One of Those Nights - Athena - Mar 10, 2013 For @Ace <3 [dohtml] With the starry sky above her, the strong woman raced her way across the damp ground. Salmon tongue rolling out of her mouth as her lithe legs started to burn in protest. It’s been so long since she’s really felt free, free enough to run like the wind. It felt good. It felt amazing, actually. To run without any fear. To feel free once again. Athena needed this. Pushing her legs further and further until her legs couldn’t take it anymore, she released a howl of laughter and began to summersault her way to a stop. Once her rolling body came to a stop on her back, her fiery eyes gazed up at the starry sky, her front legs curled up against her chest while her back legs sprawled out straight. The cool grass underneath her hot flesh felt good and slowly began to cool her down. Tonight was beautiful and it was a shame that Athena was spending it alone. Her family has been an unstable one. There was always someone leaving and someone coming in. It was hard to figure out who to trust and who to trust enough to love. The White Queen’s trust was hard to gain and even harder to get back once you lost it. Life was cruel, but Athena prevailed. RE: One of Those Nights - Ace - Mar 10, 2013 [dohtml] It was a cool night, with soft breezes tugging at his fur and no clouds in the sky for miles around. Ace looked up at the starry skies. He had always been fascinated by them. With they way they shine, and how they reminded him of his dear sister. She had always been the energetic one of the two, always seeing the bright side of things. While he had seen the logical way of everything. Smiling to himself, he padded onwards through the large expanse of wildflowers. It was then that he heard a howl. But it wasn't sad, or lonely. It was happy. He redirected his course towards the origin of the howl. It had sounded like the wolf was having fun, but doing what? He lengthened his stride and eventually saw a white shape not too far ahead. As he got closer, the shape looked like a wolf. Was this the wolf that had howled? Well, he'd go and find out. His curiosity always git the better of him, and he had ti sate it. It was possible that he could make a new friend. But only ff the wolf was friendly, that is. When Ace came upon the white wolf, he stood a few metres off to it's right in case if it decided to attack him. He looked at the wolf closely, and realized that it was a female. Giving a smile and a few shakes of his thick brush, the grey male introduced himself to the white fae. "Hello, there! My name is Ace Caravello. May I ask what yours is?" [/dohtml] RE: One of Those Nights - Athena - Mar 11, 2013 [dohtml] A deep voice broke her trace with the starry sky and with the turn of her head she gazed at the male that stood a little ways away from her, upside down. A loopy grin crossed her face as her playful mood took hold of her. The man seemed polite and his posture wasn’t suspicious, so she didn’t feel quite threatened. Stretching her muscular legs out towards the side and releasing a big yawn, she turned to lie on her side. “No, you cannot,” she mused, the silly grin still on her face, showing the male that she wasn’t being serious. Lifting herself up on all fours, she faced Ace fully, her fiery eyes meeting his grey ones. The flame that was lit inside her, burned with joy. Bowing playfully, she grinned childishly at him. “I am a fierce warrior,” she stated boldly at him, her head rose regally like that her fairytale position would do. Athena held a playful glint in her eyes, one that was unusual at times. “And you are?” She inquired her stance proud and regal. The laughter that she desperately held inside her chest kept trying to force its way out, but Athena stifled it. RE: One of Those Nights - Ace - Mar 11, 2013 [dohtml] Ace watched as the white fae rolled to her side, and gave him a grin. He couldn't help but smile at the fae's reply to his question. She seemed like a wolf that would be able to have fun, no matter what. But, then again, you can't judge a book by its cover. She could just be pretending, but he felt that she wasn't. The grey male was almost startled when the fae rose suddenylu to her paws and looked into his grey eyes with her fiery amber ones. As he studied her, he saw that her face and muzzle were elegantly shaped and that her fur was untouched by any colour, except for white. He also saw that she had three tiny scars underneath her left eye. I wonder where she got those.... He thought to himself, with a thoughtful expression on his face. When the fae bowed playfully and grinned up at him, he gave multiple shakes with his thick brush before bowing too. The grey male had had no fun for a very long time, and this was now a time for him to have fun. At her next words, "I am a fierce warrior," he grinned at her. Ace watched as she held a playful look in her eyes and positioned her stance to a more proud and regal one. When the white fae inquired who he was, he thought for a few moments before replying with confidence. "If you must