Urgency - Inali - Jul 04, 2013

Wow, this is long overduexD @Elettra @Guiness Based right after this. 6/03/2013

[dohtml]

Paws thumping, heart racing, and a small smile. That described Inali perfectly in that very moment. It hadn't taken long for her to exit the tall grasses of Hush Meadows and to enter her old home of Drooping Willows. About maybe 30-40 minutes on the brisk run that she had paced herself in.

She was glad that it hadn't taken that long because she wanted to get those herbs for Narimé as fast as she could, and get them back to her sick alpha. Slowing herself to a jog, the petite woman raised her muzzle to the air. She could tell she was getting close to Willow Ridge borders by the various scents she was taking in. Her happy demeanor changed in a matter of seconds. You could still see the friendly warmth in her eyes, but her body language had a serious, urgent tone to it.

Finally reaching the borders of the pack where Lady Elettra resided in, Inali lifted her brown head to the air. I come from Whisper Caverns, and it is urgent that I meet with Lady Elettra. It was short and to the point, but it got the message through. After letting loose the howl, the young woman started pacing back and forth, hoping someone would answer her soon. Either by a physical presence or another howl.

As Inali paced, the young woman tried to remember the exact symptoms Narimé had given her so she could tell Lady Elettra. Okay, lets see. It was stomach pain in her lower abdomen...frequent nausea and retching..bloody stool...and a decrease in weight. I think there was something else..oh! She said she had been getting dizzy. Okay, got it. Glad that she had all the exact symptoms memorized, the young woman continued to wait and pace.

RE: Urgency - Guiness - Jul 04, 2013

[dohtml]

The Head Guardian had been patrolling the east side of the borders when a call had come from the west. It was a call for his lady, which made him uneasy, as the pups had just been recently born and it worried him that someone would be calling her…along with the fact that it was something urgent about Whisper Caverns, his brother’s pack. Worry easily chilled its way into his bones. Pulling himself forward and marking the borders one last time, the russet man started his way towards where the call had resonated. He hoped that everything was alright in the pack, and he hoped that no harm had come to Sloane or his pups. His mind also crossed over to Narimé on his way there. It was of his knowledge that she had been a faithful member to Willow Ridge. Guiness and the gray woman had been close friends in her time at the Ridge, even if she had talked nonstop.

When he arrived, his golden amber eyes rested on the woman in front of him, smaller inside to his considerably large bulk. It was easy to see the resemblance to him and Sloane, as they were complete look-a-likes, saving some of the Guardian’s black hues in his coat and his bigger size. Looking upon the woman in front of him, he raised his tail high above his back in dominance, though not really carrying for it at the moment, did it out of habit. The worry, however, was evident in his eyes and it seemed to ask why she had called for his Lady, and why she was here. If something bad had happened to his family, he hoped El would be alright with him going to check on someone if something was amiss.

The young woman had calmed down some of her nerves by the time the russet wolf had appeared in her line of vision. She hadn't talked to her alpha personally, but she had gotten a good look at him and judging by this man's resemblance to him, he was related to Sloane. Or he was a freakishly good look-a-like that wasnt related to her male alpha.

Although, she was leaning more onto the they-were-relatives side. He displayed dominance over her and since she wasnt in her territory, she couldn't do anything about it. She noticed the worry in his eyes, and in respect for him and his territory Inali quickly bowed low in submission, her tail curling under her belly. Standing up once again on all four legs, she informed the wolf, "I am Inali, Scout of Whisper Caverns. I can see you are worrying and clearly you are somehow related to Sloane, possibly brothers. There is nothing wrong with him or the pups, thank the Fates. But there is something wrong with Narimé."

