"I'll be careful," she assured again, seeking his gaze to make sure he knew she meant it. She wouldn't take unnecessary risks or put herself in danger, and she'd be back regularly to check in on things. "I'll head out later today, then." There was a particular goodbye she wanted to make, before she left.

She turned to leave, to find something to eat, but hesitated. "Thank you. For trusting me to do this," she said, offering him a small smile. She'd do her best not to let him down.