know, I am a noble knight." Which was true. He always kept his promises, and never did anything unhonourable. He scanned his eyes over the white fae. She was a very beautiful wolf, more so than the last fae he had met, who had had cbrown and cream fur with chocolate coliured eyes. But the fae in front of him had white fur was clear of any blemishes and her body had an elegant look to it. Ace stared into her fiery amber eyes, and felt like he couldn't look away. He had never seen a colour like that before, and was instantly mesmerised by her eyes. [/dohtml] RE: One of Those Nights - Athena - Mar 11, 2013 [dohtml] The grey man soon mimicked her playful bow and her grin grew larger. So he was going to play along. His deep voice answered her question and inwardly she smiled, but her façade was unmoved. Only her eyes showed her true emotions. That’s how they’ve always been, whether she was angry or happy, her eyes always portrayed how she felt. And so it was the same today, her eyes shined with happiness and joy. Keeping her straight face on, she began to prowl in a circle around him. “A knight, huh? I’ll be the judge of that,” she mused, before she bowed down playfully once more, the glint in her eye shining as bright as the moon above them. As she lunged towards him, she acted as if she was aiming for his legs, but at the last second she refocused to the back of his neck. If she succeeded, she’d grab the back of his neck momentarily before flipping over his back and back onto the ground. As she felt the air beneath her, she released a glorious fit of laughter, letting him know that she meant no true harm. This was all play and she’d hate to see him take all this the wrong way. RE: One of Those Nights - Ace - Mar 11, 2013 [dohtml] Ace felt as if he could lose himself in those amber eyes. But when the white fae moved, he broke out of his daydream and blinked rapidly as he saw where she had gone. She was prowling in a circle around him. He constantly spun around to keep her in his line of sight. The grey male had a large grin on his face, and when the fae bowed again, he cocked his head slightly to the left and gave multiple shakes of his thick brush. There was only a few moments for him to think about what she was doing before she lunged at him, laughing. Ace saw that she was aiming for his legs and was about to jump up above her when she redirected her course and went for his neck. He felt her grab onto the back of his neck lightly and then flip over his back to land on his other side. He laughed as he spun around to face her, the grey male hadn't had this much fun in what seemed like forever. He looked directly at the white fae, before making a feint to the right, as if he was going to lunge for her flank. But he stopped at the last possible moment before going for her left shoulder. If the grey male succeeded, he would gently bowl her over as to not hurt the fae before hopping backwards out of her reach. Ace had a large grin plastered on his face and gave a bark of joy. He had only had this much fun with his sister, and that had been long, long ago. But for now, he would have fun as much fun as he could with the beautiful white fae. [/dohtml] RE: One of Those Nights - Athena - Mar 11, 2013 [dohtml] Her maneuver worked as she felt the flesh and fur between her teeth and soon after she felt his body underneath her as she flipped over him and landed gracefully onto the snowy ground. Bounding a few strides away from him, she stopped to face him, the grin on her face larger than ever. Staring into his piercing grey eyes, she watched his every move. It didn’t take him long to make his move and it seemed that he was aiming for her flank. Readying herself to move out of his at the last minute, she didn’t notice his redirection to her shoulder. Taken by surprise, she was barreled over by the large Ace, but her landing was softened by the snow. Before she could get a grasp on him, he was quickly out her reach and she began to whine softly like she was hurt. She turned to lie on her stomach and she began to nurse her “wound” until she could hear him coming closer. Once he was close enough, she’d leap out and bear hug his neck and try to take him down that way. Licking her front paw and releasing a few more pitiful whines for the show, she looked over at him with saddened eyes to add to it. Her eyes looked convincing, so there was no way he couldn’t fall for it, but you can never judge a book by its cover. RE: One of Those Nights - Ace - Mar 11, 2013 [dohtml] Ace succeeded in his playful attack when he felt the white fae fall on the soft ground. He bounded backwards, with a large grin on his face. He made sure that he was out of reach of her, and waited for her to make the next move. He watched as she turned to lie on her stomach, and gave another joyful bark. But when the fae began to whine and lick her front paw, the grin dropped from his face and he lowered his tail so it was on the ground. Was the white fae hurt? The fae looked at him with sad eyes and a pained expression, so he hurried toward