Gent Lieris
@Kino @Sahalie @Marianna or anyone else from QV c:

It had taken him quite some time to track down the pack, and he found himself glad that he had chosen to make the journey first before undergoing his other visitations. He'd been away from home for far too long now, and we need to return to Raela before saying those final goodbyes. This, however, would be a story he wanted to take back to her. A final close to a chapter that had been open for both of them far too long. He'd thought it shut, had been determined to ignore the blank pages, but the notice of them had been festering within his mind ever since that sick, plump little girl had yelled at him up in the north.

For his own piece of mind, he needed to talk to the boy, just one more time. Gent didn't much care to hinge his life on the projected desires of the dead, but he also couldn't help but feel that he owed it to Minka to give her boy one last... opportunity.

Reaching the borders of the uniquely-forested pack, he shook out his thickening coat and took a deep breath. Surveyed the wilderness around him and soaked in the peace of it, before the quiet was disturbed his own howling voice, requesting Kino's presence directly.

Marianna Leigh

She heard the first howl, and then she waited. And waited. And waited still. And no one answer. It didn’t surprise her that Draven didn’t – things started going downhill with him first, after all, but she was a bit put off that Kino didn’t, either. Of course the other leaders didn’t; they probably didn’t know Gent. If they did, it wasn’t because they were in White Fir Notch first, or surely she would have heard about it.

After waiting what felt like forever, the young wolf stretched out her front limbs, tail curled high over her back. She shook out her thick winter coat, flexing her jaw as she oriented towards the sound of Gent’s call – maybe he’d know something fun to do. Or somewhere to go. Hell, if he was heading back to his pack, maybe his mate and kids were back. Maybe she’d go back too.

Approaching the borders, she gave the large black wolf a friendly woof. “Hey dad,” she rumbled, tail wagging behind her. The large female brushed her tawny shoulder up against him, greeting as warm as Marianna Leigh ever got, before circling around and sitting by her side. “Don’t think Kino’s coming. Shit got really weird around here. Him and his girl ain’t even leadin’ anymore, yo. Think I was just ‘bout to take leave, myself. Hate to disappoint.”

Not really, though.

The soft quiet that had pervaded before his call persisted long after the note had died away. He waited far longer than he would have at anyone else's borders, thinking that perhaps if not anything else, persistence would win him even a sight of the ghostly youth. He certainly hadn't expected the young man to rush to him jubilantly, but he'd thought at least that Kino would've been eager to chase him off his land.

A scoff hummed past his lips as he shifted his weight, considering the possibility that he had lingered long enough. Maybe this was the most definite conclusion he could seek; an agreement to forget one another.

His great black paws scraped against the earth as he turned his massive weight, but his ears picked up echoes that made it clear he was not the only movement in the woods. Blue eyes gazing back into the birch forest, a grin curved his lips as he spotted Marianna maneuvering toward him. Joyously his shadowy tail gave the chilly air a good beating as he leaned into her greeting.

In her casual way she quickly summarized what may have more or less been the issue; Kino had lost his alphaship. Gent couldn't say he was surprised. While he hadn't been actively cheering for nor against the boy, there was only so much that could be expected of a wolf just out of his teen year, much less one who had not experienced true consistency in his life after his first six months.

"His girl, is that the brown stout one?" he asked, already believing he knew the answer. He recalled her round face once more as she raved at him about his cruelties. A wolf that loyal was most likely still about.

"What happened to them?"
