The journey from the Grizzly Hollow to the Lagoon had not been long, but still already the sun hung low on the horizon, threatening to plummet to light the sky with it's setting in but an hour or so in time. They had crossed the glade, a vast open landscape which opened to the face of the large body of water now. It was as still as ever, and as silent. The sides of the pool were still icy and no doubt freezing, but for the most part, the every so often ripple of the water in sign of life would allow Elettra to know that spring was soon to come. Though it was harsh and unforgiving, Elettra was accustom for the cooler months and although it would be easier on the pack, would miss in ways the chill it brought. Spring would bring out her herbs more abundant, though summer had never been a season of favorites.
Her thoughts delicately mused at this, whilst silver eyes scanned the landscape from afar. Silver, the larger woman, was still close to her side, willing to learn all she could from the seasoned member of the Hollow. Whilst they were not far in age, the younger girl still found a way to giggle herself quickly into the placement of Elettra's apprentice. Already, Elettra could see the larger woman as useful in more ways then one.
A delicate grumble would then come over Elettra, her narrowed gaze lifting as it turned into the larger woman's direction. "We might be out of luck." Surely, they might stumble upon a hare or two, but for the moment, a herd was not present, or at least that she could see. But the hunt was half about the wait and, with a motion of her muzzle, would ask that Silver take charge on leading the way. Perhaps if they strode around the lake further, they may find something. Silver would have her chance to prove her further uses to the pack by tracking whatever prey was here down.
