Torla Tainn
Failed. She had failed.

Her beloved brothers, Hotei and Indru, were gone. She had searched for Indru for what seemed like ages after he had gone hunting and never returned. Her journey had taken her many miles from Swift River, from her home, from her family she cherished so dearly. And just as everyone else had given up on Hotei ever being found after that awful fire, Torla had, at long last, given up hope of seeing Indru again, either. Life was simply unfair. Her parents, and now too many of her siblings -- gone. When would it ever get better? When would the pain ever go away?

And so, Torla had made her way back to Relic Lore, back to the Swift River pack. At least she still had some family left there. She hoped so, anyway. She was hopeful, but that dark cloud over her head snickered, "No, they've all left and it's all your fault!" Ducking her head low, Torla padded on until the scent of her beloved family reached her nose. And within those scents -- could it be? The scent of her brother, Indru, was fresh. Was it really possible he was back?

There was only one way to find out.

The pale girl threw her head back in a beckoning howl to her family. <i>I am here, I am here!</i> her voice sang. She could only hope someone was nearby. Torla didn't want to be alone for another second.

<blockquote>Sad thoughts followed the dark wolf along the Swift River. He had made his choice to stay, and as he suspected was lonely without them. He, and Kinis had forged a great friendship yet it seemed nothing in this quiet day of winter. Kinis had left, and Triell did not know yet where Ruiko had decided to settle. All he knew they were gone, and never to return to the river to stay again. Mumbling unaudible words of his misery he tromped along the river bank in a foul mood. Volkan he had realized was not romanticly tied to Ruiko, but what he had learned about her still had shaken him.

He was likely to get even more upset dwelling upon the whole occurence when so strange a female's voice sang over the grove about being here. His head snapped upward, listening waiting for it to dawn on him who it was. The list of the members of the Tainn family came to mind, and it did not take long for him to guess who had returned this time. <i>Torla!</i> His past feelings forgotten he let out a happy woof, and set to finding where and how she was.

A quick run, his thick limbs stretched over the ground. He had a bit of a hard time, falling through the dense crust to and again. He made great effort to hurry, and soon let out a short howl to better find out where she was.</blockquote>

Torla Tainn
((OOC: Was waiting for more replies before I posted again, but don't want Torla to become inactive, so...))

Waiting for a response, any response, was absolute torture. There was nothing on the wind to be heard but a few errant bird cries; nothing to be smelled but the dry air of the winter. Torla's head hung lower and lower with each passing minute. Perhaps she was wrong to be so hopeful. Perhaps there really was nobody here. Not a single Tainn left in Relic Lore? She didn't know what she would do if that truly were the case.

But just as she was about to turn and leave, she heard a snippet of a voice catch on the wind. Her head lifted sharply, ears pricking. She couldn't be sure who it was that had called to her. Heart racing, Torla took another chance and let loose another howl to signal to the other where she was. Her bright orange-yellow eyes tried peering through the surroundings to figure out where the other was coming from. Her tail wagged fully in anticipation. Even if it was a stranger, she would be so glad for the company. And they might be able to tell her where her family had gone.

Adonia Valde
OOC; Triell, not sure if we were planning to make another thread.. but even if we end up doing it, we can just say this happened afterwards? Just want to get another rp thread up for me c:

After being accepted to Swift River, Adonia had gone on an exploration with Triell. After they had departed from one another to go their separate ways for now, the female decided to go off on her own to discover new things by herself. Surely she would meet with Triell later on, anyway, and she didn't want to be a burden! The she-wolf was in the middle of sniffing some suspicious looking plants when a foreign call cried out from an unknown location. Immediately intrigued, Adonia perked her ears to further pinpoint the sound, and forgot about her previous endeavors almost immediately. The voice was a cry for recognition, one asking others to come and meet her. Moments passed and then she heard a more familiar call. One of Triell. Perhaps the two new each other or were even family members? The female wolf tried to follow the call of the female as well as Triell's, giving a short howl herself saying that she was also approaching. Trotting through the heart of the Swift River territory, eventually she came to a land where a cream colored female stood by herself. Orange eyes looked around as if looking for something familiar, or perhaps even for the answerer of the call? Not wanting to startle the female, the Valde tried to think of what she should say to break the silence without causing alarm. The white wolf decided a simple cough or the like would do. Clearing her throat loud enough for the wolf to hear, Adonia sat in silence to see if the female wolf answer, while still looking around with golden eyes to see if Triell was anywhere nearby.

<blockquote><i> what I thought Suri so no worries. ;) and Adalae that works for me. If
you want another thread just let mek now.</i>

Wide ears were cupped forward listening very close to the tiniest wisps of sound. <i>Come on, where are you?</i> Some magic the voice sung out, and it was much more clear. Surely it had to be his other ivory cloaked sister, one only a year or so older than he. He doubted any of his other sisters would make a call of hope. They had seemed to prefer being away from the grove.

His large paws struggled, grabbing, lifting, pushing harder agaisnt the cold underfoot, and he knew which way to continue. He had ventured some feet before he heard the voice of Adonia coming as well. Immediately his black tail started to sway, and he let out another short howl of his own. <i>I'm almost there.</i>

Some minutes later he picked up the two female scents, and bushed through the lines of trees to see it was really Torla. His tonuge hanging from his teeth, and his lips drawn in a grin he approached her with joy in his stride. She did not look different to him, but he would surely look quite different to her. He had been a lot smaller, but surely she had to know it was him. He had the same yellow-orange eyes, black coat, white patch on his chest, and merry grin.

<b>"Torla,"</b> he said, and then tipped his nose to Adonia before turning back to his sister. <b>"How have you been?"</b> He asked, taking her in before approaching her more closely to plant a wet lick to her cheek.</blockquote>
