Recent Pack Changes

Hello friends! Some of you may have noticed there are some seriously big pack changes going on these days!

Packs Disbanding

As of December 4th, 2022 Willow Ridge has disbanded, the changes for this on site have already been made so you will notice that their description etc is already archived.

Come December 15th, 2022 Fool's Gold Chasm will also be disbanding, though it is so close to the holidays it may take staff a little longer to do the housekeeping on this one!

We are sad to see both of these packs go, WR had been around as a revival since February 2022, and FGC was created February 2021. With both of these packs gone we will be sitting at 2 in game packs and as of this writing the game can support 4! Which means as packs fall it leaves room for new packs to rise, who could be the next leader in the making?

Changes to Pack Ranks

Staff have also decided to make a few changes to how pack ranks work. Prior to today there could be no gaps in pack ranks other than the leader section, the change we have decided to make is to allow for gaps in the second tier as well. Meaning that should pack leader(s) not trust enough wolves to be considered their second they may have only one wolf in that section and leave the second one blank.

Now, this will mean some changes for how challenges work as well! Below are some examples of how pack challenges can now work, but the long and the short of it is, how a wolf challenges depends on whether there is one or two wolves in a tier, and whether they are challenging to take the spot solo (if there is only one in the tier) or be added alongside the solo wolf.

Examples:
Pack 1 is laid out at:
Tier 1: Wolf A & Wolf B
Tier 2: Wolf C & Wolf D,
If either C or D want to be leader they could challenege A or B and take their spot if they win. If wolf E who is in tier 3 wants to challenge up they can challenege C or D and take their spot if they win.

Pack 2:
Tier 1: Wolf A
Tier 2: Wolf B & Wolf C
If either B or C want to lead alongside Wolf A, they would need to request to do so and Wolf A would need to agree. This could be a verbal conversation or Wolf A could ask them to prove their worth by completeting a task, or a spar or something else.

If B or C wants to lead alone they would need to challenge A as normal.

Pack 3:
Tier 1: Wolf A
Tier 2: Wolf B
If a subordinate Wolf C wants to be promoted to 2nd tier, they would need a blessing from Wolf A as the leader, and it could be a conversation, spar, task etc. If they want 2nd tier alone it would be a challenge as normal.
