With the starry sky above her, the strong woman raced her way across the damp ground. Salmon tongue rolling out of her mouth as her lithe legs started to burn in protest. It’s been so long since she’s really felt free, free enough to run like the wind. It felt good. It felt amazing, actually. To run without any fear. To feel free once again. Athena needed this. Pushing her legs further and further until her legs couldn’t take it anymore, she released a howl of laughter and began to summersault her way to a stop.
Once her rolling body came to a stop on her back, her fiery eyes gazed up at the starry sky, her front legs curled up against her chest while her back legs sprawled out straight. The cool grass underneath her hot flesh felt good and slowly began to cool her down. Tonight was beautiful and it was a shame that Athena was spending it alone. Her family has been an unstable one. There was always someone leaving and someone coming in. It was hard to figure out who to trust and who to trust enough to love. The White Queen’s trust was hard to gain and even harder to get back once you lost it. Life was cruel, but Athena prevailed.
