Shortly after Grizzly Hollow was resurrected, Rook Lyall took up the stead as alpha in his ailing father’s place. After many years, Borden Lyall finally seemed to be slowing down, and with illness came his son to step into place. At Rook’s side was his mate, Quil, and their son, Tomen – but all was not as it seemed, for on the side, a romance had sparked between Rook and his aspiring medic, Veho Macieo. The travelling medicine man was recruited over the summer, and with this close friendship came a desire to rise through the ranks to beta.

Over the summer and fall months, they picked up a great variety of wolves, including Piety, who fled from Willow Ridge, Hocus, seeking his daughter, Nineva, lost when her family moved and Whisper Caverns dissolved, and Jynx, separated from her home further north.

Among all this, Borden grew worse – his passing took a great toll on Rook personally, and the man stepped down from his rank, rising Veho to the position of alpha. It was not expected, but accepted with great respect. Shortly after, Cinder Attaya, Quil’s sister, went missing – and so the once lead pair of Grizzly Hollow left for a time to mourn, and to seek what was lost. Jynx stepped into leadership in the interim – but when Rook returned, Cinder did not.

Tensions rose as the pair of alphas clashed, and once confronted, Veho asked Jynx to leave – thusly promoting Oula, a wolf he’d recruited earlier in the year, to position as alpha. A great number of wolves have joined since then (sea wolves, Amaryllis, and Yvly), and once breeding season rolled around, Veho and Oula opted to take advantage of their positions. In a mutual agreement with Rook, all three wolves would be the parents to the newest additions of the pack: Joan, Felix, and Ophelia, born during a brief tornado touchdown.

As summer slowly returns, Trisden has come and gone from Renegade’s Reach, taking with her Jaysyek and Hocus, back to the Lyall domain. Will Grizzly Hollow return to Lyall paws in the coming months, or will Veho and Oula continue to guide it into the future?
