Piety Santoro
It's time to meet Cyril! @Wraith @Roosemooth @Rowan @Cyril @Saradathia @Cheedo || Morning, Sunny, 61 ° F, 16 ° C

She had watched him grow with pleasure. From a little squirmy ball into a more refined pup-shaped squirmer. Piety was ecstatic to share whatever little Cyril had done that day when Wraith would see them. She understood that he still had to work while she was caring for Cyril but oh how she wished he could be here for every single moment.

As Cyril grew stronger he seemed to move about the den more. Piety knew he would be walking and running about sooner rather than later. For he was seemingly already giving toddling a shot. This was not a child she needed to hide, there were no mistakes or accidents here. "Cyril," The mother cooed softly to the dark boy. "do you wish to see outside?" She asked him as she lowered herself to the ground to be more on his level. He seemed to be mobile enough now with those baby blue eyes opened to the world. Piety simply loved those baby blues and couldn't wait to see what color they turned.

The mother rose back to her height and carefully stood at the mouth of the den. Tipping her head back she let out a call to summon the others to the den. Once she finished her gaze returned to Cyril. Piety wouldn't be surprised if he tried to toddle away before the others arrived. Sitting down and waiting for others was easy when she had her baby boy to look after.

Cheedo

Throughout what had been left of Piety's pregnancy when she arrived in Whitestone Cheedo had been there to show her support. Even after the child had been born the small agouti had still supported the mother. She was her alpha and over time she had grown to care for the woman. However, Cheedo knew that someday soon the pup would be leaving the den and exploring the Monadnock on his own. She didn't know if she was ready for that, to see him do what her pups never had the chance to do.

The day her alpha had given birth she was happy for the mother but seeing the tiny stillborn in Wraith's jaws brought it all back. Sure she had put on a brave face for the new father and did her best to put on a brave face but since that day. The old nightmares of her lost children had returned keeping her awake most nights. She lay in the den watching as the others slept not wanting to close her eyes for fear she would see their tiny faces and hear their cries.

During the day she kept busy so she couldn't think about her lost pups and the nightmares. That was exactly what she had been doing when the call went up to meet at the den and as always Cheedo did exactly as the call had said. She quickly made her way to the den but he she arrived she stopped at the sight of the pup outside the den. A whine sounded from her as she developed her usual posture when she was unsure. She didn't want to seem like she wasn't happy to see him but it just brought back so many things she thought she'd put behind her. Cheedo finally approached cautiously before settling down in the same place she had taken up the day Piety had given birth.

Saradathia Kethian
The arctic wolf groaned groggily when she heard the muffled howl from within the communal den, bleary eyes blinking in the dark light as the last foggy strands of sleep dissolved. A soft grunt escaped Saradathia as she pulled herself onto her paws, giving her fur a soft shake as she made her way out and into the sunlight. Silver gaze taking in the warm sight of her home as her thoughts drifted toward Piety and her pup, making her way slowly toward the den that her Alpha had chosen for herself.

Arriving after Cheedo, she paused, her eyes on the small shape of the pup, she was hesitant, what was she suppose to do or say? She doubted that her own upbringing would be of any good reference, though she didn't want to the child to think she disliked him, so she spoke up “Hello Piety, Cheedo.” she paused, and turned her scarred muzzle toward the pup “Welcome little Cyril.” Though, she realized with a sudden snort, just how long would he remain little? She almost positive that eventually, given the stature of his parents, the pup would outgrow her in size.

Cyril Kael-Santoro

Darkness was all the little Kael had known after entering the world twenty-three days ago. Along with the comfort of his mother’s bleached fur and warm milk, the boy had grown accustom to his dark surroundings. The bright light at the entrance of the den had intrigued him and with each passing day he grew more restless, anticipating the day that his mother would allow him to explore the unknown of the outside world. His denim blues were itching to see more, as were his paws. There was so much he didn’t know—so much he wanted to see.

