A smug smirk tugged at the corner of Enoki's panting lips as her smoldering amber gaze watched the barreling beast continue forward long after the magpie pelted woman dodged to safety. A little slow in the brain these putrid creatures are. Yet any thoughts of basking in her moment of glory for outmaneuvering the swine was short lived as the bristle haired body wheeled itself around to face the duo of wolves. The glint of something feral glistening in those beady black eyes before a high pitched war cry clawed at the piebald woman's ears. God, did they always have to make such awful noises?!
Ebony lips drew back to reveal a threatening snarl, the skin of her muzzle wrinkling in distate. This thing just wouldn't give up, would it? Narrowing her line of sight upon the charging hog, forelimbs separated briefly in preparation to spring away again, but how long could she keep this game of cat and mouse up? There was no way she could bring down this animal by herself and surely that white coated female wouldn't dare move an inch from her safety zone to help. A growl rumbled within her chest as the thoughts of what to do churned like the undertow of an ocean. She could call for backup, but Enoki highly doubted this wild hog would give her enough time to make such a move if she was kept on her toes constantly just trying to avoid those razor sharp tusk.
Tossing her head over her shoulder quickly toward the marred face woman, a sharp tone of voice called out. "Are you going to help, or just sit there and look pretty?" There was little time to wait for an answer as the corner of her eye caught a flash of brown. Quickly the Timber wolf sprang off to the side like before, sprinting across the expanse of the rise until a safe distance was secured. As swift as she was she couldn't hold this up forever. Eventually she would be depleted of energy and that would easily spell out disaster. Enoki needed help and fast. If the boar was as slow to connect the dots she missed this time as the last, just maybe she could get a howl out in time. It was worth a shot.
Keeping a watchful eye on the quarry, a dark hued skull angled back to release an urgent call to the entirety of the pack informing them that any able bodied wolf would be needed immediately to dispose of this threat to their home. Swiftly she clipped the call short, a silent prayer going up to the skies that somebody, anybody had heard her call. In the mean time it was up to her to deal with this nuisance. Widening her stance to prepare for the next charge that was bound to come, her skull lowered to protect her throat. It was all a waiting game now to see if backup would arrive to help the woman out.
