Marianna Leigh

This was…this was awful. This girl, girl, a true fucking child, was definitely not the one her brother had a crush on – and sure, she had adult responsibilities with that kid right now, but only because she agreed to them. And Marianna was beginning to wonder what she had agreed to, coming to Quaking Vale. It wasn’t like Round Stone Crest, it wasn’t like White Fir Notch, and it definitely wasn’t like Blackwatch Canyon.

Shit.

She was really starting to regret leaving the canyon at all. This place sucked.

Narrowing her steel grey eyes, the woman watched with pricked ears, feeling her spine start to crawl as Castel made clear that this meeting was a game. Maybe that’s all leadership was to her. And that was all well and fine, Ari supposed, but that wasn’t the pack she joined, and that wasn’t the pack she was interested in. As the other wolves began to get to their feet and join in the game of chase the female alpha had inspired, the large bear glanced around – neither Kino nor Sahalie were present. Stupid, she thought without ruth.

She was stupid, falling for this.

Ari got to her feet to, clearing her throat as she shook out her thick hair. “I’m not a pup, and I ain’t playin’ tag, yo.”

Draven Leigh
This game broke Draven's brain

Draven was not quite sure what he expected to happen when he arrived to where Castel had called, Sachiel settled in beside him. Neha was close behind and after that came his bear of a sister Ari. Their relationship was, well it wasn’t really anything. They no longer fought but they did not hang out either which the dark Leigh was completely fine with. He had enough of his own stuff going on right now with his small family that he had created that he did not have much mind power left for the broader family that he had been born into. Still, the corner of his lip twitched at her greeting and the way that Castel seemed to swiftly sweep it away. Ari was really as far from their graceful mom as could be, maybe that was what happened when a girl grew up without a mother. It wasn’t a negative, but the contrast was still amusing to Draven who had certainly not expected this when he had allowed his mind to wander to what his siblings had grown up to be.

The dark brows shot up his face when Castel spoke and he uncertainly got to his paws, taking a few steps back in hesitation. While he did not feel as adamantly about it as Ari apparently did, he still found the whole idea a little, well a little odd and frankly immature. Sure, he played the same game with his pup in the lazy afternoons and that would usually include Neha as well but doing it with a whole group of grown wolves as some kind of pack activity was not conventional. Minka certainly would never have done it, and Draven had a hard time picturing Namid initiating such an event either. He was torn between obeying what his leader wanted, it was his duty as a subordinate to serve Castel in her wishes and his gut feeling that this wasn’t normal.

It resulted in him taking another few uneasy steps back, green eyes looking towards Neha for any kind of signal. Their son was having fun but then the game was designed for someone his age. His brother was nowhere to be found and besides the tawny girl at his side that left his only ally to be Castel and she had been the one to start this game. He settled instead on following slowly behind Sachiel, picking up his pace as they got closer to the treeline. He did not feel right participation, but it was a little better if he could just pretend it was just for Sachiel. He would just follow the pup’s lead.

Neha Vuesain

What she expected to be a formal pack meeting, had turned out to be anything but. Eyes settled patiently on Castel, their new lead female for an introduction, she would glance down at her son occasionally, just to be sure he was minding his manners. Castel began with a simple enough speech, stating that the pack wasn't exactly united, which was true. Everyone here seemed to go off and do their own thing, on their own agenda. Not something that Neha really minded. She was busy being a mother, learning the ropes and teaching her son daily life lessons he would need later on. She had expected the topic to remain on a serious, formal route, as had always been the case in Fallen Tree Cove. It was what the Vuesain had grown up with, and learned to expect from her leaders.

But, when the petite female snuck by the closest wolf playfully, bumping her muzzle against fur, and announced a game of tag, Neha was a little taken aback. Creamy brows shot up in mild surprise, the tip of her tail giving an uncertain flick, while one fore-paw was lifted hesitantly off the ground. Wouldn't a hunt or a discussion of politics regarding their closest neighbors be more productive? She certainly thought so. Other wolves such as Draven, and especially Marianna, did not seem especially thrilled. Sachiel on the other hand, being a pup, was instantly in the mix, sprinting for the treeline. For the sake of her son, she would play along. Slowly she broke out into a steady trot towards the orange trees, trailing him, with Draven close by. But she portrayed the image of a more watchful parent of their children, than an adult eager to engage in a kids game of tag.

Neha can often be found close to Aleister's side and therefore may appear in any of his threads.
