Passing Through - Kashikoi - Jul 04, 2012

For Kashiokoi this whole experience was one of learning really. Even though the situation at hand was dire he felt oddly calm. Even though this was his first time he used his practiced knowledge he had complete confidence. He knew that if any one wolf was able to help this stranger it was Nina. He watched closely to her practiced movements. The way she mopped the blood with web before using the ergot he gathered. He had initially thought that the patient was to eat the ergot. Apparently it was for the healer to chew and press into the wound. He looked Nina in the eye and nodded to her and her command. He turned his attention to the wolf on the ground and ignored her complaining. "If you don't want to feel any pain then I suggest you eat these herbs and to leave your mind at rest, no we are not going to kill you"

Passing Through - Sloane - Jul 04, 2012

Falling right into place, following the orders of the healer, the over-sized two year old headed out to find food for the injured wolf. This he could do. He hurried off, grateful that he was not tasked with finding more of the sticky webs. He would have done so in a heartbeat, but he much preferred hunting. He was at home with the excitement of the chase.

It did not take him long to catch the scent of rabbits on the hunt for their own food. His large frame slowed and his eerily silent approach gained him quite some distance on the little furry beasts. His incredible stealth had been a necessity since he lacked the speed of smaller wolves. With a burst of what served for speed for him, he soon had the fattest slowest rabbit between his jaws. With a quick snap, he broke it's back and headed back towards the others.

He lay the rabbit on the ground near the injured wolf, but out of the way, to make sure not to interfere the ongoing treatment. Then he stepped back and waited to see if there was more that he could do to help. He was content being in the background for now and watching the experts do their thing.

Passing Through - Shadowstorm - Jul 06, 2012

Shadowstorm oddly trusted the wolves. She obeyed his command and ate the herbs, knowing that pain would come when she could feel her leg again. I could survive this, I can beat this. They say they're doing what they think is right and that they're not going to kill me. I haven't failed yet, they remind me so much of Follko. I always knew that he was an agemate, and a nice, intelligent wolf. Maybe these wolves are the same, father, guide me. I'm lost without your guidance. Without your intelligence. Storm, brother, I need you. Mother, please, help me. Her thoughts became clear, her family was dead, but she begged them and other wolf spirits for guidance. But it was like her mind stymie their comments. Of course no answer, why would there be an answer? She saw the rabbit, "Thank you." she said eating it and savoring eat bite, cleaning her muzzle when she was done.

She felt the slightest pain in her leg. Please don't hurt more. she begged her leg in her thoughts. Her mind was racing, twirling, and jumbling together all at once with the thoughts it made her head hurt. "I know." she finally responded to the wolf who had informed her that they were not going to kill her. "You wouldn't help me if you were just going to kill me." she turned to the wolf who was healing her, "Thank you, but you don't have to do this, right thing or not, I'm ready to die. I'm ready to be reunited with my family."

The golden female was happy to see that her pack mates were following her directions. It wasn’t that common for higher pack members to listen to someone bellow them, but her friends knew that this was important and they respected her choice. She was proud of young Kashikoi the most though. . .he remained calm through all of the chaos that was going on and he remained sane through this. . .to say that she wasn’t impressed was a complete white lie. The black girl’s paw was done though. . .the job was done. She had eaten and been healed by her paws, now she just needed to rest.

With a small regretful sigh she turned to her friends and muttered, "It is done. . .but she needs somewhere to stay. Should we call Ruiko?"

She knew it was a requirement for the female to stay under the healer’s eyes, for she was injured quite badly. Her broken leg was not going to heal well if she went off by herself, and Nina had to try extra hard to ignore the girl as she rambled. She wasn’t going to die, obviously. She was no longer bleeding, and her injury was covered in a thick layer of herbs, now she just needed some rest and about a week under the pack’s roof and her leg would be healed free. . .that was. . .if she didn’t overwork herself as one certain female had been doing.

Ever since Nina had been back she had been continuously working, not giving her leg anytime to heal, and now she could no longer run around with the pain. No more glorious swimming the creek or nice runs and hunts with pack mates, she was stuck to walking, unless absolutely necessary. She begged her friends with her eye though. The female needed this protection and healing. She didn’t want another to end up with the same fate as herself and under her own paws.

Passing Through - Kashikoi - Jul 10, 2012

The young wolf sighed a bit exasperated by the stranger. Was she ever going to stop rambling on about dying? It was clear that her family had died. It was hard for Kashi to picture what life was like for her after loosing them. He never had a good birth family yet he had found one with the creek wolves. He stared down at the female. "If you keep asking for death someone will end up granting it. Nina never asked for death and yet her brother tried to kill her, so I suggest you stop bringing up the subject." He hoped with that the ignorant stranger would watch her words a little more closely then before now.

He looked over at Nina, she was right, with the leg in this condition it needed time to heal. "I agree, Sloane will you give a howl to call Ruiko?" He looked over at the larger male imploringly before turning back to the female. "The pack leader will be headed here soon so don't try your tricks and be polite and no talk of death either, got it?" As long as the female was respectable she shouldn't have a hard time being accepted into the pack.