Even though the wolf was clearly related and close to his brother, Inali didnt know how close he was to Narimé. She didnt know how much information to tell him, so she decided to go with the abbreviated version that would satisfy an acquaintance or a close friend. "She's had some type of bug ever since she was pregnant. And even though the pups are close to a month old by now, the bug is still there. And that is why I need to speak with Lady Elettra. If it isn't too much trouble, could you take me to her please?" Even though she had just met this wolf, it didnt mean that she had to forget her manners. Sending the large man a small, warm smile, she awaited his answer.

RE: Urgency - Elettra - Jul 10, 2013

[dohtml]
"Oh, there will be no need for that." The voice cut the air as she moved, her body propelling with her same delicate sway of well-rounded hips upon long, lean limbs. The woman moved easy through the sparse forestry of her willow canopy which stretched the length of the lagoon's water edges and fading out to the foothills of the mountains. Her territory lay more towards the eastern edge, proving plenty of room between their neighboring pack. Life for them had grown easier, too, with the Swift River wolves gone (and unknowingly the Cedar wolves) providing plenty more hunting grounds to the north, then their former options only to the south. The packs thus far had some interaction amongst each other, mostly in passing or hunters in their roaming, though the alliance between the two packs was becoming more and more obvious through action even if it had not officially been stated verbally through Leaders as it had with Secret Woodlands who lived far in the north and out of common spoken reach.

Eying Inali, the small and swift looking Scout, Elettra was able to hear the last bit of her words as she had arrived, mentioning being ill since pregnancy and still feeling the symptoms. The Archer Matriarch could obviously sum this up to Narime, still through her bout of illness since her first litter of pups and at such an obvious young age, only directly out of her youth. It was the first time Elettra had pups and she remembered it had not been easy for her, ether, in any manner possible.... Moving now so that she stood close to her side of her Second male (who might as well be Leader since there was currently none) she breaths in deep with her now full arrival amongst their presence, taking the conversation into her own paws with a knowledge that Guiness was all action, no talk. "Has no one within your ranks yet treated her?" Elettra moves straight to business, without a need for introducing herself, granted she was already known by name with the woman specifically being sent here for her. However, let it be that the woman may speak her own name as she wished, but Elettra was all about addressing the matter and quickly. "Follow me." She left little room for explanation as she turned and moved, hoping that both would follow suit in her brisk trot, edging along the borderline of her territory. Though the hollowed out den within the main pack's den was originally known as 'The Infirmary', holding herbs and laid out in pelts for those who were sick amongst the pack, for the time being it was being used as a 'Nursery'. Elettra had no intention of leading this woman there, but instead taking her to the edge of her territory at the other end - far to the east at the foothills of the mountains. It was within this region the 'Storage/Emergency den' was founded by Kiche. Originally for storing herbs as back up since the first flooding in the main pack den had nearly washed away all their herbs, it now was for emergency purposes for the pack wolves to go to should such things like flooding, or even predators, threaten their main den area. As of now, whenever Elettra had time for herself, it was here she brought her herbs so the children would not get interested in destroying them whilst she was not around to correct them.

RE: Urgency - Inali - Jul 10, 2013

Sorry for the slight PP Ver, tell me if you want me to change anything:)

[dohtml]

"Oh, there will be no need for that."

The voice that grabbed the young fae's attention was none other than Lady Elettra herself. She carried a powerful and graceful aura around her persona, and Inali knew immediately this was the woman that her own alpha respected so much. With a respectful nod, she greeted, "Lady Elettra."

The woman quickly skipped the courtesy and went straight to business. She asked if anyone had treated Narimé, and before Inali could answer, Lady Elettra spoke once again. It was an order leaving no objection, which Inali quickly obeyed. Falling naturally into a brisk trot of her own, the young woman easily kept pace with the Lady of Willow Ridge, not looking back if the large Guardian was following them.

Her paws thumped against the earth as they made their way to wherever Lady Elettra was leading them. Inali spoke briefly, her tone serious. "No one in the pack has treated Narimé. As far as my knowledge goes, I am the only one that knows of how serious her condition really is." She didn't want to say anymore until they reached their ultimate location, where hopefully Elettra would be at the peak of concentration and focus.

