Secret Woodlands is of recent creation, founded after much hardship by wolves of the disbanded Copper Rock Creek pack. Nina Reinier, Sloane Thorben, and many others had made their journey through Relic Lore in hopes of finding a new home, and the new pack finally settled down its roots in the Thicket of Secrets. Koda Reinier, who had been a leader of Willow Ridge, had suffered a hunting accident while leader there, and unable to remember anyone from the Lore besides his love Nina he left Willow Ridge to join her pack. Sloane's leadership beside Nina was a largely temporary measure, until her true mate was able to join her. Upon Koda's arrival, Sloane stepped down to allow Koda to lead the fledgling pack.

Difficulty did not wait long in finding the young pack, as the threat of rabies and strange wolves descended upon the land. Ashanti Aranna had been attacked by Slyscar, one of the Aniwaya, and is found and helped back to the Woodlands by Hollow. It is then she realizes she is pregnant with what is to be Slyscar's son, Bane. Nina and Koda decided that despite official pack law, that it would be best for Ashanti to stay with the pack. Secret Woodlands joined the war on the other side of the mountains to ensure their future as a pack by removing the Aniwayan blight. It seems as though the large war over the mountain brought the pack closer together throughout their short time together. Following the war, Nina and Koda's children, Tacoma, Ashton, and Danica were born into relative peace. The new hierarchies to the throne have seemed to bring the Woodland wolves closer together, for even in the time of death, it seems as though life makes everything all the brighter.
