Chan honestly wasn't sure what to expect, if Aleister's calm would give way to anger at the prodding or if the gap would prove easy to cross. When the other man's response came, the pack's second still wasn't sure what to make of it. He was starting to realize just how little he really knew the guy, something he wanted to remedy. What was happening behind those mismatched eyes, what was he really thinking, about all of this?
The topic transitioned instead, and the Eastfall chose to respect that decision, recognizing that further prompting would not be productive. There was more he had to say about the litters, but he would bring it back up after a little intermission.
"Vayko and his family were able to settle," he answered, "they're South of the Western-most bend of Heartleaf, so really not all that far, either. They had two litters coming as well, and were only planning on one, so he's worried about being able to provide. I think it's a good opportunity for us to help each other out this Summer."