They finally reached a den, near the foothills of the mountain in the east. Lifting her muzzle to the air, Inali could smell the different scents of the many herbs. Hopefully some of these would cure her alpha of whatever illness that plagued her.

Waiting for Lady Elettra to enter the den, Inali quickly followed. As the young Scout entered, the scents of the various herbs hit her full force. Some smelled nice, others smelled outright disgusting, making her crinkle her nose in slight dissatisfaction. Clearing her throat, Inali went straight to business like Lady Elettra had done previously. "Nari's exact symptoms are that she has stomach pain in her lower abdomen, frequent nausea and retching, bloody stool, dizziness, and a decrease in weight. She can't keep her food down for nothing." Inali's blue gaze stared into Elettra's gray orbs, showing the immense worry that she had for the woman that was not only her alpha, but also her friend.

RE: Urgency - Guiness - Jul 11, 2013

His worried expression did not wavier as he listened to the words spoken by Inali. Apparently everything was not going smoothly for Whisper Cavern wolves. The fact that it was his brother’s mate did not help with the case either. He wanted to make sure that his family, even if they weren’t in his pack, would be alright. Nodding his head in agreement, he remained silent as Elettra’s voice rang clear from behind her. His lady always moved and spoke with such confidence; it was hard not to notice. The Guard was glad knowing that his alpha was allowing this new woman into their territory to help out a former Whisper Caverns member. He was sure if it would have been Rosealia or Shade the roles would not be so similar. Mentioning for Inali to step forward and continue on in front of him, he contently walked behind both El and the Cavern’s Scout.

Trying desperately to pass the time by, Gui listened to the conversation that passed between the two women in front of him. Apparently Narimé had not told anyone about her problem, leaving the large tank in a slight daze as he followed the two. It made no sense to him as to why the other alphess was not allowing her to be treated. Had she even let Sloane know how major her situation was? Flicking his tail behind him in slight aggravation, he pushed on, coming to a realization. Perhaps Whisper Caverns had not obtained a Healer that some of the other packs had so gratefully had. It could be a reason as to why the woman was now here asking for Willow Ridge’s help. He did not mind trying to help, but he stopped when he needed to and continued to listen on to see if El knew what was going on with his friend. Hopefully, If El would understand, and then he would be able to get a quick visit to Narimé and see how she was doing in a few weeks to come. It did not help his stress level though. It would not go down until he was sure his mate’s lover was alright.

RE: Urgency - Elettra - Jul 11, 2013

[dohtml]
The young woman at her side is swift, her long and lean petite figure keeping up with Elettra easily, likely a woman who could take her in a race any day. Semananti had been her Scout until recently due to family matters which needed serious attention, though even her former Scout had no been so slim-cut as to move this fast with information. But Elettra already missed her former member, who held the endurance she needed for long travel and a scavenger to boot on her travels which made more for the members back home. A sigh touching Elettra's lips as she moved, she listens to the younger woman's explanation that none had treated her and the pack was unaware of the severity of her condition. Elettra was lucky and praised the gods for her own health and lack of injury as of late. The last time she had been hurt was a sprained ankle in a hunt and Elettra would remedy herself should any signs of illness arise to full potential. Elettra was left to wonder if any Medic was within their ranks, as well as Secret Woodlands in the far north. Their location high up proved straining, taking days to deliver information to their two allies if they were in need, unlike the Caverns and Ridge, which both lied within the Southern Eden.
Now moving along the length of rock and jumping onto the low hanging platform where the cave rest, she slipped into the slim, high cut opening on the cave - a rounded room and not much more, smaller then the pack's Main Den though with plenty of room yet still to it's purpose. The are smelt freshly of herbs, all which were still of good use granted she had only recently started on her supply for the year. Elettra had much a late start to finding herbs due to her pregnancy and then after that, her birthing. The Ridge wolves would have been supplied far greater with options had Kyrie not abandoned them. A sour taste in the woman's mouth, who cared deeply for the small, polite pale woman who had left them months and months ago. Next year, should she have a litter, she would make certain that she could travel in her early stages of pregnancy and just bring a 'guard' with her so that the collection would be less lacking as it was now....

