found @Lorcan or Elyan's parents. Was this the end of their adventure? He was still smiling, genuinely happy, but he also feared this might be end of an chapter.

RE: Follow the signs - Emrys - Sep 21, 2018

Once he came on the scene and showed one of the pack of coyotes exactly what they were dealing with it wasn't much of a fight. The pale healer was thankful for that. He wanted it done and over with as quickly as possible. The last thing he wanted was one of the young wolves Injured in a fight with the vermin.

Speaking of the younger wolves it hadn't slipped his mind that he'd swore he heard one of them utter the word dad. There was only one wolf that it could be. He watched only for a moment as the rest of their attackers retreated. A snort of agreement With the young white male was given before he turned toward the other young wolf.

Emrys looked him over, if this was his son Elyan he looked very different than the last time he'd seen him. As he looked closer as he noticed the yearlings eyes, in if his mother's and one of his father's, “Elyan is that you?”

A fight that maybe should have lasted a bit longer didn't and was over within moments. Elyan was thankful for it, he'd not only grown tired of dealing with the pesky rodents that couldn't leave he and Aurek alone but was almost certain that after a year he'd found his father. That meant more to the yearling than dealing with the vermin.

He gave a short laugh at Aurek's words before he saw the pale man looking at him. For a long moment he just stood there waiting for him to speak, to say something that would indicate some sort of recognition. Out of the corner of his eye he could see Aurek watching what was happening and in that moment he felt a little self conscious.

Then his father seem to recognize him and his tail began to wag, “It's been too long dad but it's me.” He said going to the pale healer and pressing his face into his father's chest. He'd dreamed of this day many times and he had so many questions. Pulling away he suddenly remembered his friend, “Dad, this is my friend Aurek,” his introduced with a jut of his muzzle in the other yearlings direction.

RE: Follow the signs - Aurek - Sep 26, 2018

The moment Elyan brought his head down against his father's chest Aurek was about ready to tear up and start crying. He was so happy for his friend, that they had finally found what Elyan had been looking for this whole time. Aurek's tail was waving behind him too and when Elyan pointed at him and introduce himself, the pale boy grinned, doubling the pace at which his tail swirled behind him. A little bit shyly he greeted. "H-hello!"

This moment had brought before them so quickly Aurek had not really had moment to prepare or think over how he should act. He could not just go straight up and hug Elyan's dad. That would have not been proper, although right now that was pretty much what he wanted to do for practically saving their lives from the coyotes.

He took few steps closer, but kept his ears folded and head low, appearing far more submissive than what the typically did, even if he was evidently happy for this encounter.

RE: Follow the signs - Emrys - Oct 08, 2018

Looking his son over Elyans physical changes were most evident, he now had a dark mask around his eyes. He'd grown obviously and now stood nearly as tall as his father. When his boy pressed his face into Emrys’ chest the father embraced him. It had been a long time. “It's so good to see you and know your alright,” he said against his son’s fur.

Elyan soon brought his attention to the wolf that was accompanying him. The boy seemed shy and Emrys gave a dip of his head, “Thank you for looking after my son,” he said kindly. He was glad to know that Elyan had someone with him to help through the time if the coyotes.

Turning back to Elyan he smiled, “There is much to talk about but I have to ask, has there been any sign of your sister?”

For months Elyan had started to believe that he wouldn't ever see his parents or sister ever again. He never dreamed that it would happen as it was in that moment and now he had the chance to find out what had happened. He had so many questions he wanted to ask but first he just wanted to bask in having his father back.

As much as he wanted to stay in his father's embrace he couldn't forget that his friend was nearby. He introduced Aurek and let his father speak to him. His father was right, there was a little to discuss but first Emrys wanted to know of Arwyn.

The gray yearling looked at his paws and shook his head, “I looked for months for her father but I haven't found anything. I did find Hawthorne in a pack not far from here, it's been long time since I saw her,” the younger Myrddin explained.