The day had finally arrived. His little rump shook with excitement along with his tail, for he had not yet to control his motor functions just yet. Cyril, do you wish to see outside? Did mother expect him to say no? A cheeky grin rolled onto his plump features, which would grow to be slender and more defined as he aged, his sharp incisors hanging past his lower lip. Instead of answering with words—or puppy gibberish—a loud, bird-like chirp expelled from his small body, paired with an enthusiastic nod. He knew voices and a few names, but faces aside from the ones that belonged to his parents were still a blur. While he was excited to see the rest of his packmates Cyril was mostly excited to see the Whitestone terrain, for he had heard so much about the outside world.

He watched as his mother proceeded to the mouth of the den, her pale fur illuminated by the sun outside. For a moment he hesitated, unsure of whether he was ready or not. But that feeling quickly passed and the Kael propelled himself outside, tumbling past his mother into the white unknown.

A pale wolf with a scar similar to Piety’s greeted him as he somersaulted past his mother, his plump stomach flopping against the cold stone of the monadnock. His denim blues focused on her small stature, his lips pulling into a wide grin as he chirped a greeting in her direction. Rolling to his side the boy turned to the agouti female, his eyes widening as he studied the peculiar colour of her eyes. He offered her another chirp as he flailed on the ground, his excitement overwhelming him. There would be plenty of times where he could act more mature and refined, but for now he could not keep it contained.

Wraith Kael

By luck alone, Wraith heard the call go up from his mate. On his way back from a short jaunt around the territory, the male wasn't returning empty-handed. A spring hare swung from his jaws, its neck broken after the brute had caught the animal mid-run and shook it violently until it no longer thrashed and squealed. He trotted quickly to heed Piety's summons and smiled upon his approach with tail wagging high.

Unceremoniously, Wraith dropped his catch and approached the gathering of wolves. While he would normally greet his Acushla first, he couldn't help the way his golden gaze landed and held on his son instead. The way he was flopped and flailing on the ground brought forth every feeling of love the male felt he ever had in his life. It was enough to make his heart burst! "Look at you, big man! Finally decided to come outside, huh?" Pride bubbled up in his chest as he dipped his muzzle to lick his son adoringly along his head and face.

"Well, what do you think so far?" he asked conspiratorially, voice dropping to a stage whisper that the others could easily hear. "Pretty neat, right?"

Finally, his gaze flickered up to Piety and he shared a similar smile of love that he'd had for Cyril. He stood to his full height, towering over the pup as he looked over his head at his mother. "How are you feeling, Acushla?" more than happy to show his love in front of all of them. It was vital, in his opinion, for Cyril to see as well. To know that they were family and they would take care of each other. He stepped closer and licked at her ear gently before pressing his face against hers and nodding at the gathered females.

"All is well?" he murmured to them with a kind smile.

Rowan Attaya
Since the birth of the Monadnock heir Rowan had found it easy to remain away from the den and the sick feeling which had plagued him the day of Cyril's birth had fully subsided. The ink-legged Attaya maintained his worth by running rigorous border patrols, ensuring that the borders were saturated in his own scent and full of warning that these were not the days of pleasantries. There was a young one whose safety and health were at the forefront of the pack's effort, and he made it very clear with each rise of his leg that these borders were not for the faint of heart.

Piety's call caught him while he was returning from patrol, her voice full of delight and confidence - the opposite of the feeling which left him with heavy bones. Rowan hoped it was only the scent of all that blood which had made him so uneasy over Cyril; the only way he could know for sure was to lope toward the old coyote den and see for himself. He slowed his lengthy stride as he neared, eyes sweeping over the ensemble: Piety and Wraith, Cheedo nearby, a pale she-wolf with whom he hadn't fully acquainted himself - and Cyril.

His dull gold eyes settled upon the dark smudge propelling itself from the den and he felt his heart seize at how much the youth looked like Iyes. All dark wolf pups look the same, he tried to tell himself, but the feeling only let up enough to put his legs back into motion. His chest felt hollow still. He rounded off the group and came to a haphazard sit, his gaze still closely trained on the little Kael and his winsome romping. Huh. The little guy was kind of cute, wasn't he?

Piety Santoro
@Cyril @Wraith @Rowan @Cheedo @Saradathia second round! @Roosemooth feel free to jump in when you can, I just didn't want this to sit for too long.

