There was no disappointment that came to her heart when the male that had come to their borders decided to depart. It was good not to have attachments early on, for in the end it would only end in a pool of hurt, one way or another. When a familiar touch graced the back of her ear and a rush of air pushed some of her fur back, she moved her head so that her muzzle was touching the base of her alpha’s jaw. She was happy that they were there for one another and though the two had both had a rough start, they had both ended up becoming close to one another. Definitely much closer than Jessie would have ever thought that they would be.
After a few moments passed, the man moved away from her and in a silent departure to both her and her sister, she nodded to the white girl before turning on her heel and leaving her to be alone in the forest surrounding them. The connection that Jessie had once felt towards her sister was now at a low zero. She had never had much time to spend with Cali and therefore the younger Swiftpaw had always thrown her body into her work. Thank goodness she had joined a pack in such early time though, for she had developed much since joining Swift River and now Oak Tree Bend. All of the River wolves had come a long way from where they were today and now they deserved a little bit of peace.
