Celandine Argyris
The magnolia's were in full bloom with Summer bearing it's heat upon them. Shadows fell from bright leaves, and birds perched high above her head singing their sweet songs. It was beautiful, but today was not one to admire such wonders. Instead the Glen's rightful princess had a plan. With her legs growing ever more sturdy, and her sight as clear as it had ever been, Cleandine trudged forward. Already she was farther from the den than ever before. It's comforting aroma becoming less and less apparent. Briefly she wondered why she hadn't found one of her siblings to go along, but clearly they would be of no use. Takis would want to take control of the situation, forcing her to follow his trail, while Evy might tell on them. She was truly wicked, always vying for the spot closest to their mother's heart. She was different too; Her coloration so unlike the rest of their family. Maybe she wasn't even a part of their family, the perfect number would have been four after all.

With a roll of her eyes, the youngest Argyris decided she had no time to contemplate the parentage of her sister. In fact, there was always something better to do, and today, that was finding the creek. She'd head talk of it, and sometimes she swore she could smell it, but it still evaded her. It wasn't long before the air confirmed her course, and she knew she'd chosen the correct way. There was even a faint rippling in the distance. Excited she barreled forward, ready to finally see it with her own eyes.

Albireo Cygni

Albireo, as usual, was up to nothing. He hadn't seen his brother or Phineas lately, assuming the two had gone out scouting or hunting together. With neither of his "keepers" around, there was no one to make Albireo do any work and so he opted to spend the day sunbathing next to the creek.

Albireo had lolled onto his side, his back arced as he stretched and reached his paws into the water. He lazily watched as the crystal fluid formed rivulets over his wriggling toes, just enjoying the sensation. He had nearly started to doze off when he heard a rustling that grew louder and louder with each passing moment. First his ears, then his entire head tilted up and pointed towards the sound, dark eyes staring at the forest trying to determine if it were simply an over sized squirrel.

As a small white puff appeared from the bush on the opposite side of the creek, Albireo jumped to his feet. While he hadn't yet seen Phineas and Borlla's children before, he knew that this had to be one of them by her downy white coat. It would be just his luck for one of the kids to drown while Phineas and Deneb were away. Albireo knew just how it would look to Deneb, even if Al had no part in it.

Teeth bared Albireo barreled across the creek and kicked up spray as he landed on the other bank. "Get BACK!" He snarled, his head lowered as he clacked his teeth at the girl, forming a barrier between her and the water.

Celandine Argyris

Nearing the great body of water, she ran. Only a few more tail lengths, closer than she had ever been to seeing it. Her heart was racing; Excitement rippling through the air. Just behind the bushes, she knew. Barreling through the leaves, she caught a glimpse of it. No sooner did the scent of a pack mate enter her airways, than her eyes fell upon him. A great big beast he was; All noise and teeth. Shocked by his irrational -- at least in her mind -- display of aggression, she felt her heart skip a beat. Goosebumps prickling, Celandine stepped away. As of yet, no wolf save her parents had dared to curl their lips at her. Once she realized he wasn't going to advance, anger began replacing her astonished features.

She could hear the river babbling, and see it glitter though his legs. Why had he stopped her? Donning an arrogance beyond her years, the youngest Argyris stood up straight. Even at her tallest, the male remained heads higher, but she didn't care. After all, she was his princess, and subjects had to listen to their betters. "Move." It was an order given in the squeak of her still-forming vocals, and one she couldn't foresee him refusing. It wasn't his business how she spent her days, and besides he should have been off doing whatever it was the adults did anyway.

Side stepping, she planned on altering her course to sweep around him. That way he didn't have to move his great big body, and she could still dip her toes in the water.

Albireo Cygni

Albireo had assumed a little show of fang would have been enough to send any cub scurrying back from whence it came. The girl faltered, and at first he thought it had worked and he would have the rest of his day to once again laze by the brook. However, she surprised him by standing up tall as her tiny voice squeaked forth a command, his ears twitching as he wondered if he had misheard her. Al's frightening features were quickly replaced with a look of confusion, his head tilting as he stared. She was going to tell him what to do? Just so she could go toddling into the river like a little idiot and he'd get blamed for the inevitable aftermath? Who did this girl think she was.

Oh he'd move alright. Albireo wasn't particularly fast, but compared to the girl he was plenty quick enough to keep moving and intercept her new path. He had his body angled sideways, creating a larger obstacle between her and a watery grave.

"Kid... C'mon." He pleaded, exasperation evident in his voice. "You're gonna get yourself hurt." He rumbled, keeping his muddy eyes trained on her in case she had any tricks up her sleeve. "Isn't there something else you can go do? Go dig a hole or something?" Albireo had no idea what children liked to do in their spare time, though clearly regarding the sage advice of your elders was way on the bottom of that list.

