A low grumble was thrown after his brother's own attempts at flirting, fat lot of good it'd do any of them for her to get down in here too, unless he enjoyed freezing his balls off? He was spared the need to lash out when his brother dunked himself for his sins, another low "What are ya Crash? Yer a dickhead." A perfect imitation of Steevo after stumbling across them mid-antics one time or another. "Fuckin' thanks Captain Obvious, I hadn't fuckin' noticed!" The colder he got the shorter his temper became until his muzzle wrinkled ready to grab his brother by the scruff and hold him under just to stop his bitching.

But a gentle voice brought him back to the more important task at hand, a this way all it took to catch his eye as she cautiously skated away from them. Sodden as he was, he was bound to be closer to a healthy weight than he currently was, but he imagined with the ice so thin lighter would be far better. But there was nothing to be done. Gathering his paws beneath himself he jumped clear of the fragile edge and landed soundly on the groaning surface. It wouldn't take the both of them so he scrambled to get clear before Crash followed, and well, crashed both of them straight back through the ice.

This way, the girl coaxed them, showing the way that would allow them to get out of this cold ass water. This was worse than even when Shazza would spray them down with a hose when they got too muddy from playing in the mud or whatever. A shiver ran down his spine from both the memory and the cold water that he was still in. but they would be out of the water soon enough and they would be able to get dry and warm up.

“Yer the dickhead.” Half heartedly Crash snarled back at his brother, feeling just as frozen and nearly as short tempered as Bash turned to follow the girl to solid ground. Crash had enough of a brain to wait till Bash was on solid ground before scrambling after him, just wanting out. Easily leaping over the edge, because he didn't want to go back into the water, no matter how drowned he already was, Crash instantly shook his coat out as soon as his paws touched solid ground.

Of course, he did not look where he was shaking and sent water everywhere. Water droplets flew everywhere but Crash didn’t care as his fur didn’t weigh him down as much anymore and that’s all he cared about.

She skated towards safety, listening to the two boys argue and smash their way through the ice. Later, when she learned their names, Maia would look back on that moment and think, 'No wonder.' but for now, she just listened to make sure that both of them made it to the edge.  Once they were out she planned on doing a quick check to make sure that neither of them needed anything in the way of medicine, and be gone. Not that she'd had any formal training, but the basics were easy enough, and with the two of them nearly freezing to death she had a feeling that their minds wouldn't be in the right place to help themselves. Little did she know that she'd end up helping them a little bit longer, and then some.

Eventually the crashing stopped, and the blissful sounds of water dripping onto the snow rang in her ears. Maia released of breathy sigh, relieved that they were out of immediate danger before making her way to the two boys. Careful to keep her body low, and her ink-dipped tail tucked neatly between her legs, the fae asked if they were alright. "Are um.. are e-either of yo-you hurt?" It wouldn't be surprising to find that they ice had scraped them here or there.
