This terrain would’ve been somewhat of a challenge for even the healthiest of wolves to traverse. It was probably more so for someone with a screwed-up face and only one eye, that lacked the ability to perceive depth and distance accurately. Still, though, the ghost certainly preferred this over the damn forests that most of the others in this area seemed content to linger nearby.
Colette had found herself wandering from them, further and further with each passing day. Reika had likely found herself a place amongst these others, who she did not doubt were good, especially if they were associated with Chan. There was no longer any need for her to remain.
But she had nowhere else to go. Standing at the top of and observing the drop beneath what was probably a once proud waterfall, now nothing more than a meager trickle, that problem was both immediate and long-term. The silence and recent happenings brought back memories with a greater force than ever, no matter how much she sought to bury them. As such, the thought of jumping over was there, too. At this height.. it would be quick, and finally, those damned memories and all of the guilt would be gone.
It was doubtful there would be anything recognizable left, either - certainly not by the time anyone that might care would find her here, and that was a positive, too. So she sat, contemplating, forepaws planted just a scant few paces from the cliff edge.