Evy Argyris
Enter Evy! XD

Something was amiss in the den. Evy could feel that someone had left the general area without permission and she had the slightest inclination of who it could be but peeped inside the den just to be sure; her guess was confirmed the moment she didn't see Celandine in the den. It was busy work trying to keep her siblings from traveling too far from the den and though she was seeing less and less of Takis and more of her sister, their relationship was still strained. It probably had everything to do with the fact that Evy craved order and discipline while her siblings strove for an independence that was almost foreign to the eldest Argyris, she did not want to wander further then she needed to and quite enjoyed the company of her parents. Didn't they?

Frustrated and concerned over her sisters well-being she bolted from the den with her eyes trained on anything white, and when nothing crossed her line of vision she lowered her nose to rely on her keen sense of smell. Though she was far from a hunter or tracker, she grew to decipher the scent of her family from the others in the pack and was familiar with their routine; her mother hardly strayed further than a few meter from the den and her father could usually be found near the borders. In between the distance of the pack and the border stood the stench of her litter mates and within a few moments she found the scent of Celandine, still fresh in the air.

Being the oldest had its perks, she was larger and growing wiser by the days, but that did not mean she was anymore braver then her siblings, in fact she disliked going further than was needed but she knew that her sister would need her; she almost always did. "Cella!" she hollered, her voice hardly intimidating enough to scare off a stranger but loud enough to be heard from a distance, "where you go?" she spoke more so to herself than her sister as she glanced over her surroundings. The sound of rushing water caught her attention and she picked up her speed, it came into view just as Albireo blocked the path of her sister, she didn't know whether to leap for joy or attempt to chase this stranger away from her family. "who you?" she asked, her tail hoovered in the air as though it was meant to be arched over her back, "you trouble?" and her eyes narrowed, taking in Albireo's form. She could not remember whether she had seen this male before...

Celandine Argyris

Almost colliding with the great beast, Celandine found her path blocked once again. What a stupid game. She knew it would continue every time her paws moved towards their goal, so she had to outsmart him. But how? Glancing once more at the shimmering waters, she let her rear fall to the ground with an audible 'thud'. The idea hit her almost immediately. She would give up, or at least pretend to for the time being. Although she was delighted with herself for coming up with such a plan, the young girl had to see it through. Acting - albeit quite terribly - as if she truly had given up, she feigned an indignant huff. "Diggin 's no fun." What was even remotely interesting about digging in the mud? Not to mention the fact that she would get all dirty, so at least that part was true.

Then as if on que, the unwelcome scent of her stupid sister penetrated the air between them. Why did Evy always have to ruin everything? Regardless of where Celandine went, she couldn't avoid the plague that was the darker sibling. Just once, the youngest Argyris wanted to actually get away with something. Puffing, she stood to face the girl. "Dis my friend. He watchin' me." Evy thought every stranger was bad news, and that is exactly why she couldn't rule. Strangers had their uses after all, and if you couldn't use those around you, then what would you have? And besides, Celandine didn't think that this male was too bad.

Albireo Cygni
@Celandine @Evy Sorry for the wait guys! I didn't get an alert for the thread :x

Albireo's dark eyes, narrowed to annoyed slits, staying locked on the pale cub. Even though he still managed to thwart her away from her preferred activity, drowning, she still wouldn't leave. "This isn't fun for me, either, kid." He said with an irritated snort.

Albireo visibly cringed as he heard another shrill voice in the distance. As if this couldn't get any worse. To add further insult to injury, they didn't even know who he was! He put blood, sweat, and tears into this pack and keeping these little larva safe, and they didn't even have enough respect to know his name. Al's ears flicked and his tail wavered over his back as he began to pace back and forth along the river bank as he stared at the two tiny nuisances. He kept snuffling as if something was stuck in his nose.

"I'm Albireo. I'm pack, not a friend." He corrected, irritation, annoyance, and disdain somehow packed into those few words. He lowered his head, glaring first at Celandine, then Evy. "There won't be any trouble if you take your sister and go play elsewhere." He added a clack of his teeth at the end for emphasis. Albireo was really not in the mood for babysitting.

Evy Argyris
Her eyes narrowed into thin slits, the velvet of her ebony ears pressed against her skull as she studied Albireo a moment or two longer before her gaze went to Celandine. She mentioned that he was her friend, a large friend indeed, and Evy felt the pang of fear dissipate when she realized what he was doing; like she'd done a million or more times, he was protecting Celandine. Inwardly she thanked the male, grateful for his abrupt attention to detail and a sense of urgency, but his attitude was not like that of a friend, he was rude and seemed in a hurry and the words that came from his mouth next made her shake her head. He was in fact not a friend, but a fellow pack member, she could respect that and the fear she once felt no longer pulled at her heart.

"Come on Cella, he says we can't play here, we should listen to adults..." she had always been the type to listen to her parents and couldn't fathom giving them more worries then the already had. Celandine on the other hand, was a completely different story. She would not be surprised if her younger sister obliged, if was after all tempting for her to leave the den and explore, but Evy was worried about her parent's finding out and she did not want to feel the wrath of Phineas if he caught word of them wandering. "Let's go find Taky or something," and she nudged her sisters shoulder as if to plea for her to listen to Albireo.
