@Nash had given her permission to look around for @Eclypse outside the territory with strict instructions to not be gone longer than one night, which Nori was grateful for. Usually, she would've hated such a restriction, but with how she felt physically she doubted she would've been able to go far off anyway. Besides, she was grateful for the opportunity just to look.
The woman she'd met before had been angry, and rightfully so. Especially without having the entire story, which Nori was absolutely unwilling to share, it must have looked like she'd chased the young wolf off at random.
It hadn't been quite as cut and dry as she'd told her family. Not that it really mattered - Nori was still in the wrong. Exhausted or not, grieving or not, struggling or not, she was older and should've handled it better. The immediate regret had been eye-opening.
She sniffed around for any trace of scent, ears angling this way and that to try and listen for the girl. The injured one tugged painfully on freshly-scabbed wounds, but it was almost welcome. There was nothing fresh suggesting the kid had been nearby recently, and no physical trace of her.
Nori groaned in frustration and sat down, letting herself take a break.