"The lack of weight and dizziness ties directly in the lack of food in her system. The puking due to the pain in her stomach...If we can threat those two things, the other symptoms should ease..." She speaks this aloud for the woman to hear, but mostly mimics this to herself as she moves her paws shuffling through her collection, nose low, sniffing out each and every plant to make sure she was going to grab exactly what she was looking for. She had been doing this for years, since six months of her youth. Once training in the art of battle begun as it did for all members within the ranks, her mother took it upon herself to teach her daughter to heal herself and her brothers when she and they were injured on the field. "Wild Ginger...." She speaks, picking up the root and settling it before Inali. "Chewing on its roots help treat digestive disorders and disgruntled stomachs." Now moving back to her collection, her nose scoots around until she finds yet another plant of interest, taken as a whole straight from the root itself. "Thyme is a hardy plant and if you bury these roots it should flourish again for your own supply. This will promote digestion for whatever she can get down to pass quickly. Have her chew these leaves and wait a few hours for it to take before she tries eating again. ...Alas is Camomile..." She speaks the name as she lifts a small cluster of stems, fitting with small white flowers with a yellow center. This she places before the Cavern wolf's paws as she had done the single ginger root and thyme plant. "It is a master of it's class and assign her to take this firstly before the others. It treats a number of different problems within when eating the flowers...." It helped cure gastric ulcers, gastritis, colic, intestinal spasms, diverticulitis and the like, all of which no simple wolf could possibly know by name, well trained or not. "It will also help her rest, too, but not to use when pregnant as it could cause miscarriage." She speaks with fair warning, should they use this remedy within the future beyond this current illness.
Now with little more to offer for her allied pack and the woman seeking it, Elettra turns her attention towards Guiness who had sat silently all the while in patience, as per his usual self. "Semananti is gone, which means we lack an official Scout. While I could easily send Angier on this, since you are directly tied to the Leaders, I would like for you to travel to Whisper Caverns in a few weeks with new supply and to see how Narime is fairing." Though Angier was a 'jack of all trades' and easily did hunting, border patrol, teaching the pups and could surely send word, Elettra knew Guiness was brother to Sloane and would likely want to know how things were going himself. Not to mention, see his brother again.

I just noticed that if we get 2 more posts in, were eligible for the points. So if you guys want, you guys can post your exit posts:p

[dohtml]

Inali's ears pricked forwards, intently listening to Elettra's words. The leader of Willow Ridge explained that the lack of weight, and dizziness were tied directly to the lack of nourishment that Narimé was consuming. She went on to say that, if they could tackle those two problems, then the other symptoms should gradually decrease.

The young fae nodded, showing that she was listening. Her blue eyes were trained onto Elettra as the woman walked around the den, sniffing each and every plant. Elettra picked up a whitish-greenish looking root, and placed it in front of her. Wild Ginger, she learned. Chewing on it's root would help settle disgruntled stomachs, and digestive disorders.

Elettra sniffed around some more, and placed another plant in front of her paws. It was a greenish plant, ripped straight from the roots apparently. Thyme. It was a plant that could be added to their own storage, and Inali made a quick mental side note to inform Simaea of this plant, among with the others. Maybe it would help their novice Healer to understand more of her art.

The sound of Elettra continuing to speak quickly snapped her out of her mental reverie, and made her turn her attention back to the dark woman. Thankfully, she hadn't missed much since the woman was just starting to explain what the plant was helpful for.

Elettra explained that it would promote digestion for whatever Narimé could be able to get down to pass quickly. Nari would need to chew the leaves, and wait a couple of hours for them to take effect before she tried eating again.