She was happy as Cyril made his way out into the world with such vigor and eagerness. Of course, her attention briefly flickered over to Cheedo as she settled in. "It's good to see you again." Her tail moved across the ground in a friendly fashion as she offered the small female a smile. She had proven more than useful in her time here and Piety was always eager for a chance to see her.

The next to show, and Piety would admit she was a tad bit surprised at the quickness, was Saradathia. "Hello to you too, Saradathia." She offered the same kind smile to the pale female. Even if she was absent more than Piety liked she knew that the small female was only doing good, or so she hoped.

Then there was Wraith. The father of her child and the love of her life. She watched him interact with Cyril and she simply chuckled. Piety held in her own thoughts that she had been trying to keep him within the den but that it wasn't fair to do so any longer. At such a young age he was already becoming quite the little explorer. Of course then came his affectionate greeting with her. "Good, bit tired. Mister Handful but I wouldn't trade it for the world." Her gaze moved to her thrashing son who seemed to be rather beaming with energy. She leaned into his embrace and inhaled his masculine scent. It was like a comfort blanket to her. "How are you, though?" The pale female asked softly as she noticed Rowan entering the scene. Part of her was wondering where Roosemooth was but she wasn't going to make everyone wait for him. Surely Wraith or herself could fill him in if anything important happened.

"Rowan," She chimed kindly with a soft woof. It was good to see the dark male, another able body who had joined their ranks. "good to see you." The pale mother offered him a wide smile before she rose to her paws and let her gaze slide against the gathering. They were a small group but they were strong as the monument they called home.

She gently nudged Wraith with a smile before she spoke to the group, aware of how he didn't enjoy it too much. "I thought it was about time you all got to properly meet Cyril." Her gaze flickered between Rowan and Saradathia who were perhaps less familiar with the child as Cheedo. The small agouti had been rather hands on since the birth and truthfully the mother was grateful for that. "As you can see, he seems rather excited to meet you all too." Piety chuckled softly as love shone proudly in her eyes.

Cheedo

If nothing she was obedient when it came to the call of her Alpha's so she went to the den where Piety's call had originated. She was greeted with the sight of the pup, his first time out of the den and her first time seeing him. She'd spent many nights and days outside the den to be there for her alpha. She knew this day would come and as much as she supported her Alpha's and their pup part of her had hoped she'd miss it.

It of course wasn't anything against Cyril for it wasn't his fault that when she laid her green gaze on him memories of her children swam through her mind. She'd never been good at hiding how fearful she was or timid but for the sake of her alphas and her place in the pack she felt it wise that she do her best to hide the grief that overcame her at the sight of the pup.

Once she was settled her gaze had gone to Piety as the alpha spoke to her and a polite nod was offered, “You as well,” she then offered a smile to the woman. A moment later Sara whom she’d only just met appeared and Cheedo offered her a smile at the greeting. She still had her reservations about the woman but those thoughts were for another time. Slowly each member arrived to greet the young Keal as he entered the world for the first time.

Cyril Kael-Santoro

His father’s voice caused his head to spin, his little navy jewels focusing in on the dark shape of Wraith as another squeal emitted from his small body. He did not recognize most of the words that trailed from his father’s mouth but one stuck out to the little Kael: outside. Finally, after days of whining and seeing the bright light from the end of the den, Cyril had been granted permission to explore the outside world. And boy, was it ever neat.

He nodded frantically at his father’s question, his small body flopping along the dirt as he tried to absorb as much as possible, but there was so much to see! How could they have hidden this wondrous world from him for so long?! While the rock surrounding the abandoned coyote den was bleak and uninteresting, to Cyril it was utterly fascinating. His world had been nothing but darkness and a mixture of both dirt and rock before today. This was all so new to him; so amazing. He couldn’t wait to see more, but he would have to grow into his little legs and paws first. They would not be able to handle long adventures just yet.

His eyes settled on another dark figure, his brows narrowing slightly as he gathered himself from the ground and stomped forward, curious as to who this Wraith-lookalike was. He did not smell the same as his father and, upon closer inspection, he did not look like him either. Their fur was similar, lacking the same light that his mother’s alabaster fur possessed, but this male’s pelt was adorned with silver as well, while his father had more of a espresso hue. He pranced right up to the newcomer, his little nose twitching as he sniffed out the stranger, his eyes wide with wonder.
