Askan Selwyn

At least there was that. Drama seemed to follow Lach around like his shadow, he doubted it was the Old Man's fault, but damn for a guy who wanted peace and quiet he often got anything but. Askan was glad though, it was clear they'd put up with another shit for a whole life time. They didn't need anymore, at least not now.

"So what's it like? I've been to the lake more times than I can count but I don't think I've ever been in your neck of the woods." So to speak."Surge. Sounds kind of dangerous, fast flowing water and all that. Sure you won't be in danger of flooding after the thaw?"

Askan supposed the same could be said for the Shallows, but honestly he wasn't too worried. His territory had a lot of high ground they could retreat to and it wasn't as if the tributaries feeding the lake were all that fast flowing or deep. They would be safe, Askan was fairly certain of that.

"Hoping at the very least most of your wolves know how to swim." He said, his lips ticking up at the corners, just a little.

@Askan - fade with your next post?
'cause darling you're nothing but brave

The fear, she understood it. The thought of flooding come the spring was something that had been briefly discussed. We ‘ave places we can go ta avoid any risin’ waters. The territory is pretty vast. She assured their worried ally. It was strange, being apart of discussions with other leaders. She’d taken a step back from the diplomacy side of things after Mittani’s attack because she’d lost her cool when talking to Kael and Piety afterwards. It had been too soon and the woman had been rather hormornal.

Surge. The anme sounded cool, at least. S’somethan we’re workin’ on. She answered his swimming comment with a soft smirk. Ah should probably be getting’ back ta my pack… just came out ‘ere ta stretch m’legs… She wanted to make sure all the children were actually on pack territory. They were getting older, almost yearlings now, but she couldn’t help but think of them as the small little balls of fur they had been when they were born. S’nice ta finally meet ya, tho, Askan.

Askan Selwyn

Well, good. Askan wasn't very good at worrying, nor was it something he enjoyed. He trusted Lach enough to believe he had his shit together but the unexpected always had a way of ruining even the best thought out plans. If Lilya said they were safe then he would take her words as gospel. That said, if things did go awry he would-in typical Askan fashion- insist that he'd been right all along. That he'd told them so.

Lilya seemed a little worn out from this exchange and though he wouldn't admit it, Askan felt the same. He was getting better at this socialising milarky, had made leaps and bounds during the time he'd been in the Lore but talking to strangers was just that, strange.

"Likewise,"he said, suddenly feeling a little awkward. Goodbyes were always so weird, sort of strained. "See you around." And with that he watched her go, before going about his day as per usual.
