Fool's Gold Chasm
Year in Review

Note: This pack dispanded in December of 2022, towards the end of the year and thus has it's own yearbook pages. The former members who are now LW, inactive, or deceased are shown here.

The wolves of Fool's Gold Chasm tried hard to put the losses of the previous year behind, but the hits have kept coming regardless. With all but Marrah vanished of Hudson's litter, Saga took her leave to try and track down the boys. Of course, she doesn't come back and neither do the children. Instead, Spring forces the pack to consider a life moved past the initial legacy of the Chasm and while some precious few relationships are strengthened, far too many more are fractured seemingly beyond repair.

Adelard and Woya find the core of their relationship and promise themselves to each other, bringing in a new generation of Macieo's and Gerau's both. Hudson's sister officially takes her place as a leader of the pack at her mate's side, promising to see this newfound family of hers through thick and thin. Rhaegara strives to expand her own little clan, but the birth of her twins costs her life and the pack is sent reeling from the loss. Woya is weakened by bringing into the world her own litter of five, the Lore's first of such a size, but survives thanks to Leviticus' medical care and fosters the orphaned duo with Adelard and Enera's help.

Marrah is unable to cope with the wealth of tragedy, wondering if she is somehow the cause of it all. She takes her leave in the months that follow, saying goodbye only to Enera who stays behind with the Chasm out of reponsibility for her sisters. As the children grow and their reliance diminishes, however, the oldest surviving Rayvne can't help but feel drawn to chase after her best friend. Admitting this to Woya brings about the leader's decision to disband the pack in hopes that time away would be good for them all.

While visiting their Macieo cousins in Sanguine Cove, the news is broken to the children who each react differently. Some take their leave, while some are happy to have an extended stay atop the mountain. When all is said and done, Enera and Sovanya set off on their own with the goal of meeting up with Woya again one day in the future.

Clearly, the Great Drought had taken its toll. Friendly faces such as Isomne, Wrynn, Geminia and Hircine brought the pack some of their few saving graces throughout the year, pitching in despite the lack of familial ties. While some have wandered into the wildnerness once more, the bard Isomne and gentle Wrynn remain in hopes that there is more for them in this land.