the female. "Are you alright?" The grey male asked worriedly. Hopefully he hadn't hurt the female too badly, for he was a gentle wolf. He just couldn't help but be too forceful because of his size and strength. But he really didn't mean any harm. Ace was surprised by her next move as the white fae jumped to her feet and leaped at him, enveloping him in a bear hug around his neck. He was too shocked from her sudden movement and couldn't have move out of the way fast enough anyway. He couldn't believe that he had fallen for her trick. Smiling to himself, he shook his head at his own foolishness. And when the fae wrapped herself around his neck, Ace staggered slightly under her weight. He tried to shake the fae off before getting an idea. Grinning to himself, he made a groaning noise as if the fae was too heavy for him to handle and fell to the ground with her above him. He wiggled around, as if trying to dislodge her, before sighing and stopping his struggles. "Alright fierce warrior, you win." He said, laughing. Ace could easily get out from under her, as she didn't weigh too much, and he had lots of strength from his traveling. But he lay still for about a minute, wagging his tail with a large grin on his face. Letting the white fae savour her so-called-victory while it lasted. And then suddenly, Ace sprang upwards, dislodging the white fae. He moved a few steps away from her, With a large grin on his face. If she thought that she could get him down using that tactic, she was correct. But he could always counter-attack. Laughing, he moved from one foot to the other, daring the white fae to come closer. [/dohtml] RE: One of Those Nights - Athena - Mar 11, 2013 [dohtml] As she lay there playing out her act, occasionally adding another whine or to, she heard Ace’s worried voice asking if she was alright. Oh, she was okay, alright. She was more than okay. He fell into her trap as he began to make his way back to her side. She inwardly grinned and as soon as he was close enough, she launched her attack on him, wrapping her pristine legs around him. It was long before he crumbled underneath her. Knowing full well that he was just faking it, she released a fit of laughter as they landed upon the fluffy snow beneath them. The words that he grumbled made her laughter get worse. Oh what fun she was having and with a complete stranger. With this realization, she reacted shilly-shally towards him. With an embarrassed look on her face, she cleared her throat and began acting how she should have when Ace first came along – a Queen. Standing up straight and regal, she looked at the grey man a hint of a smile still on her face. “I’m Athena, leader of Poison Path. It’s nice to meet you Ace,” the white Queen explained, her fiery eyes still holding the happiness of the moments before. She’s never been that playful with anyone like that before, but it really felt good to let off some steam and enjoy herself. “How long have you been in the Lore,” she inquired, her head cocking to side slightly. This winter marked a year of her living in Relic Lore and many things have happened to her in that long time. Some things, some things bad, but Athena was still here wasn’t she? So, she must have survived whatever Mother Nature has decided to put her through. RE: One of Those Nights - Ace - Mar 11, 2013 [dohtml] Ace laughed as he looked at the white fae. When she gained an embarrassed look and got to her feet, the grey male cocked his to the side. He watched, curious as she stood up straight and regal, with the hint of a smile on her face. Was this a new tactic of hers? But when she spoke, he knew that now was the time for business. At her polite words, “I’m Athena, leader of Poison Path. It’s nice to meet you Ace,” the grey male gave multiple shakes of his thick brush and smiled. So, she was a leader and he would show respect to her. Dipping his head slightly, Ace looked into Athena's fiery amber eyes before speaking. "That's a very beautiful name, Athena." He let her name roll off his tongue. It fit her perfectly. Since Athena told him that she was a leader, that must mean that there was a pack nearby. But he hadn't scented and markings. But perhaps Athena was taking a break from pack life. He knew that it could get very hectic in a pack. When the white fae asked how long he had been in Relic Lore, Ace held a thoughtful look on his face for a few moments before replying. "I have only been in Relic Lore for a few weeks, and haven't discovered many things. But so far, I have only met two other wolves, you are the third." Ace looked at Athena when he finished speaking. Hopefully she wasn't looking for any information on the whereabouts of other packs, for he only knew of one. And that was situated way Northwest of here. "How long have you been here, Athena?" Ace spoke after a few moments of silence. He was curious, being an alpha of a pack certainly meant that she had been here for a while. But you could never be sure unless you ask. Smiling at Athena, he waited patiently while she considered his words. [/dohtml] |
