My spirit's sleeping somewhere cold
Perseus Andromeda-Tainn

The sound of running water might be relaxing to some, but for the young Andromeda-Tainn it bought nothing but worry. Yawning as he was it was probably best to steer clear of the falls ahead, barely glimpsed through the oppressive trees of the misty woods, but he was also thirsty and the small drifts of snow that he had been managing with for weeks now had melted away. Oh bother. With no @Rosalind to fish him out there was little guarantee that he wouldn't get startled, faint and drown. His teeth ground together with worry, his dry tongue sticking to the roof of his mouth as he did so. There wasn't a lot to it was there?

Head hanging low he began to saunter towards the falls, ears turning this way and that just in case... Well, in any case he was sure if he were to be attacked out of the blue he probably deserved it... and he had almost reached his destination when somewhere behind him a branch snapped. The unexpected noise sent his heart racing with terror and before he could whip his head around, the familiar feeling of limbs giving way beneath him bought a groan from his chest. His chin hit the ground beneath him while orange eyes blinked. He waited for his legs to wake up from the start, but knew if he wanted to get his legs back under control he would have to calm down. Whatever it was still had a ways to come, he could only hope he'd be back on his feet by the time they did, another yawn leaving him as he just wished the day was over already.

He never should have left his home.

Arnaq
Arnaq was off scouting. She was sent to track a herd that came this way around this time of year and with pups coming out of the den food was going to become a big part of their daily lives. She had been tracking a small doe with a fawn for most of the morning. She was hoping they were head back to their herd. Sounds of water came from near by she could pick up their scent again, she needed a drink. She turned to watch the doe and fawn move off and saw the fawn trip and heard the resounding crack of a broken stick.

It seemed to echo in the trees and carried off then she heard the scrambling of feet against the forest terrain. Something was spooked by that fawn. She wondered what it was. She was ever so curious. She put her maw into the wind and sniffed the air. Wolf? She caught the scent of one some where near by. She knew it wasn't a pack scent and they weren't in pack territory any longer. She also had not smelled any territory lines. Maybe it was a lone wolf? Or another member to another pack doing the same as her? Scouting? Hunting?

She lowered to the ground and began to stalk towards the sound of the paws when she heard a thud. It sounded like the wolf may have fallen. She stood back to her paws and made her way to a small clearing. She saw a black wolf, about her size laying in among the leaves. "Are you okay?" She stood far enough back that if the wolf wanted to attack she could run. She wasn't a fighter, at least not yet but she knew she could out run him. She smelled the scent. Male? Young? Like her maybe. No other scents were on him, he had to be alone she thought about her time when she was alone as well. All she wanted was a friend. Maybe she could offer him friendship. She stood their her yellow orbs looking over the black wolf, her body posture not threatening by any means.
