The Lake was quickly becoming one of Volkan's favorite haunts. Lost Lake and its accompanying mountain hike invigorated her, made her want to explore. It helped that every trip here had resulted in an interesting encounter. So it was that the static-colored young female found herself traipsing up the mountainside today, picking her way carefully up the rock face. At first, this climb had irritated her. Today, a smirk crossed her ragdoll features, pale gaze furrowed as she actively enjoyed the challenge. She could feel her muscles working, feel the burn in her legs and shoulders as she leapt, the cool grass soft under her paws.
The ridge overlooking the lake presented a magnificent view. Stopping briefly to take it in, she looked only once over her shoulder before beginning the descent down to the Lake, a distinct challenge in itself; the slope's hidden rocks and uneven ground made a fall a real possibility. Of course, Volkan wasn't one for caution when it came to things like this, and right at the bottom with the lake in sight—
<b>"—SHIT."</b> She stubbed her toe.</blockquote>
