Dead Empress Backwater III. Medic
Clover Assana
Clover nodded, a warm smile on her face. "You'll be up and walking about like normal in just a couple days if you rest it properly." Ana would still have to take it easy for at least a week, by after a couple days of letting the paw heal she would be able to walk around and carefully do some more extreme tasks like running or hunting. Happy that Ana offered up a dark paw, she took note of how the other girl looked away and tensed her body. It would be a little painful to wrap the paw as she had no herbs to offer that could dull the pain, but Ana looked strong enough to handle some more pain.

She grabbed the strip of bark and as gently as she could wrapped it around the darker girl's paw, taking care to not be rough as she made sure it was firmly wrapped to compress the joint, but not too tight that it would cut off circulation. That would be even worse. She would have liked to make a poultice to spread on the inner part of the bark that could help soothe the pain and ease some of the inflammation, but with winter still going strong that just was not an option. Oh well, this would have to do.

"There you go," she said warmly once the bark was properly wrapped, sitting back on her haunches with a mildly pleased expression. It was not her best work by any means - no poultice and the bark could be a little more pliable - but she was satisfied with what she had been given to work with. "Now just try not to put any weight on the paw for at least a day, preferably two if at all possible, then you can start to gently use it to walk around." Her words were much more gentle than the previous more ordered instructions, but once again there was a firm undertone to make sure Ana knew it was important to follow her advice.

Annaliese
Annaliese was bewildered! A few days...and if she rested properly? Her mouth went dry. So not only was Clover doing an act of selflessness today, but for the next several. Why? Why was she such a goodie two shoes?! It was bad for the little female! She had nothing to gain from babysitting Ana while she healed. The yearling kept her mouth shut, knowing well that her words wouldn't deter the stubborn wolf.

The girl clenched her teeth at the touch. Her paw was wrapped in a matter of seconds. In fact it was over sooner than Ana had expected. She slowly opened one eye then the other. Examining her paw as if shocked to see it was still attached and mostly intact. The rough bark had been worked around like a bandage. While she had a lack of interest in the healing world, she was at the very least impressed. "Thank you, Clover". Her words were warm and accompanied by a tail wag.

Any hint of happiness quickly faded. She wouldn't be permitted to walk normally for two days? How would she even begin to pull her own weight? "Oh...but....but..." Her head drooped slightly, "Alright. Doc's orders." She attempted the lighthearted joke but no laughter left her. She was an injured loner. This was no benuo. Hopefully this white mistress would be true to her words. Ana wasn't sure why anyone would stick their neck out for anyone else, but secretly she was grateful. Thanks to Clover she didn't need to worry about not seeing her next sunrise.

The girl staggered over to her rabbit, limping on three paws. She picked it up and with her mouth full, "Need to bury this in the cache. Back at my den." She added the last part like it wasn't obvious.

Currently Annaliese smells vaguely like Valle wolves. During transportation, the humans rubbed her with their scent.
