She's started the day off with a meal. Meals...they were a rare occurrence in Mist's life. She'd stayed strong enough to survive, but just barely. Her hunting skills were enough to let her get by, but she did spend most of her life hungry. A meal, however, energized her to the point of restlessness. She'd spent the rest of her day traveling, and now she was stopped at the edge of a forrest. It was late, and she recognized that she should be tired, but something motivated her...something that hadn't been there before.
What did she long for? The second year of her life had been based solely on survival, but she'd gotten a hang of that. Purpose? Another pack? Was she ready? Maybe, maybe not. She had spent most her life in solitude. She lied close to the ground, unsure of her decision.
She recognized that others were near. There were signs of a pack, and possibly multiple packs around the area. Usually if she ran across this in her travels, she would turn away. "Not today," she whispered to herself.
She chuckled softly, as she realized it was dark. 'Not tonight, more like it..' she thought to herself. She slowly got up. What was there to lose? A life not worth living? She started to make her way towards the forest. Something was driving her, something she didn't have before. She made her decision, and as she realized this, her slow pace picked up to a trot. Thoughts of rejection and fears of hostility raced through her mind, but she was already inside the forrest. She couldn't turn back now, despite her fears. She broke into a run (not necessarily realizing this). Nothing could change her mind. She was ready, and it was time. It was time to face others.
...
She woke up the next morning, after abandoning the idea of finding others. She'd made sure not to alert any wolves nearby. She began making her way towards water.
never fear shadows, they simply mean there's a light sinning nearby
