Finally with the suns rays gracing her flanks a little warmth began to creep into the air about her. She spotted a suitable large flat rock and decided to take a moment to sun herself. Last night, like all previous nights had been a restless one. Rhysis had all but given up trying to sleep close to her and while she was grateful for the distance with the increasing warmth, he often left before she awoke and returned after she had settled for the night. Ever since he had found out about Sticky they had been distant and it bothered her.
She had plans on gathering her pack together one last time before the pups were finally born. An event from the look of her could be any day now, but she held out. Something in her bones told her it wasn’t yet time. She turned her eyes to a stubborn moon not yet vanished from the rapidly brightening sky with a half chuckle. Her mother always took such signs as omens, though for the life of her she couldn’t remember if it was good or bad...
Regardless, it was a wonderful morning for a song, and so without fear of who may be lurking amongst the boulders that surrounded her, seemingly so far from home in her current state, she threw her head back and sung to the morning of no message in particular. Just a song for the new day. Yes. It was a new day. Things were going to change very soon.</blockquote>