The last plant that the Willow woman nudged her way, was Camomile. Elettra lifted a small cluster of stems, topped by small white flowers and yellow centers. That one would have to be taken before the thyme plant and ginger root. According to the experience Healer, it could help many problems inside the body, when the flowers were eaten. The plant would also help Narimé sleep, but Elettra warned that she couldn't use it while pregnant as it could cause a miscarriage. It was a clear warning to be careful with the plant in the future, and Inali nodded silently showing that she would take heed of it.

Inali watched as Elettra spoke to the male Guardian, who hadn't given her his name, and told him that she would need him to visit Narimé in a few weeks to see how condition was. Inali took that as her dismissal, and patiently waited for the woman to finish speaking with her pack mate. As soon as she had, Inali sent a grateful "Thank you," to Lady Elettra. With a last nod of her head to both of the wolves, Inali gently picked up the plants with her jaws. She didn't want to crush them, since they were very important.

Inali ducked out of the den as smoothly as she could. It was a good thing she remembered her way back, since she didn't know the land that she was currently standing in very well. Starting with a slow jog to stretch her legs, the young Scout quickly changed into a brisk run. She wanted to make it home as quick as possible.

{Exit Inali}

RE: Urgency - Guiness - Jul 29, 2013

[dohtml]

Words were passed between the two women that made hardly any sense to the Guardian, which made perfect sense. He had close to no herbal training when he had been growing up and if he had, he surely did not remember any of his studies, which was an oddity for him. He remained vigilant though, not speaking a word and standing in the shadows during the exchange. He needed no words to communicate with his leader, who was all he actually needed to communicate with in the first place. He waited patiently though, watching with curiosity as the woman who had come for help attentively listened to every word spoken by Elettra. At least he knew that Narimé would be in good paws…or so he hoped. When he was addressed, his eyebrows shot up immediately and ears pricked forward, telling El that she had every ounce of his attention. When she finished speaking he was instantly relieved that he would be able to check up on his other family. With a nod in a bow that silently said ’Of course, milaya.’

Flicking his tail, he made his leave out of the den, making it his full intentions to be the shadow following Inali around to make sure she got safely to the borders and out so that she could make her way home. Luckily, there were no interruptions for them and she easily made her way out of Willow Ridge territory. Quickly, Guiness did another round of border checks, making sure to piss over each checkpoint that he got to. Satisfied with himself, he started back towards the den, figuring that he might as well get some time to look over the princess and princes before he took time to catch up on some sleep. Even a tank needed his rest.

Guiness end.

RE: Urgency - Elettra - Jul 31, 2013

[dohtml]
Guiness body perked, using every natural body language of his to show he was listening and at full potential, then agreeing with an equally showing display. Elettra liked the man, a lot, and would grieve (and be extremely enraged) that day, should there be one, he left the pack to move onto something else. He was as natural a wolf then most, needing not words to get his point across. He reminded her of the men of her birth home, where men used action and little words. They were large, gruff, and lacked an overly social aspect with an extremely lawful, dangerous protection over their home. Guiness lacked nothing of these qualities.

Elettra's muzzle dips in reply to Inali's thanks before she dipped out of the small cave, swiftly making her way on a thin and lithe frame. Before Elettra could even jut her muzzle into the retreating woman's direction to signal her Guardian to follow, he was off and after her, trailing behind to watch that she was making way correctly and safely. Though allies, Elettra would not allow the stranger to roam her home unguarded, mainly with youth about and of course, for Inali's own protection. After all, little tolerance within Willow Ridge would be offered to what might have been thought as a trespasser, mainly if Skana or Kasai were to catch her in the act. Satisfied with how this went down, Elettra could only wait for word o Narime's well being in time and, of course, await a returned favor. Perhaps elk would be on the menu! Oh, how Elettra did miss Narime's hunting.
