Slender muzzle lifted itself towards the bluebird skies, leathery nose wriggling with curiosity as it scented the crisp autumn air. The female’s radiant gaze sparkled faintly beneath the radiant morning sun that had only just begun to warm the chilled land. Frost laced the tall stalks of grass, leaving beads of dew clinging to November’s thick, winter-white pelt as she snaked past them. As far as she could tell, it was going to be a beautiful day. She only hoped she could find something productive to do before it went to waste.

It was strange and mildly uncomfortable for the young she-wolf to be without a home, without a pack. She couldn’t help the sense of uselessness that crowded her mind as she wandered aimlessly through the lands that belonged to no one. It was a lonely life to live, certainly not one a woman like herself was suited for. Issuing a soft sigh, she paused for a moment to scan her surroundings before pushing on through the barren fields, hoping to locate a rabbit she could dine upon for breakfast.

Whether it was wanderlust or an autopilot shift made in the decision of his paws, something whisked the Arctic male to travel back North. Cutting across the dense matter of the landscape that was this region, like a wandering poltergeist he weaved in, out, and over the dense population of towering trees that crowded the forests and thickets. Perhaps it might have been the sweet smell of berries that enticed his senses, for progressing Northbound, the region was becoming less and less tangled with fauna, and more and more scented with something delicious.

Tall grasses eventually tickled his limbs, alerting him to the greater picture of a vast field before him littered with tall grasses and an assortment of blackberries. The smell of blackberries was particularly strong, due to the fact that colder weather was progressively moving in and wilting the ripened berries away. Taking in a greedy nose full of the sweetly laced region, there was also another particular scent that caught his attention. Giving a couple more sniffs to the breeze, his nose directed his sky blue eyes to a figure in the distance, a blotch of white slowly moving. Squinting his gaze from his distance, he noted that it was another wolf, and a white wolf at that.

Rather excited to happen upon another white wolf (for he had not seen one since he left the North), the Arctic loped toward the individual. Stopping in a bouncy trot at a comfortable distance as to not startle the miss (as he would come to discover), his tail lashed freely and kindly behind him, giving a low sort of woof toward her. "Wait, mademoiselle!" He called out after her, hoping that he wasn't halting her from anything important, but didn't want to miss the opportunity on meeting a white wolf from this region.

These lands were new and unfamiliar to the petite she-wolf. The scents lingering in the crisp air prompted her curiosity, and it was with keen interest that she observed her surroundings. Amber optics scanned the tall, swaying grass for any sign of prey whilst they made notes of the terrain. It was much different compared to her old home, but then again, November had no idea if she would be staying. She had yet to hear of any packs in this region, and that was what she was ultimately after.

She had been picking her way stealthily through the frost-bitten blades that grazed her sides when the voice, mingled with the musky scent of a male, pierced the serene silence. Snowy audits stood attentively atop her silken skull as she searched for whoever had called out to her. Mademoiselle was a word she had heard before, but she knew nothing of its meaning or its origin. Then, she spotted his pale, robust form amongst the foliage; powdery blue eyes tangoed with hers and she smiled bashfully as she took in his handsome features.

“Oh, hello!” she lilted in greeting, alabaster plume swaying against her heels in a friendly fashion. She was never turned off to making new acquaintances. “Did you need something?” Curious, she canted her muzzle sideways. He had been the one trying to catch her attention, after all.

First impressions gave that she was petite and compact, but nothing short of appealing to the eye nonetheless. Draped in downy snow white fur, it was then eminent how there was platinum like stands that sprinkled themselves across her mane and nape, and it was from there Aren improvised that her size and her colors weren't of an Arctic from the North.

Arctic or not, it didn't give the excuse to not become acquainted with the amber eyed misses, and it had been many moons now since Aren relatively seen anyone who was remotely as friendly as she. Seeing as how she was quite receptive to his call and didn't seem to be bothered by his presence in the least, his shoulders relaxed a bit, and his tail picked up on a steady rhythm of a wag. "Excusez-moi, mademoiselle, I didn't need anything at all." It sounded a little foolish to say, but there was a cordial dip of his muzzle. "I haven't seen anybody since I've been traveling, and... it's reassuring to see wolves haven't died out yet like I thought." There was a light chuckle to follow suit, with his accent rich upon his words and tongue.
