Just like the past year, this year had been hard on Poison Path as well. However, life in the beginning seemed to be going smooth for the poisoned wolves, until an unexpected return of a past leader and founder of the pack. Naira Aquila had returned with Adonis Aquila, seeing the hurt and the trouble they had gone through, Athena Moon Everfall accepted them back into her family, but part of her still didn't trust her old leader. Putting Naira in the rank of Lowest, the old leader became angry and offended by her temporary rank and decided to go make plans of her own, but didn't leave without putting up a fight. With the next disappearance of Tlarx Everfall, the alpha position remained open for the next male to take on the alpha role. Feeling that her Head Guardian, Ash Hervok, would be suitable to take that place until she found an another male that could fulfill that role completely, Athena Moon Everfall requested Ash to take on leadership. At the beginning of the new year, Naira comes to the borders to take back her two abandoned children, Datura Aquila and Belladonna Aquila with a pack of her own at her side. In the end, Datura leaves willingly, while Belladonna decides to stay with the family that raised her.

Soon, Eden Asthed joins the pack and shows an interest in Athena. He begins to challenge his way up in the ranks, to fulfill a promise that he gave to Athena, but soon a war plagues the lands of Relic Lore and all the packs are called together to fight a disease that the new wolves had brought to their lands. Athena brought Ash and Steel Kaldorr with her, leaving the rest of the pack behind to watch over the lands. Eventually, the war was won and the warriors returned home.

Not too shortly after, Eden and Athena mated, but after a few months, he left the pack behind, leaving the alpha position, once again, in jeopardy. As the time for the delivery of the pups grew nearer, Ash comes to the realization that he will be the one to lead by Athena’s side, and he will not let anyone take his place unless they bring him down. When Elliot and Aphrodite Moon are born things seem to be finally looking up for Poison Path. Poison Path has suffered many heartaches, but they refuse to let that affect the bond that they have with one another. Like their motto says, "Strike me down, I'll just rise up stronger."
