Year in Review
The packs of the Ruins of Wildwood have definitely had quite a whirlwind of a year. In August of 2013, the Pitch Pine Trail pack watched as the women grappled with one another for female leadership. When Shade Slayer acquired injuries from a fight with Elettra Archer, the Leader of Willow Ridge, the pack is further destabilized and is ultimately disbanded. On the other side of the mountain range, when Athena Moon leaves Poison Path to search for her missing daughter Aphrodite, the pack is unable to recover from its lack of leadership and also disbands. For the next few months, several other packs experience shifts in leadership - most notably, among them, was when Hollow Nite stepped up to lead Secret Woodlands and when Maksim Baranski stepped up to take charge of Darkwater Rapids in the face of a terrible flash flood. Despite many of the pack's members being scattered around the territory, several found their way to Maksim. Under his leadership, they relocated to Cedarwood Forest where they renamed themselves as the Cut Rock River pack. When Narime Lagina abandoned Whisper Caverns to travel, Minka Leigh took over and asserted herself as leader by forming an alliance with the newly formed Cut Rock River pack.
As winter approached, the prey in Relic Lore became increasingly scarce. Hostility between the packs grew as they competed for food. Kisla Tainn left Oak Tree Bend in search of food, but was injured while crossing Serpent's Pass. She was eventually found by Maksim and taken back to Cut Rock River. Further north, an impending blizzard forced the wolves of Nomad's Pass to abandon their territory in order to escape; and, after several weeks in the harsh weather, they finally settled within the Ghastly Woods and renamed themselves Hollowheart Keep.
The harsh winter claimed the lives of several wolves in Relic Lore. Among them are Semananti, Narcissa, and Skana of Willow Ridge; Phineas and Borlla's son Kyros; and Corinna, the long time leader of Oak Tree Bend. Despite the death of their leader, the wolves of Oak Tree Ben were able to rally behind Triell and survive the winter.
Come spring, and breeding season, tensions rose up in Whisper Caverns. Minka and Tokino made plans to leave and start their own pack, and attempted to take several Whisper Caverns members with them. Ash, the male Leader, openly challenged Minka and attempted to dethrone her from her spot as Leader. He succeeded and, soon after, Minka and Tokino left and established themselves as the Black Thorn Downs pack, situated in the Blackberry Fields of Northern Eden. All throughout Relic Lore, despite the brutal winter, several couples came together during breeding season, resulting in a record high of 25 pups birthed within Relic Lore.
As summer approached, all of Relic Lore's packs welcomed new pups, causing parents of all walks of life to become increasingly protective, worrisome, and ever vigilant over their lands. Relations between Willow Ridge and Hollowheart Keep were put at risk as Willow Ridge pup Deacon goes missing and was picked up by Hollowheart Keep member Myrrhis. As a result, Myrrhis was exiled by both Naira and Mapplethorpe, who were all too aware that if Deacon Archer was not quickly returned to his family, their pack would be at risk to impending attacks from the wolves of Willow Ridge.
The prey has returned to Relic Lore, but tensions continue to run high both within packs and between them. Animosity remains between Willow Ridge and Black Thorn Downs, and relations between Willow Ridge and Hollowheart Keep could easily turn sour.

- 2014 was the first year in RoW history where characters (Corinna, Indru, Borden, Jayseyek, Naira, & Rhysis) became grandparents.
- When RoW first opened, we had 2 packs. In 4 years, we have had a total of 16 packs created. Naira has founded 3 of those 16.
- Phineas Argyris is the connecting link between the Tainn, Arygris, and Lagina families.
- There are currently 4 Scouts, 3 Guardians, 2 Hunters, 2 Healers, and 1 Herbalists titled in RoW.
- Since December 2013, we have sent over 300,000 chat messages in our chat box.
- We have made a total of 9,429 In Character Posts since July 29, 2013.
- We have made a total of 1,012 In Character Threads since July 29, 2013.
- We have made a total of 9,027 Out of Character Posts since July 29, 2013.
- We have made a total of 1,107 Out of Character Threads since July 29, 2013.
- Since July 29, 2013, 139 new characters have joined the game.

- Since it's inception, there have been 16 fights using the fight system.
- In the last year, we have created 115 Random Event threads.
- Despite the harsh winter, the SoW account made 497 food cache drops in the last year.
