Zahira Asurn
OOC: Just passed midday,

The female had stumped up one the territory with no really idea of where she was, or if she was on the right course. It seemed as if she had wander around the damned lake for days looking for his scent, but all she could managed to pick up were the scent of other wolves. She sighed as she stopped her eyes searching the bank for any signs of paw prints, but nothing seemed to be of any interest to her. She had left the main pack to find her brother, if she had known it would be like getting a good piece of food she would have joined one of the splinters instead. She cursed her own bad luck and her brother's ability to just vanish from the face of the earth, she had managed to follow his scent to this lagoon and then he had lost it. Now she was stuck in a place she had never seen before with no idea if her brother had continued his journey or found what he was looking for. She growled in frustration kicking a stone into the water, why had she even bothered to go look for that fool?

Bending down to get a drink and to gather her thoughts, she needed to get back on track. Perhaps looking around furthered form the lagoon would be a good idea, if her brother had passed by he would ,with any luck, have encountered someone who could set her one the right track. She sighed as she looked back at the water before mowing away from it.

Close. Too close.

Kjell’s ears rolled backwards as he forced air between his clenched teeth in a slow hiss, scenting a wolf’s trail that was most certainly not his companion. That anyone else might be near their newly made home displeased the dragon prince greatly, his tail lashing behind his hocks as he pressed his nose downwards, feet churning the earth beneath him as he trotted in the direction. It was fresh, and the female hadn’t gone terribly far, but that was all the smell could tell him.

It wasn’t until he caught sight of the chestnut coat that he knew the stranger wasn’t massive, nor was she particularly experience – a yearling still had a bit of youth to their appearance, and something in his gut eased ever so slightly as he drew himself up to his full height. All the same, it wasn’t safe for a stranger to be lurking near his doorstep, and the dragon did so loath to think of @Bishop in any sort of harm’s way.

That his nightmare still haunted him was not something he was quite ready to admit.

“Who’re you?” he demanded of the rambling female, tail flagged high above his back as he drew up a dominant posture. That he was a lone wolf himself meant nothing to him – this was where he had made his home, and the fallen prince would be damned if he did not defend it.

Zahira Asurn
Zahira's paws had not carried her fare from her last stop and if she turned to look back she would still be bale to see. She sighed as she stopped for a moment to close her eyes and take a deep breath, only to be disturbed by the words of a stranger Who are you? She turned to face him half expecting to have stumbled upon a pack wolf who were trying to protect his pack, oh how she was wrong.  As she turned around the stranger came in to wive and the irritation from her vanished brother turned in to boiling anger.

The wolf in front of her were no pack wolf but a simple loner, with an ego. Who did he think he was to flag his tail and stand dominating in no mans land? Her oven tail raised as a warning flag above her back, if he were looking for a fight, he had disturbed the right wolf. Despite her youth she still had trained as an Asurn guardian and had no intention of losing to him.  “the name's Zahira.” she replied to his question, not intending to give him her family name as it would not be strange if @Peirus had already created enemies “and what about you who thinks you own the world?” her voice a low growl as she watched him, hackles raised.

As the girl’s tail went up to match his own, the dragon prince offered a flash of teeth, his sunburst eyes glinting dangerously in the midday sun as he dared her to escalate the situation. If she thought to scare him off his rock, she had another thing coming. It might just be a den, one singular den in the vast wilderness in the forests of Relic Lore, but now that Kjell had laid his claim, he was determined to keep it safe and sacred on his own.

“Kjell,” he hissed, ears flipping backwards – if she withheld her family name, so would he. It was not vital information, and truly, he doubted there were any other wolves that shared either name. Even his mother carried a different name, from a different generation, and he did not wish any association with his brother, even if by horrible chance he happened to be in the forest.

“This is my spot there, girly. Jes’ ‘cos Ah dun need a pack t’ protect it doesn’t make it any less mine.” It would be possible for him to try to control the entire lagoon, but the area around where Bishop would lay her head? No one would be permitted here. No one. “Git on.”
