RE: naive orleans - Hagar - Mar 12, 2023

Hagar kept the boys preoccupied while their mother rallied Nineve. He watched from the corners of his eyes as he maintained the antics of keeping the duo attached to the squirrel just on the edge of losing it, and couldn't help a soft snort through his nostrils as she initially rebuffed them. So young but already so sure of herself, a wonderful quality; or perhaps he was simply biased.

She did give in though, and Hagar grinned around the albino carcass as she joined his side. That's my girl! he couldn't help but think, one of many slips he would make along the way until finally giving in to claiming fatherhood for himself. For now he reminded himself that he was merely a part of their pack, and kept such encouragements to himself.

He danced around the children, complimenting their play and ensuring things were never too easy to any of them. As fun as this was, it was also a key factor to their development. They were building muscles and skills that would see them through adulthood. As long as they remained entertained with the game, Hagar was more than happy to oblige even if it took all afternoon.
