Language. Hope that's cool. ._. Also, (listening to that when I wrote the post)!
<blockquote><i>Late evening — Clear — Current Temperature: 49° F/9° C</i>

The Lake was quickly becoming one of Volkan's favorite haunts. Lost Lake and its accompanying mountain hike invigorated her, made her want to explore. It helped that every trip here had resulted in an interesting encounter. So it was that the static-colored young female found herself traipsing up the mountainside today, picking her way carefully up the rock face. At first, this climb had irritated her. Today, a smirk crossed her ragdoll features, pale gaze furrowed as she actively enjoyed the challenge. She could feel her muscles working, feel the burn in her legs and shoulders as she leapt, the cool grass soft under her paws.

The ridge overlooking the lake presented a magnificent view. Stopping briefly to take it in, she looked only once over her shoulder before beginning the descent down to the Lake, a distinct challenge in itself; the slope's hidden rocks and uneven ground made a fall a real possibility. Of course, Volkan wasn't one for caution when it came to things like this, and right at the bottom with the lake in sight—

<b>"—SHIT."</b> She stubbed her toe.</blockquote>

Delilah "Murder" Devant
moonlight on my floor shining through the roof
they got the city surrounded as if i needed proof

Today was a day for exploration. Murder began her trek around the forest and its many ruins and landmarks, passing by land that smelled and was obviously claimed by a pack, through dark and light parts of the forests, to creeks and raging rivers, and in the end she had ended up here. She had no idea how she ended up along the skirts of a large lake, its chilly blue waters lapping at the shore. She had always been a cliff-climber, and enjoyed the activity greatly, and whenever she found one she felt the need to scale it, upward or downward. This one had just happened to be downward, and while she had almost lost her footing in the unfamiliar rocks a couple of times, she had made it down into the dip in the earth that housed this lake. It was a fortunate find, after her day of wandering she was glad to come across a body of water that would soak her dry throat. Her fur shifted in a breeze that caught her, chilling her slightly as she made her way to the edge of the lake.

Her muscles ached as she finally stopped and dipped her head down to sip from the cooled liquid, a sigh of relief almost emanated from them as she sat down and began to groom. As she stretched to reach some of the hard spots, her limbs glided sorely to where she wished them to be. As she reached her head around to try to itch a scratch on her shoulder, her eyes caught sight of a wolf climbing down the rock face as she had just a short while ago. She paused in her doings and watched her as a minute, as a curse left the lips of the young woman. She had the appearance of a young wolf, a yearling perhaps, and Murder wondered what she was doing down near the lake, as it was difficult to find and get to. She supposed the female could have asked her the same thing, but then again, Murder had an incurable wanderlust that pounded heavily through her veins. She mentally shrugged to herself, then continued what she was doing, wondering whether or not she would have company shortly.

Sorry for the wait! And this thread would take place with Volkan still in Swift River, backdated to before the new pack formed :]
<blockquote>A frustrated growl followed her curse. Her paw throbbed, and she shook it out before stopping to crack her neck. As she rolled her head from side to side as she did whenever calming down seemed in order, another wolf came into view a short distance away. Great. A witness. Icy eyes narrowed at the stranger, Volkan wondered how she hadn't seen her there before; she supposed she'd been too preoccupied with descending the rock face that she hadn't noticed. The other wolf was older than she was, pretty standard-colored, reminiscent slightly of Corinna, she thought, with that thick fur. Another lone wolf hanging around Lost Lake— what a surprise. They seemed to like this place, didn't they?

By contrast, Volkan looked like a ghost, her colorless, wild fur catching the light of the rising moon. She blinked the silver light from her eyes, passing through one of its silver shafts swiftly. Slightly annoyed both with her lack of observance and the fact that someone else was here, she quietly approached the water, taking only a moment to shoot her a blank-faced glance underscored by a wry smirk before she reached the lake's edge. <b>"Hey,"</b> she said casually, figuring it was rude not to at least greet the other female, but not having much to say otherwise except maybe, <b>"Sorry you had to see me look like a dumbass."</b></blockquote>