Passing Through - Sloane - Jul 11, 2012

It was strange, watching the female who had started out so cocky and arrogant now go on about dying. At least she now seemed to appreciate the help that she was getting from them. Had it been other wolves than the three of them, her fate may not have gone so well. Nina said that she'd done all that she could do right now and that the fae just needed time and rest. Two things not readily found in the life of a loner. Especially one as badly injured as her. She would not be able to hunt, just as Nina could not. At least nothing substantial... a few field mice would never sustain a wolf. Kashi agreed with Nina and requested that he call for Ruiko, before instructing the black female on how she should and should not behave with their leader.

He was a little surprised at the request, but did not hesitate. Lifting his head towards the sky, Sloane let out a strong sure call, requesting that the leader join them on the border. Then he let out a second, just to be sure that Ruiko had a clear idea of their location. It looked as if he would finally get to meet Lady Aeylen's mate and his other leader. He looked forward to it and hoped that the pair had been satisfied with his performance to this point in the pack. Then he returned his attention to the other three, before stepping slightly away to get a better vantage point for guarding the group before him, keeping keen eyes out for any other trouble that might come to complicate an already complicated situation.

Passing Through - Shadowstorm - Jul 14, 2012

Hearing the young wolves words, the words of someone nearly being killed made her finally shut up. She didn't want to make the wolf upset after healing her leg from it's state. Although she didn't understand the severity of the situation, she understood. “Alright, no talk of death when you leader arrives. But what tricks?” She agreed after giving it thought. I guess I wont' die then, I see no use I could be to the pack with my leg, but if I am to stay with them, I must help in every way I can. What did the wolf mean by tricks? I don't pull tricks.

She thought and thought as she tried to stand up, her leg was still too weak to stand though so she fell back down anyways. She curled up around her leg and waited, reflecting on the almost non-existent chance her brother was alive. What if he was? What would she do? He probably doesn't even remember the small fae. He probably is living a rich, lone wolf life, away from Wildwood possibly. He wouldn't search for her.

I never saw the wolves kill him, perhaps he IS alive after all. The words of wonder stuck her like a lightning bolt. A breakthrough, her brother may be alive. Alive and well.I must sneak away, leave as soon as I can. I must find him. “So why do I need to stay? My life must continue on and I must continue. AWAY from here. Not deeper into your teritory, I'm doing something important.” she commented.

Passing Through - Ruiko - Jul 15, 2012

Lounging among the grasses not far from the water with his young, the male’s ears perked forward at the beckoning call. There was a minute pause as his eyes glanced to Aeylen, who’s nod of silence was the approval he sought before he rose to his paws. With a swift kiss to the three cubs, he promised a rumbled a promise of quick return before the large male began to lope off in the direction the song had come from, curious as to the reason behind it.

The voice had been unfamiliar to him, but the scent of a new male seemed the logical reason for that. Still, Ruiko was not one for assumptions, and as he emerged through the foliage of their home, the wolf rose to his full impressive height, his tail lashing heavily before arching high, his muzzle lifting.

His gaze took in the gathered wolves. Nina, Kashikoi and the unknown male stood before him.. and Ruiko held back a sigh as he realized his medic had once more taken in a ‘stray’ injured wolf. “Who might this be?” His words were not welcoming, nor were they harsh. His muzzle gave a nod to the dark she-wolf, indicating he meant her, and his eyes fixated upon her, wondering how he had become the Leader to a pack of martyr’s. Not long ago, the tawny wolf would not have hesitated in running the stranger off – with three hungry mouths to feed, the last thing the pack needed was an injured wolf to suck up their resources. It seemed his family had brought out a softer side to him, however, and instead, the regal Tainn awaited an explanation.

Talk of death was bringing sadness into the young female’s brain. Flashes of her brother assaulting her ran through her mind and she winced her head turning away from the small group. Her ears twitched back though, just to make sure that everything was running smoothly. The last words she heard out of the older female’s mouth made the young healer turn. Her eyes were blazing furiously, tail lashing, and head held high. A threatening growl escaped her maw, "Can‘t you just be thankful for what we are doing for you and shut up!"

After her own words were said, the scent of a dominating Ruiko flooded the area, and Nina’s head lowered once more, stepping back from the scene. This was no longer her fight. It was the matter of Shadowstorm’s own well being. It was no longer her place to speak, but if need be, she would give the status report to her leader. It was her superiors place to do their job now. She was the healer here, taking in yet another refugee. It would be disappointing for her to have another embarrassing moment with her male leader. She didn’t want to dishearten Ruiko once again. . .

Passing Through - Kashikoi - Jul 17, 2012

Kashikoi nodding in thanks to Sloane as he followed his requisition to call upon Ruikoi. But this temperament soon changed as the more and more moronic female spoke yet again. "You have to stay because you can't properly walk, Unless you would like us to leave you to a slow and painful death." He looked over at Nina as he added onto what he said. "I agree, If you shut up for a moment we can find out what to do with you." What was it with this female that she didn't understand that she might not run again? He figured Ruiko wouldn't be happy about letting a lamed wolf into the pack when the food was needed for the leaders and their pups. It just didn't seem right to leave the female to die a slow and agonizing death.

It wasn't long before Ruiko's strong scent filled the area demanding obedience. He could only hope that the female would have some show of manners. as the Regal male walked up to them Kashikoi lowered himself down before his leader to show respect for him. He was after all the wolf that had granted him the right to live and not to starve. Even as a healer Kashi would obey him if the male said to leave the female to die. He may of made a mistake with Ash even if only Nina knew about it, but he would not let that happen again.
